Thanks for a thorough educational video. Searched for pyrite for 1st grader to watch after learning the Greek word pyre. Most of the videos talk about the "aura" of pyrite ans how to get rich from pyrite. This video is exactly what I was looking for!
Super cool, amazing. Im interested in how to effectively clean pyrites from coal, in my experience it is difficult and bothersome to clean all cavities, so how would you do that properly is my question
Thanks for this video! I like your passion for pyrite :). I was wondering if you know anything about why pyrite is considered a good example of an authigenic material
Pyrite is the show theme for the 50th Annual Gem, Mineral, Fossil, Show & Sale at the Mid-Hudson Valley Gem and Mineral Society in Poughkeepsie, New York. So I'm more fond about getting Pyrite in many forms or varieties.
Great job...especially with the real gold..myour baby! Have fun in all of your quests and keep teaching but never stop learning ! That's keeping your treasure chest full!your treAsure chest #always filled with love and leArning. Are you in California? I am always hounding up and down the creeks....its amazing to be in a volcAnic region here with nAtures diamonds nature is a mAze of amazements😁
As a teenager my brother and i gathered Pyrite by the pocket full for slingshot ammunition from a river bed in illinois . In gravel beds we looked for round, ish brown stones in sizes from marble to half dollar size , the pyrite was eyther gold or silver and much heavier than stones of equal size .
iron pyrite is excellent for flint and steel fire lighting as it sparks very well. You can use either your steel striker or your flints to spark though your steel striker is best (as it generates the most sparks). You also didn't mention marcasite the most reactive type of iron pyrite (and the best type for use for flint and pyrite fire making)
And pyrite (or marcasite) can also be former into Stigmaria (a fossilized root)-I’ve got some which is approx 300 million years old. I found it here in Central Iowa
I was a mineral nut when I was young, Dad brought me samples from mining operations all over Texas and Louisiana and I had a bodacious collection including some nice pieces of pyrite. But these samples you showed are brilliant-and-a-half. Fantastic show, and some interesting education. Would you like to learn how you can make your own pyrite, from materials commonly available?
Everything Nature OK, the most important thing is to start with a good crust. No matter what kind of filling, whether fruit, custard, whatever, your bottom crust has to come out right -- not burned but not soggy. I'll see if I can find some links to post...
You have some of the best lighting unlike others who complain about not seeing to well because of the camera lens not being able to capture a good emage
Glad I found your video. Is it safe to keep a "raw quartz with pyrite" as they advertised inside my home? It looks like one on your video when you said, this one is "cooler".
I wonder have you ever tested it with a multimeter, for a continuity test for gold? Electricity runs through gold, not pyrite. People have what they think is pyrite, and they actually may be cavalarite gold, gold and silver mixed with tellerium
+xGenetic Beast I'm not an appraiser myself at all but the value of your pyrite cube depends on the size, quality, and if there are any other cubes attached. I've seen centimeter sized cubes sell for as little as 10$ and large clusters go for a few hundred.
I found a rock in a river turns out its clay or something because it was easy to break and i found a couple of tiny rocks that look like gold and what im seeing im this video im between whether it is or not gold.
I love pyrite too, it's so beautiful. I also like it more than gold. I just don't see w&y people would destroy a perfectly good specimen of pyrite, for a tiny bit of gold. I don't think that it's worth it.
Wow i love the rough sparkly one. Is Pyrite poisonous, does it release toxic gas? Also does it react to essential oil? Really appreciate if anyone could answer.
Thank you for the great video! Very educational. I bought a hunk of pyrite today, it's so beautiful and I love how heavy the mineral can get.
Love, love your vids, with or without baby. The info is so rich and different from the other channels. Thank you dear for your work. I subscribed❤️
I love your energy and explanation of Pyrite. Thank you! ✨

Hi do I charge pyrite? I heard that I can charge it in salt and in the sun. Am I able to charge it next to amethyst?

What if my pyrite cluster starts oxidising, white powdery substance can be seen, it is harmful, what can be done?
A shame you haven't posted in 5 years really great video 👍
We have many pyrite here..do they have value? Thank you.
I'm trying to figure out what I have, my small piece looks like how quartz grows, with many crystals, it's silver with a light gold glow.

Can certain types of pyrite be non-magnetized.
How to clean pyrite with crystal quartz?
Glad I found your video. Is it safe to keep a "raw quartz with pyrite" as they advertised inside my home? It looks like one on your video when you said, this one is "cooler".
And..you can even melt it down and let the sulfur burn so you can “extract” the iron from it :)
I was just panning for gold yesterday, I only found pyrite.
rip
Well, it isn't a COMPLETE and TOTAL loss. Pyrite can still be useful.
Would iron pyrite or pyrite be attracted to a magnet?

Lol the baby I thought you aren't supposed to handle pyrite its tocic if it enters the blood stream? Is that true?
Pyrite could become acidic when in contact with water because it contains Sulphur which becomes Sulfuric Acid when in contact with water.
