Idk, Pat Benatar slayed it with her 1980 cover of Wuthering Heights on her album, Crimes of Passion. But it's not surprising really, Pat was apparently trained in Opera first.

@@Christina-71 It's from an 1847 novel. Kate portrayed the character, mood and period perfectly in her video. Pat and her one dimensional guitarist husband, turned it into just another typical ho hum 80s power ballad. To be expected of course. She just never had Kate's limitless imagination.

I imagine that Kate would be flattered, but these performances make it painfully apparent that she is the true artist who wrote, sang, and performed theses songs. “This Woman’s Work” was beautifully performed by those two singers, but there is depth to the original that was not reached.
The arrangement of the first one was so lifeless.

Some people are totally unique, Kate Bush is definitely one of them, best advice is make it your own, a different version and not trying to copy… I’m glad people sing her songs but they don’t make them justice.
Kate Bush is amazing. Unfortunately,her songs are incredibly difficult to cover. Sadly, none of these performances are impressive.

Kate Bush has an outstanding, amazing voice. You do not just need the skill but literally have grown into such a voice. (Dramatic Soprano, e.g. a voice you can hear over a full orchestra. And nobody in this video came even close to such a voice and talent).

A melhor versão que existe é a do Angra cantada pelo André Matos(R.I.P eterno André)
Não digo que não chega aos pés, mas é talvez o arranjo. Essa música tem um tom gótica que as vozes não conseguem emular. A versão do Angra é boa, mas tira um pouco esse tom...

Wuthering Heights is difficult since every syllable has different melody it's like a curved road and then it turns into a roundabout then it would turn left and straight

Kate's tone is about impossible to replicate, add in her ability to control her pitch eith ease and the range of her pitch, id never recommend anyone try to cover her on a show like this. The only person Id be interested in hearing cover Kate is Florence Welch.
