I think Kanak is going to be a force this year. It’s time for him to shut up all the crap talkers. His best game as a Sooner, from what I could see was the Alamo Bowl and he was killing those guys. I got a feeling BV will have him as a destroyer of worlds by the time OU hits conference plays. Mark my words. He might end up on a few awards lists by the end of the season as well.
@SchoonerOffRoad hope it clicks for him. Kanak has the talent. Just seems to be out of position or lost in coverages. But, he is best when attacking with his speed. We need him to step up.
Yeah, I think it’s easy to overlook Kanak a bit, but going into year three, he should take a leap.
Kanak was giving up wide open plays over and over in the spring game haha hes likely 3rd string!
I remember during the spring game Dusty Dvoracek didn't realize his mic was hot and said "Kanak screwed that up, don't think they can play him"
@@OkieTradez There aren’t many guys who have ever came into D1 college football straight out of high school and completely changed everything that they ever did since they started playing at a young age and did great right out of the gate. Hell there are guys who played nothing but a certain defensive position in high school, who have came into BV’s defense and could not pick it up (already knowing that position). This guy played QB in high school and is now playing in one of the most complicated defenses in the nation. Even Stutsman and Bowman had problems with understanding this defense. I know what I see, and what I see is a great player to be. At the end of the season, if I’m wrong about the young man then I will be the first to say it. With that being said, you can bash him all you want (and hopefully that’s what he needs is for people to run their heads so he can prove them wrong) but I still believe, he will be one of the main reasons OU goes into this season clobbering opponents. Mark my words…..
OU came out of the gates real slow with NIL but figured out the new football landscape quickly.
I think they were just making sure they had a good grasp of the landscape of NIL and the legalities of it. Now… to the moon.
@@LockedOnSoonersMidZoo really smacked.....thinking they had the deep pockets and could outspend us Because of what they gave Cayden Green and that they beat us out for Williams Nwaneri. They grabbed two boys ..(one questionably) who basically just wanted to stay closer to home and it's my understanding that Oklahoma matched Missouri's NIL but Green already knew he was leaving regardless (but was using NIL as an excuse).....and yet....they smack HARD. 2 players.....TWO.....
I’m a little surprised Jay didn’t include Billy in his All American pre-season list. Just my take, but I felt like he and Danny got shafted last season.
I guess I kinda get it. The Sooners get no national respect until they remove all doubt regarding their true prowess. I guess this season is the time for The Crimson and Cream team, and Nation to flex their muscles and show the uninitiated what the Sooner Nation is all about.
I think there are a number of directions you could go.
Great show guys!!! I looked into the brokelahoma thing last summer and came away with the same opinion “it is a false narrative!!” If I may, I would like to throw out something Curtis Lofton.. getting him on board will pay dividends quietly in the background. He has been successful at every level of football and played for BV at OU!! He has talked about how BV was pushing him to be a better football player and he really did not appreciate it until after he got into the NFL. I hope our young LBs will take advantage of his presence, sit down and listen to what he has to say
