    Deep water drops on the Sea-Doo FISH PRO Trophy with Andrew Hill
    This is Part 2 of my latest three part video adventure
    Fishing open water at 400 metres deep I decided to test out my Daiwa Tanacom 750 electric reel for the first time.
    Fishing with bait and a deep drop rig, this was all new to me and I had no clues to what deep water monster fish I could hook while Jetskifishing 50 kilometres from the mainland.
    Be sure to also watch part 3 as there is more action to come with my jet ski fishing adventure in New Zealand.
    All Ultimate Reel Covers, Ultimate Jet-ski net, Ultimate Gaf, Ultimate Catch Bag, Sharkskin clothing and all other accessories are available at my online store.

    Cool video thanks for sharing.
    Question - Does your factory fitted transducer scan that deep or did you fit an after market transducer?
    I've done a few deep drops off my Trophy and my transducer scans up to 170m but it is very flakey.

      Cheers for watching, I have the factory sounder and it’s set on standard settings, I got readings up to 350 meters in saltwater (be it they weren’t clear images but it did get the bottom and is 3 times the depth that I normally fish)

    How is the rod holder mounted? I dont think the fish pro quick link rod holder attachments could hold. Can they? Serious question. Awesome stuff.

      The Heavy Duty Rod Holder pictured is available here jetskifishing.co.nz/products/ultimate-seadoo-heavyduty-rodholder-rack it is priced in New Zealand dollars and would be better priced if converted to the US dollar exchange rate. The factory rod holders may not handle the excessive weight of the bigger electric reels and I wouldn’t recommend using the full drag pressure, hence why I choose the stronger placement with the stainless version in the Wake Pole mounts factory screws.

    Great fish Andrew. Keen to give that a go off the West Coast myself. Q. How do you power the reel?

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Před rokem +1

      Same, hoping to do the South Island later in the year. It’s pretty simple, I just add for when I plan deep water missions an AGM battery in the in the netted Sea-Doo storage organiser in the front hatch👍

    All i can say thats not fishing...

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Před rokem +1

      Electric Reel fishing is not a method I use often and realistically after a 50 km physical ride it’s a nice luxury to use when needing to wind up from 1000 feet depth.

    Andrew Iv'e been wondering if there is any way to make volume louder without having to speak louder, as I have to struggle to hear you most of the time bud. Also a curious camera tech question - larger connected mic to cameras - is that possible?

    • @calsportsclub
      @calsportsclub Před rokem +1

      Shit Andrew I just read your reply to the other guy who "keeps commenting" on your mic for your camera - Love your reply and now I understand. Forget my inquiry dude as i don't want your wrath or mean to be a pest!!! Keep sharing and i don't care if I hear you!

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Před rokem +1

      Land based its easy to set up a mic which I have done occasionally. The down side with the way it connects, it takes away the waterproof aspect of the camera the way it connects into the GoPro and is quite intricate how it sets up, which has its only challenges on the water. If it was simple to connect and didn’t take away from the enjoyment and opportunity of the catching, I would do it. You should see how much time it takes to set up the camera perspectives 😄 it’s amazing how far my videos have evolved knowing that all parts of the final production is completed solo. Thanks again for watching, be assured I’m always trying to share as much as I can with you guys within my means 👍

    Fmd, use a mic bro

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  Před rokem

      In the perfect world it would be nice to mic up, but it’s hard enough as it is rigging for cameras and fishing gear by yourself 50 km out at sea. Cheers for watching, I’m expecting a few viewers to give feedback on wind noise…
