Something tells me they overlube just to be safe then in shipping it drips out. Or maybe they overlubed it to slow it down. In any case, it does look like a very good 3x3! So I guess Dayan caught back up to the rest.

FYI, the corner face tiles came off really easily for me, but the side tiles were a massive pain.
(I broke one of the inner tabs, but the face still stays on the cube just fine)
So does it come pre lubed when bought?

The Slower Purple Lube is Compound X, and the faster Blue one is Compound V. I remember it because the slower lube is a higher number. Weight 5 is slower than Weight 1, is Compound X is slower than Compound V.

This is phils main and many people say the magnets are too weak, but they are definitely doing their job. If there were no magnets, the cube would have been super uncontrollable and unstable.
If only the magnet are more stronger, i think it might have some more people maining it.

I can think of a couple places you could put that lube to good use
If it's too fast, then swap the springs for the stronger ones, it will slow it down
Review the mf3rs3 m next dude. It's pretty good
With the qiyi cubes they put spray lube in their cubes according to their video on the factory

I rather have it overlube then underlube tbh, it may have a gummy feeling but breaking in is gonna feel good, yea its greasy but we can always wiping off, like my gts3m came with no lube absolutely dry.

I haven't upgraded from a zhanchi. I haven't really seen a need for it. It works great and I'm not a crazy speedcuber anyway. I can solve fast enough to impress normies, but I wouldn't be special in the least bit around these parts
Just for whoever lubes the dayan cubes. You’ve got to put the lube on the INSIDE of the cube. Not the outside 🤦♂️

I havent cubed since 2012 probably so i have a question. Are these new cubes really that much different from a guhong or an original zanchi? I mean solving times are still pretty much the same, its just that cubes got all fancier but without much purpose i feel. I was really weirded out the moment i saw that its normal for cubes to have magnets, kind of like the effect the torpedoes in the classic cubes had on the community when they were used.
