  • ‘I have no obligation to oblige by that warrant.’ - This citizen stopped ICE agents from arresting 2 undocumented immigrants because he knew his rights.

In US news, this citizen immigration activist stopped federal agents from ICE from arresting 2 undocumented immigrants in his car. DHS, ICE, and border patrol have been emboldened under the President Trump administration. Donald Trump has made it his immigration mission from the White House to demonize, detain, and deport immigrants. In tandem with Trump, Fox News has amped up its rhetoric against illegal immigrants.
Bryan MacCormack is the executive director of a local immigrant rights group. He was pulled over on March 5 with two undocumented immigrants in his car.
ICE agents attempted to detain MacCormack’s passengers
An ICE warrant directs various federal immigration enforcement agents to arrest the person named in the warrant. Because it is not issued by a judge, an ICE warrant does not give the immigration enforcement officer the authority to demand entry to a home or private space in order to make the arrest.
    - Immigrant Legal Resource Center
MacCormack was accompanying the two immigrants to court
for traffic-related offenses on the morning of the incident. He says he was pulled over after leaving court. ICE has increasingly used ‘courthouse arrests,’ especially in New York. One study found a 1700% increase of these arrests in NY from 2016 to 2018.

It's not being a bully. It's a citizen who is willing to break the law for law breakers and federal agents doing their jobs of arresting and deporting illegal immigrants. How that young man driving the illegals, do the right thing by taking them back to their country, help them out with their Visa status so their not illegal and then help them across the border legally. If you come here illegally and try to skip the process or if you over stayed your Visa and did not decided to renew as you should. Your breaking the law. An order came down to arrest. Those agents had prior knowledge of those illegal immigrants on the records. At some point those illegals broke a few laws that got them on record. I think illegals should fix their country of they think it's bad. Just like how the YPG are fighting in Syria, or Iraqis kicking ISIS our of Iraq. Thousands of people have fallen for that. ICE officials are also trained to say they are police, even though they aren't. One key factor in the use of the title "police" when issuing this fake warrant is this: if it were an actual police officer, with an actual warrant, they would be allowed to enter a home without permission. But they use that title as intimidation to gain access to homes, once access is achieved they are able to make arrests to any immigrants in the home, even if they are not listed on the warrant.
So do not allow them in the home. Give them no information.

How is it fair that just because someone is born in a certain place they have an advantage in life over people who are born in other places? The reason most people illegally immigrate is because they need better jobs to provide for themselves or family and have a better life in general. Making a visa hard to obtain isn't helping them at all and just forces them to migrate illegally. They don't have a choice, in some instances it's do or die.

Let me complete the lesson - knowing your rights is important but knowing the limits of your rights is just as important.
For instance, you're speeding. The cop asks you for your license registration and insurance. He asks where you're going in such a hurry. You have the right to remain silent and it's better that you do. He asks you if the address on the license is current. You have the right to remain silent but it's better that you don't. If you don't verify your address he might decide to arrest you instead of giving you a ticket and sending you on your way. Your answer will not effect the strength of your case, but it might save you the expense and inconvenience of an arrest.
Let's say you are walking down the street and the cops stop you because you resemble the description of someone who shoplifted a bag of skittles (all black people look alike, you know.) In the detention, the cops frisk you for weapons. You have read Terry v Ohio, and you know that cops can only frisk you if they reasonably believe you are armed. You charge them with an illegal search because they had no reasonable suspicion that you were armed. The judge thinks that guns are so ubiquitous that it is reasonable to suspect that everyone is armed, and rules against you.

ICE has no authority over US citizens at ALL, and only has powers to detain within a limited distance from the border...
A police officer needs a warrant to enter your home, search your car etc.. A warrant needs to be signed by a judge in order to be valid..

Thank the Lord my mom is just waiting for her papers to process soon .after 22 years ya"ll . Wish her luck !!
UPDATE: we're one more step closer guys ..... she's getting her fingerprints done so they can run her and see if she has a criminal record they say it can take anywhere from a week to a month She knows she doesn't have any record . and once that's done they'll really speed up the process . Also she heard that you can get your license with those fingerprints so shes going to ask and hopefully get her license as well .
UPDATE 08/24/19 : she got her license!!! They are sending it over mail . She ia so excited. More excited than a 16 year old. Lol . She is also getting her permission to work and is continuing to wait for the papers. You guys should see how excited she is , she's even looking into going to college . She never even thought that would be possible so she doesnt know what to study lol .
Btw for those who want to know . My mom is getting help from a friend who is a freaking angel. She is literally helping my mom with everything . She's Mexican herself but is a citizen due to her husband being American . She's actually a huge advocate in immigration stuff like protests and like 100 different things she's literally on the news almost everyday and her husband is sponsoring my mom . I couldn't sponsor or get her papers due to the fact that i would have to make enough to take care of 4 people .(My mom and siblings that stay live the house ) and my brother who is a marine is only 20 and would have to be 21 to sponsor through military . So yeah it's so tedious lol and also for those of you that are curious my mom has dropped around 10k and like also likely drop 10k or more in the next few months for legal fees and documents .

My mom and I were wrongfully pulled into traffic court a year and a half ago for violating some kind of “drop off” area law that can only be used for ubers at my local mall. It was really strange. When we got there, we were the only two white people there, along with Hispanic, black, and Muslim families with the same exact “issue”. The person who eventually talked to us referred to the previous family in the office (the Muslim family) as “these people.” We met one of them outside, thankfully talking to her lawyer. Long story short, watch out for discrimination in traffic court. Always speak up. Please.

k3V because they were going to curt so that means they’re trying to fix their situation. Being here illegally is a misdemeanor so just like if you speed or keep a gas grill on your porch in cities that don’t allow it

Ppl in the comment section crying saying "Who uses alien? Only america uses it! It's dehumanizing!"
    1. Alien means foreigner. It stayed that way for a long time until modern culture gave us the new term alien which means extraterrestrial beings. Its root is latin, which literally means foreigner.
    2. Government documents say alien. These documents are from Japan, the US, and from Thailand. Some countries use it too, calm down.
Stop crying cause one word is 'dehumanizing.' You dont even know its original meaning. Before you begin to say "get out of ur bubble of America" Im asian and I dont live in America either. Its such a western thing to get upset over everything like calm down jeez

“An individual interfered with the enforcement action,” you mean..a citizen knew their rights and if they didn’t you would have lied to them and acted unjustly? I thought that’s what you meant boo.
