- On Aug 30, 2023, officers with the Santa Clara-Ivins Police Department were dispatched to Jodi Hildebrandt’s home after a call of a 12-year-old who looked emaciated and injured appeared outside of a neighbor’s home.
According to police, it was learned that the 12-year-old was the son of “8 Passengers” creator Ruby Franke, who was staying with Hildebrandt.
In this video, KSL TV follows the timeline of police as they find and question Hildebrandt and Franke by using body camera footage provided by authorities.

@@dogelife7901 Don’t be obtuse. It’s the fact that she realized she was doing something WRONG. She looked for the boy 20 minutes after he escaped, and saw him at the neighbor’s house. (Other videos show this, as well.) She immediately went home and called her lawyer. If she didn’t think this was an issue, and that she was in the right, she wouldn’t have been worried. But she Immediately ‘lawyered up’. And that speaks VOLUMES!

What upsets me is that she's crying and scared. How did she think those children felt being held captive, starved and beat! They were scared for their lives and she didn't care at all!

I heard in another news interview that Russell had already escaped. Jody called Ruby and told her to come back that while Jody was out looking for Russell she encountered the police and told them that he was missing however, as soon as they received the 911 call from the neighbors they went straight back to Jody‘s, which is where this video starts she was already on the phone with her attorney before the cop showed up because she knew she screwed up

But I do know when the lieutenant got on the phone and was talking to her attorney and pretty much giving him kind of what was going on and how the boy was found the look on her face is just pure... I don't think the husband knew what was going on because he had already made the move a year prior to and agreed to pretty much stay out of her life to " better their marriage" there's an interview with the dad and he explains everything leading up to their separation and that they had a verbal agreement and nothing was on paper. He honestly agreed to leave the home because of their marital issues but it's very clear in the interview that he indeed thought he was doing the right thing by leaving and giving her what she wanted. Honestly what I think is yes they had marital problems and they chose to separate but it was a control power move on her to get the father out of the picture so he wouldn't notice any of this stuff going on.

I believe the LDS church owns the prosecutor's office after I heard him speak and what he said did he not read her journal I couldn't even listen to the journal which was being read on CZcams channel I had to switch it off I could not listen to it anymore. They didn’t need her phone. They had probable cause to enter the house. They didn’t have probable cause to take her phone. Plus since she was on with her attorney they don’t wanna risk any gray area of not allowing her to speak with him.
Also deleting evidence on a phone is another criminal charge so they would have recovered that evidence and then charged her with another crime

I think it is if the space the files were in get written over/taken up by new files. For example, let’s say Jodi wiped a video and throws it away in the trash can too, and then records a new long video, the old deleted video might not be recoverable because the new video overwrote that save spot.

Both of these people should never see daylight again after what they have done to these kids they will need all kinds of therapy by someone who doesn't know either of them. I also find it hard where are the other 4 children ? No one said I truly hope they are safe and doing well. I want both of them to go to General Population so they can experience what they put these Beautiful Children through. I also thank God the second neighbor was home and gave him food and something to eat in a very long time may the Good Lord Bless you over a Million times. Bc there’s certain rights and protections each civilian has and they don’t have a warrant to take her phone
The more she uses the phone the more evidence they can get from it once it’s searched. If she calls the mother and says don’t come or anything that will impede the investigation is another charge. In another video the mother knew to call a friend to go get the other children before she arrived on scene so there was some type of communication happening, whether the lawyer called the mother and warned her they’d find that out.

@@545linda yes I figured out that the women who answered the door wasnt the kids Mom do you know who she was I'm guessing from the fact she was literally already on the phone to her lawyer when the police banged on the door she knew full well that trouble was coming so was she also abusing the children did she know what was happening with the children and who even is she
I know I'm asking a lot of questions but I'm unsure exactly what has happened all I know for sure is that the mother has been charged for abusing her kids and the abuse has been very bad and has been going on for a long period of time unless I'm getting that wrong if you could let me know the full story? It’s where they found the rope and handcuffs used on the boy. Another video shows the search of the room. Psychologists report it is not built as a safe room, but as a prison of sorts. Also, it had been recently cleaned, so 2 years/6 years, whatever she wants to go with is a line of 💩.

What they did is sick and makes no sense. They have beautiful families, they seem well off too. Why put kids through that. Strange things come out of Utah. There seems to be a pattern forming. This reminds me of the Lori Vallows or whatever her name was. It also reminds me of the abuses in the polygamy cults.

From the news story both of them only got sentenced to 4 years, and the dad is trying to get custody when he probably knew this was happening and wasn’t around for them. 4 years which they might serve 2, they already have parole meeting set up for September….
