This advice is valuable! I just got a large milia pearl under my eye and out towards the temple. I intuitively tried this tip but using Salicylic Acid Paula's choice 2% liquid, the 9% SA spot treatment and then used the overnight exfoliation serum on it too. I used the Salicylic Acid products separately on different days on a qtip as Rob suggests twice a day and then used the serum on top 3 times a week. I wasn't expecting it to work truthfully and thought I would end up going to a dermatologist to have it removed and much to my surprise, it was actually completely gone within less than 2 weeks! I'm shocked but this can actually work! I have the tiniest little patches of micro milia under my eyes but it's only noticeable in a 10x zoom mirror but I'm going to try the retinol eye cream on it and experiment with mild exfoliation on it. I wouldn't use a strong acid really close to my eye, on the eyelid or for a large area close to the eye but it definitely works to get the random milia spot with a qtip that's not dangerously close to the eye!! Great video Rob! 💕

Mixed Makeup ( Susan Yara ) who is here on CZcams has her own brand and she recommended an exfoliating eye cream for those of us in the US if that helps anyone. Great video!I’ve had 2 in the same spot for months one on each side of the face, it’s the area right under my dark circles at the top of the cheek. I’m pretty sure it’s from a really thick eye cream that when put on at night moved down a little bit further than I placed it. My problem is my skin is a bit sensitive and I live with several chronic illnesses that are painful so I skip my skincare routine. I’m really getting annoyed with the milia and since it’s finally starting to warm up ,my painful flare ups aren’t as horrible so I can hopefully get back into my routine. I know what toner’s, serums & moisturizers I can use , my issue is finding a great cleanser that doesn’t cause irritation ,breakouts on my chin or make my skin feel dry and tight when I’m done washing my face, and I haven’t found a great under eye cream that doesn’t cause Milia!? I haven’t used the ordinary brand ,but have definitely wanted to try,and it’s not expensive so if something doesn’t work for me I’m not breaking the bank. Any recommendations on some cleansers? Thanks 😊

Hi! Love your videos rob! So I’ve tried all of this stuff the past 16 months and nothing worked. My derm gave me a lower strength tretinoin and said to use it only on the area where milia are under the eye. It actually can be used up until the lash line, but most people can’t do it without irritation. However my derm has instructed me on a safe, slow way to incorporate the tretinoin under my eyes and I’m having very little irritation.
So basically if you’ve tried everything that Rob said - exfoliators and over-the-counter retinol eye creams, prescription strength retinoid’s such as tretinoin are an option but only if you consult with your dermatologist before and during your entire course of treatment to stay safe.
    Sending love!

I have a milia on my eyelid & I tried everything you rec - glycolic & retinol (tiny amount applied carefully nightly with a q-tip) and nothing has worked. I’ve had this for over 6 months, so this thing is with me for life unless I go to a derm! Chris Gibson has a vid where he extracts them himself & there are comments there discussing casually lancing them. I would NEVER do that - EEK!

I'm glad you got rid of you milia but as an Esthetician I have to say be so so careful putting anything like that or any exfoliating acids under the eye. Our skin is so thin already around the eye area and doing this too often will thin the skin more. This will make you more susceptible to sun spots in the future as well as compromising your skin barrier. Please see your local esthetician for future advice!

I almost never get pimples anymore. But I have blackheads and sebaceous filaments that I fight with salicylic acid.. and I have a few of these milia. Right now I got two (that I am aware of). I tried to fight them with drying lotion from Mario Badescu. Sometimes it works (but it’s not done over just one night).

OMG! I was hoping you’d do a video on this! Milia runs in my family and we all get it worse around our lips! (Tho I have a few around my lower lashes). I guess I have to cut out the argan oil around my eyes and lips to help with wrinkles. Sigh. Every winter I do major peels to work out the deep ones around my lips. I do use the ordinary’s glycolic acid around my lips and neck ( well, actually on my body too!). I will try one of the retin a eye creams you’ve linked (and the ordinary !). Thanks again!

@@liltoto371 Since I wrote this comment I have been to see a dermatologist for this condition. She started me on a very low dose of Tretinoin, and that has done the better job than anything else I have tried.
On the K-beauty websites like Stylevana and YesStyle, you can try the Scinic Cicanoid Retinal cream 30 ml. That is what I was using before and it was working too, just not as well as the prescription strength cream.
The Elf product I use (especially on individual spots that pop up) is the Elf Acne Fighting Spot Gel. It comes in a roller and is $4 here in the US. My husband and I both have our own and keep them handy when needed! I hope this infor helps. Don't hesitate to ask anymore questions!
