Awesome! Thanks! Keep binge watching. I do the same thing when I find a new channel I really like. I think it helps the channel a lot when people watch the older videos.

Hi Nutter, I would be interested in a run through of the fuel pumps Polaris used in the 70's and 80's. My sleds used Mikuni and am interested in parts interchange. Thanks

Nutter what size of flex hone would an XLT take, with 2.561" bore? My XLT engine is torn down right now, I want to use stock pistons and rings just need to crosshatch. It's measuring 2.561" in both axis.

Since they sell them by the cylinder diameter you answered your own question. Get a 2.5". Try a 220 grit silicone carbide.

Nothing wrong with torqueing the base nuts the way you are, done it that way and done it just buy pulling on the wrench. I find that if you tighten them some on the bench and then when the engine is mounted in the sled, that way you dont have to try to hold the engine while you tighten. Works for me... your milage may vary.

Wondering if you know the diameter of the flex-ball hone? Looking to get one for doing 295, 340, 400, and 500. Pretty sure I'll need more than one, but wondering if you know what MM range the one you're using is. OR... the one you used on Lonnie's (or was it Dennis's) 340? Oh... and of course, what grit? I assume something on the finer side?
Going to save this video! I'll probably still have questions but you covered a lot of details that will help me as I dive toward wider horizons.

It's a different hone than we used on the 340s due to the size. The best thing to do is to do is to go to the flex hone website, which is actually brushreasearch dot com. It's all covered on that web site.

@@nuttersspeedshop Once again... thank you very much!
I checked it out and found it overwhelming. Can you believe there wasn't enough info for me to feel like I know what to choose? This has me second guessing a few things...
