  • An expanded version of the compact HX Stomp floor processor, the Line 6 HX Stomp XL boasts the same award-winning Helix family pedigree* but ups the ante by providing eight switches, enhanced MIDI capabilities, and an intuitive pedal editing mode. Like the HX Stomp, the HX Stomp XL serves up to eight blocks - amps, cabs, and stomps - per preset, and adds a fourth snapshot per preset for even greater sonic flexibility. Thanks! 2:00 -> 3:47 This is is exactly how I want to use my amp with the HX Stomp XL and my Roland Blues Cube Artist. Bye-bye tone capsules!

I have the XL and love it, but it’s a lot closer to the HX Stomp than the bigger Helix as it has half the processing power. It can still do a ton but wanted to let folks know what to expect. The main upgrade over the HX Stomp is the additional buttons - there’s no additional processing.

Some great info in your video. I got this pedal a week ago. The 4 cable method took me awhile to get working.
Had to put a 'fx-loop' block at the start of the chain otherwise it bypassed the preamp on my DSL-20.

    What model PRS is that?

For me I'd have to get the bigger models only because of the outputs. There's no xlr outs. I'm currently running a HR pedalboard but I'm looking at other options. I run stereo XLRs to the FOH and run a separate quarter inch out from my mono quarter inch out to feed a vocal harmonizer and then run from the through to my frfr. No xlr connections mean having to run a monitor out from the board to the frfr or chaining the frfr to the FOH input. Nice unit, nice size, nice sound but it won't work for me.

What can the Helix HX do, that this can't?

I can’t think of a guitar without saddles, overpriced PRS with no ability to intonate is No No for me.
