  • It’s quick and simple. Here’s how I set up my cuttings/propagations into the yarn culture experiment. All the plants growing in this method are doing very well and all the cuttings have rooted. I’m really liking this concept!!!

    This is one of the most innovative plant propagation videos I have come across on the internet. Congratulations. Am a fan of your experiments with so many types of plants. Subscribed. Will be checking out all your videos gradually.
    You seem to be a very scientific minded person who can solve most problems that you come across fairly soon while you experiment. So even failures are steps to success later.

      Wow. What a great comment. I appreciate you so much! You’re exactly right. I’m always trying to think of different/better ways to propagate and grow my plants. So happy you found this. It makes it all worth it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 😃😃😃🌱🌱🌱🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    This is blowing my mind right now 🤯
    The roots are better than any i get when using pon or lecca (it pains me now to think of the money I've spent on pon when I could've used this 🤦)

      We’ve all been there. It’s all good. Definitely a cheaper, easier option. And it’s also reusable since it’s inorganic. I just soak and clean it before reusing it. Thanks again for watching. Means everything. 😃😃😃

      How do you clean the yarn once it gets nasty? Or does it not get slimy and have algae build up?

    • @paultheplantparent2702
      @paultheplantparent2702  Před rokem

      @@lilyt5855 it only gets algae buildup if it’s really close to the light. But I would flush it out with fresh water every month or so. Never became a big problem though.

    how did you crochet your chains? I want to try this. Im excited to see your begonia growth. I tried propagation with my Peace begonia and it has grown leaves from leaf and now I see leaves at the bottom where the roots are😍. How would you change out your begonia once rooted in the polyester yarn? Thank you for sharing!

      That’s so awesome!!!!! I love hearing about these kinds of things. For the yarn chain, I use my hands. You can see how I do that here below. Let me know if you have any questions. 😃😃😃😃😃. czcams.com/video/iizTTnWN3_k/video.html

    What size yarn do you use?

    Can i use macrame strings sotto ? And if yes, can i also transfer a grown begonia in that set up?

    • @paultheplantparent2702
      @paultheplantparent2702  Před rokem

      If the strings are acrylic or nylon and can wick up water, sure. I’ve transferred grown begonias too. It’s definitely possible. 👍🏼

    How about the alocasias?

    • @paultheplantparent2702
      @paultheplantparent2702  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t own any alocasias but I’m going to get some and transfer to the yarn setup. Good questions. I’ll keep you posted once I get that going. 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃🌱
