    This was very informative, including the exfoliating part. It's also important for people to understand that extracting milia by yourself or popping milia isn't recommended, I think it would be good to mention that Milia is also caused by products that contain dimethicone as that causes a buildup and as a result milia can form.

    Ladies, big fan, but why are you using a model who doesn't have millia? people already have no idea what real, unfiltered, photoshop-free skin looks like, please don't muddy the already clouded waters.

    Hi Sarah and Christine! I actually just learned about milia yesterday when my younger sister, who is an esthetician, gave me a facial at our local Ulta where she works. She told me all about them and how to treat them. I actually had no idea what those little bumps around my left eye were and I was picking at them for the past few days. Nothing happened to them, they just look like whiteheads. I'm so thankful I bought a brand new bottle of your blueberry bounce cleanser (I love that stuff!) and I do have the avocado eye sleeping mask. Thank you for your suggestions! Will definitely try them out :) I adore Glow Recipe. It's such a good brand, the products I've tried are all very gentle and work very well. Even my ultra sensitive skin can tolerate the products. Glad I got some helpful info from a brand I love!

      Hi Jazz! While it's true that some issues are genetic and cannot be changed with skincare alone, there are things you can do to reduce their appearance and minimize the number of milia. Our Avo Eye Mask does both 💚

    • @mikaskorner6082
      @mikaskorner6082 Před 5 lety +2

      You should also look out for products that contain dimethicone as that can also cause milia. You should also go to a derm if they haven't ever disappeared, and see what they recommend! GOOD LUCK!!

      Pragati Pandey My mother used to remove my milia seeds, instead of waiting for them to drop naturally, and it worked until it didn't. Two seeds become enlarged and more prominent, turning into permanent additions to my skin. My dermatologist recommended surgery if I was intent on removing them due to the scarring damage. Nowadays, my new milia disappear on their own after a month or so. Remove at your own risk.

    • @Glowrecipe
      @Glowrecipe  Před 4 lety +4

      They're both formulated differently! You can see a full ingredient breakdown of each on our website, but the Avocado Retinol Face Mask is not formulated for use around the eyes and we would not recommend it, especially because it has gentle exfoliating PHAs in it. The Avocado Retinol Eye Mask does not have PHAs and has the addition of niacinamide and coffeeberry to specifically de-puff and help brighten the eye are. The eye mask has also been ophthalmologist tested to be safe to use near the eyes!
