So this puzzle was quite unexpected. I expected a basic cheap magnetic 3x3 based on the price point. I was surprised to see and experience how good this puzzle actually is. It is the best budget magnetic cube, and I hate calling it a "budget" cube, as it performs like a much more expensive flagship puzzle.
Corner cutting is great, no corner twists, stickers are high quality and good shades (for me), it's super smooth and also very quiet. One thing I forgot to mention, when I added the DNM-37 to it, it became a little bit louder, but hardly, yet worth mentioning.
I recommend this puzzle to everybody, not just beginners. It's more than worth the money!

or hair just went in, it's really common to see hair in the core, it just mysteriously goes in and gets tangled up

You could mark out the in camera area with tape so you wouldn't have to keep looking up. Less professional, but it still works.

ayeee i just tried the mgc and the huanglong today!!! the mgc is pretty slow out of the box as compared to the other flagships from other companies. its decently stable too. personally, i feel tt the magnets do a good job in keeping the cube in shape. yall shld get it!!!!DEFINITELY BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

I was into speed cubing around 2006-2008 era. In the last few months, some co-workers began getting into cubing and so naturally I started doing it again too. I hadn't heard of magnets inside a Rubik's cube until my co-worker told me about it a few weeks ago. Just placed an order for this cube, definitely wanna try to crack my old PB from back in the day with this thing.
I've never tried magnetic. I'm not really a speed cuber, especially recently, but I am tempted to try this one out after your recommendation.
The anti-corner twist design is really clever in the mcg. The mcg reminds my of a modern aolong

i started cubing about 4 months ago and i have never tried a magnetic puzzle. but now that i average just about 20 sec i figured i would buy the GTS2M ... i'm super excited!! i should arrive in 10-20 days.. i ordered from amazon because the only cubing related website sells its stuff over amazon and i don't have prime so the shipping takes years
For making sure you're in frame for the overhead shot, have you thought of putting tape or some other type of marking on the table just outside the frame of the camera that you can use to make sure you're in frame?

I have a YueXiao Pro M and a GTS2 M. Not a huge fan of the YueXiao, though I do like the cube, but I love my GTS2 M, especially since I'm pretty aggressive in my turns. I'm still waiting on my MGC to arrive (it finally shipped today) and am very excited to try it out. Thank you for the positive review on this one. Have seen a few that haven't been so positive.

My main is the Gan Air UM, and I like it a lot. It’s so much more controllable than my non magnetic puzzles.. definitely not a gimmick, as you said. I am about to try my hand at magnetizing a regular Gan Air and see how it comes out. AlsoI recently ordered the cubicle labs thunderclap 4x4 and WuShuang 5x5, because I’ve seen tons of good reviews about them, and I’m excited to try out some good bigger puzzles, as all I have are cheap 2 Star bigger puzzles (except for a WuJi 7x7)

This is my first mag, i like my lil magic too. Today I ordered gts2 m, so maybe a blend of the two. The cut in the torpedo seems unique, its a quiet puzzle for sure.
i’ve never used a magnetic puzzle mostly for price reasons. if i hadn’t of pretty much just bought a new cube i would definitely picked this up and probably will in the future.

I absolutely love magnetic cubes! I have a MoYu WeiLong GTS 2M and a Cubicle XingHen M and I have nothing that bad to say about either of them. It's a really nice thing to see quality magnetic cubes that are also cheap.

Well I hadn't tried a magnetic puzzle until Saturday when my MF3RS2 came in. Magnets are great.
I have not tried one just yet. I just haven't taken the time to buy one yet, and my solving isn't fast enough for it to make a difference I would assume. I am at like 45 seconds
chandler wheat It's not so much about how much it will affect your solves, it's more about what keeps you wanting to practice. If you are using a really locky cube or a cube that has really bad shades, then it can just not be fun to solve, consequently you will practice less.

I've tried the GAN 356 Air UM with a schoolmate of mine (purple nuts. Kept locking up). I say It's beneficial for the majority of the turning styles as it keeps it stable. My main is the GTS2 (no magnets)( Thanks to CrazybadCuber and a few more reviews I watched before buying it) With magnetic cubes I reckon in the future the prices of the magnetic cubes will be fitting in the budget and regular top speedcubes. (Like MF3RS2M, Yuxin Magic and Huanlong, GTS2(Might be getting a magnetic one)). What's your perspective on this?
instead of looking up you could put marks in the table just off frame that will guide you
The first magnetic 3x3 I ever tried was just a few weeks ago, the Shengshou Mr. M. Now that it's broken, it's quite nice! Next I want to get the Cubicle Little Magic M and the Cubicle MF3RS2 M.
I have one budget magnetic cube, Yuxin little magic, and for me it’s really unstable. Plus it’s a black cube when I usually use white so my recognition is shit. I really hope the huanlong comes out in white

Update: received the cube today. What a totally different experience than the regular cubes I’ve been using. It’s a new world for sure. But it’s best feature so far is that it is quiet. It’s a really great cube.

I think magnetic cubes are awesome but I've only ever tried my friend's gts2m. I wanted to get a magnetic cube but my main is the Valk so I can't really see how budget cubes like the z-magnetic can beat it out

Adam Simonsen it feels alot lile the valk power also its not as quiet when you break in the lube but it is still relatively quiet you could say
I have both this cube and the SM. I really like both, but they have quite a different feel, but they’re performance is pretty similar.
I've honestly never tried a magnetic cube the best 3x3 i have ever owned is either a cyclone boys 3x3 however it was stolen so i got a thunderclap v1 ill try this cube out now

I hadn’t been involved in speedcubing since early high school when lancetheblieknight and monkeydude1313 were the youtubers to watch. Recently a coworker let me try his magnetized speedcube and it blew my mind. Now I’m just trying to figure out what cube to order first. This looks promising since it’s cheap.

I only have one magnetic puzzle and it's my Pyraminx, so that's a bit different, but i enjoy it a lot. I'm not a speed solver by any means, but for 15 bucks i'm really tempted. it could be the thing that gets me into it.

Never used a magnetic puzzle and my main 3 by 3 you guys might think it's stupid but I use a Rubik's brand from Walmart as my main right now

Jesus Fonseca there's no need to be sub 15 to get a magnetic puzzle, especially when there's a very good one like this for so cheap.

I have never held a magnetic cube in my hands. I really want one. But since I don’t solve that fast( around 40 seconds) I don’t think that I need one.
k get this and the strong magnet kit from cubicle.us. glue the new magnets on to the stock ones, change the springs to the soft ones they give with the cube, tension to how you like, add whatever lube you prefer and bam, you have a main killer.
You should move the camera a a little over your head and facing out so it looks more like a point of view shot.

This isn't really intended to be a budget cube. YJ is positioning it as a flagship - just a flagship that's cheaper than all the others. It's definitely meant to compete with the GTS2Ms and so on of the world.
I've never used a magnetic puzzle and am looking at getting one soonish! My main is an aolong v2 I've been cubing about two months and my PB is 18.34! I average around 30 seconds tho😂 any puzzles anyone really recommends? Thx
