This is just one of a series of videos I will be putting together showing the process I have been using for over 27 years in finding and repairing door panel rattles. Noises in brand new cars creep up and can be so annoying making you feel that your hard earned money bought you nothing but a piece of junk. Unfortunately tolerances and mass manufacturing are to blame for these issues and the lack of QC but do not worry because there is a simple solution that you can do on your own with the simple materials I outline in this video. Today we demonstrate on a 2017 Infiniti Q50 S Red Sport 400. Do not waste your time with dealership visits they will not take the time to do this protocol so I suggest you do it on your own or find a reputable custom car shop near you who can handle it.
Make sure you buy enough sound mat because you do not want to remove your panels to find out you will run out and can not complete your job.

Thank you for this video. It helped eliminate the noises from my driver side door panel on a 2009 Honda Fit. As a side note, I added Kilmat to the metal door. On the removable panel, I applied most of the techniques that were recommended in this video. I used the same tacky gummy black adhesive that I removed from the plastic sheet to deaden and "glue" in place the red plastic clips on the panel and it worked. All the red clips stayed in place and were no longer loose. Will repeat on the passenger door.

    2 Questions:
    1) Does using the window weld on the door side of the door panel clip (shown at 19:54 of your video) make it harder to take off the door if I need to remove it again? I understand using the WW on the panel side of the clip, that isn't meant to come off...but the clip is supposed to pull away from the door and it seems like the WW will cause this to be more difficult.
    2) Do you recommend putting some window weld along the top channel that slides over the door near the window slot? I have a Toyota Sienna and the door panel hangs on the edge and I suspect it rattles around on that surface, but much like question #1, I am concerned that using the WW on that junction will cause the door panel to be difficult to remove from the door later.

There should be a support group for guys with cars that have rattling / buzzing sound. My Mercedez Benz 2018 GLC300 has something loose in the back door driver side (right behind my ears) and it's driving me crazy. It's making my speaker's buzz. My wife doesn't hear it. Dealer has looked at twice, can't fix it. I either sell the car or try this. Good video

Hoping someone can help me out. I have bass rattle coming from the lower b pillar on both driver and passenger side HOWEVER I only get the rattle when the door is closed. When it is open I hear no rattle. Would this procedure help me out? I have a crosstrek and the door panels appear to be really easy to take off so I don’t expect any issues there. HELP! LOL

Quick update: for my Mazda3, I need to cover as much of the door panel with Kilmat because it's hard to tell where the rattle is coming from. I did this the 1st time and will have to go back and do it a 2nd time because I'm sure there are a few areas I missed. Mind you, I covered about 80 to 90% of the door panel. These car companies need to do a better job

Recently my wife's 2017 sienna passenger's door is rattling when stepping my gas. I hit the door and it goes away and comes back. It's about 30 degrees here so I think cold whether has something to do with that
