Bill Ward on drums is a beast you can really hear & see his jazz influence on other songs on his approach & kit set up - I'd like to also give a shout out to Geezer on bass who's one of the best but hardly gets mentioned among the other monster players in this band

To really get an idea how incredibly hard this is to play check out Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater over @ Drumeo figuring this song out for the most part & then trying to play it (took him over 3 hrs & he's one of the best in the world !

Speaking of unexpected jazziness and complexity, I'd also suggest "Symptom of Life" by WIllow or really almost anything on that Empathogen album. It looks like you guys are already somewhat aware of Dirty Loops, Snarky Puppy, Chris Thile and now Jacob Collier.

Madison Cunningham also tunes her guitar in an unusual way - lower than usual and more like a cello would. You can hear the difference when she plays and sings. These softer more acoustic versions are great but to see the full genius of Jacob Collier you have to also look at the bigger stuff done with symphonic orchestras, Snarky Puppy, Metropole Orkest, big bands, professional choirs, audience choirs and so on as well as the multi-track stuff he does where it's all him. It could be a capella or multiple instruments but it's on these where the harmonies get really complex, there are shifting tonal centers, negative harmonies, microtonality and the rest. Any of these would do: All Night Long (with Take 6), Moon River, Hideaway (video in his room), Don't You Know (with Snarky Puppy), Bridge Over Troubled Waters (with Yebba, John Legend and Tori Kelly or the live version just filmed in L.A.) In the Wee Small Hours (with saje), All I Need, Time Alone With You, Sleeping On My Dreams or any of the live improvised covers done when he's touring. Keep in mind that I'm just scratching the surface of the 5+ albums and 6 Grammys. Myfavefrom Vol 4 is A Rock Somewhere which he can't do in concert because it requires expert raga singing and sitar.

I have heard in 1973 that Jan Akkerman was probably the best guitarist in the world.

Had to listen to her play this at least 6 times before I could accept it was not some type of trick. I4 yrs old and is a master. She went on to play numerous Led songs and is known by her followers as Jon Bonhams reincarnation. Not to be pigeon holed at nine years old she did a ton of rock songs with incredible skills and actually sat in for the drummer of Fall Out Boy to play a song in concert at 9yrs old. She has gone on to play many songs of highly accomplished drummers. Plays with professional artist at the Whiskey A Go Go. As she and her family recently moved to the USA.

Geils is the guitarist, Peter Wolf is the lead singer, Richard "Magic Dick" Salwitz on harmonica and saxophone, dummer is Stephen Bladd, keyboardist/vocalist is Seth Justman and Danny Klein is the bassist. They were popular in the 70's and early 80's for the most part. "Lookin for a Love", "First I Look at The Purse" and "Centerfold" were just a few of their hits.

John Stamos that plays Joey on Full House has sometimes played with the Beach Boys. But he plays the drums not keyboards.

Azahriah is currently the biggest artist in Hungary. He sold out a 50.000 capacity stadium 3 days in a row. He's 22 years old, and he mostly self produces and plays guitar, piano etc.

I went and found the lyrics. They are Hungarian, though France is mentioned in a couple of places. The whole thing is about being allowed to smoke the "good ganja," if they want to. Can you guess what that is? GANJA definition: a highly potent form of cannabis , usually used for smoking The lyrics also talk about "big brother," which I would take to mean the government. I'm definitely not "into" have the government tell everyone what they may or may not do. However, I'm also definitely not "into" have a highly-potent form of cannabis for anyone to smoke, at will. The argument in the lyrics seems to be that cannabis IS a healing herb, and that the government is wrong, that it should be controlled. There you go. I do also believe in at least some of the healing capabilities in cannabis, but I've seen "a little" go WAY too far, in two of my three boys (sigh). So...yeah...the MUSIC jumps out and pleases, but I'm not so sure about the lyrics. I see from the comments below, that quite a few people already have the meaning. 😀

Azahriah is a Hungarian artist with a unique style. He just had a triple arena show in Hungary’s biggest arena. All three show was sokd out whick means 50k tickets per show. Last year he had a europe tour as well.

Live Aid was a multi-venue benefit concert and music-based fundraising initiative held on Saturday 13 July 1985. The original event was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise further funds for relief of the 1983-1985 famine in Ethiopia, a movement that started with the release of the successful charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in December 1984. Billed as the "global jukebox", Live Aid was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London, attended by about 72,000 people, and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, attended by 89,484 people. This was their first ever live performance. It was at a festival in The Netherlands. They have since toured excessively.They don't do 'concerts' or 'gigs', they perform rituals. I've attended two different rituals in London in the last few years and each time, it has been spiritual and emotional. A few more songs of theirs (It's pronounced Hi-lung and is German for 'Healing') are In Maidjan (featuring the amazing vocals of Maria Franz) and Krigsgaldr (War Chant) from this same performance, Anoana (either the official video or the live performance from the Lynn Dain (London) ritual in 2023 and Traust, filmed at the ritual at Red Rocks, Denver.

Azahriah was the singer here. He's a young prodigy from Hungary, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He writes his own music, the lyrics of the songs, he does the master for them and he loves to mix genres even throughout the same song. He releases at least one album per year and many collaborations (like this one with L’entourloop), LPs, and he’s only 22. He had a triple concert on the last weekend of May in the biggest stadium in Hungary were he sang in front of 45k-47k people each night (cca. 140k in three days). The guy is just unbelievable.

I was in LA in Dec. 23 and at Red Rocks in Apr. 24, both amazing experiences. If Heilung tours near you, go, even if you have to walk. You won't regret it.
