Such an honest and humble human. What a great guy, and an inspiration to all who want to follow in his path. Love the videos, thank you.
True
Perfect job. A small mistake, but you fixed it. Nice. We are all humans👍
I’m loving this consistent upload !! The more you upload the more we watch !
I been watching you for 1 year now. And thanks for all your videos. My skills went up thanks to you
Low melt solder is life changing! I use a hakko desolder pump to save wick. It works like a dream with low melt.
En español te puedo decir excelente trabajo de los pocos canales de youtube que enseñan a ser honestos con el cliente. Thanks for sharing !
Love watching this guy. Better than some asmr. He gave me confidence and technique with my soldering skills.
One of my mentors used to say the man making the most mistakes is usually getting the most work done.
Thanks for another lesson :)
I've learned new things in every each one of your videos
Another great video. Thank you, i've learned a lot from your videos. Now i am buying good wicks and flux and job is really better and fatser with them.
All thanks and greetings to you, dear brother, for your effort
It’s an interesting PCB that one. Kept in service by one of the best in the business. 👍🏻🇬🇧
in an AV surround sound receiver it sits above the back half or so of the amplifier.
Your video are therapy 😉...fan from "Cagnes-sur-Mer" southern France
Il est très honnête, mon prof préféré avec cet sujet
that solder blob at 7:23 was excited to see me :)
Im always watching ur video im here in the PHILIPPINES😊😊😊 same job but i am a beginner😊😊😊
Lovely to watch.
From France, nice video

Very nice the new view thanks.
good job
He punched a few walls. That is the code for: "I HATE BATTERIES" 🤣
Great job man. And the small mistake you did was nice to show, and you easily fixed it. At least its now better than factory! Same for everything else including the repair work on the HDMI port! Good job
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
It's a pleasure to watch you work, even if you have the wrong hdmi connector pins 😜. What is the melting point of that wonderful tin that you use to remove components? Greetings from Spain, never stop uploading videos and sharing your wisdom. Thanks.
“Punched a few walls in the process”😂😂😂😂😂😂 Ngl tho mate there is no one beating you at this part of CZcams 👌🏻
Yeah I have seen lots of youtube videos and his seem to be the most informative so far. Why punch walls??? Chill out dude
Mistakes make us stronger.
I enjoy working with desoldering wick. It always does magic.
رائع ....
has Alex ever talked about soldering stations/irons? would be nice to know his opinion on what works.
Solid... solid... solid.. solid..
I am using a different technique to remove ports, maybe I am doing it wrong but it works. I do soak the ground legs with leaded solder, and then wick all solder, legs are then lose.
I love your videos at what temperature does lo melt soldr melt
So what type of solder wire should I use to solder?
احسنت
It would be nice if you had some kind of VU meter for your mic signal sitting about eye level so you could tell when you mic battery depletes. I finally started using low melt solder -- I found it amusing that the whole stick softened when I applied a tiny amount of it! xD
It's so fun and f word comes out of mouth when after struggling to pull out a component and then found out that the neighboring component is in your hand
I’m new to your channel and my husband and I love he also fixes a lot and I notice u using looks like blow dryer which mine comes up missing used for heat gun he says lol is that your wife’s blow dryer too lol
I have an onkyo hdmi board same as the one on the video exept different brand. the problem is one hdmi port got corroded and 1 small ic pin got corroded too. how much will it take to repair and partsa plus shipping back and forth. im from the philippines
First viewer here 😊😊 from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️
Im also from PH and watched 90% of his videos. Honest man great guy. Love it.
Is it 60/40 for the application of the smd's?
How many degree did you use in soldering iron in Celsius?
Can you please make a video about fume extraction?
Hey, what are those towels you used at 12:45?
👍😀👍
Hello i have an Marantz sr6011 with a bad hdmi port. I just can't seem to find around the jungle to get a new hdmi socket. I live in Denmark, so shipping for you is not a option. What hdmi socket do i need, so i can get this fixed at a repair shop in my country. No shops seem to know anything about this over here, but are willing to fix, if i supply the parts.
Thanks
#better than factory 😃
👍👍👍👍👍😘😀
Great guy very informative, but I bet he wishes he had factory battery in that mic 😂😂😂
" Better then factory " 👍
Sticks of 6??? I only got 4 when mine came in... No worries, I will still order more cause it works great
Back in 2020 we used to sell them per stick and you ordered 2 sticks of 6.5" at $5 each. Now we sell them in sticks of 6 at 3.3" for $15 which really equals 3 long sticks if ordered in 2020.
@@NorthridgeFix Ahhh I see, I don't care if they are per stick... This stuff works amazing! I'm about to order more along with the wick. Got my tweezers (got all except for the blue one) and they are great as well. Thanks for the reply and thanks for the great videos
Can you do a video about what solder to use i see the solder in this vid is a bit dull good quality solder should shine what is your opinion
63/37 solder paste or you can get the wire
Mr perfect
On the Next video please, tell us all the tools and materials that you are commonly used for *soldering, desoldering and cleaning* please put the link from *Amazon* if available for us to buy(Cash on Delivery) From India Because *I'm beginner starting to do mobile Repairing*
When you say LOW MELT SOLDER, do you mean Chip Quik Alloy ? Cause this latter's melting point is as low as 50° C, not 100-160° C as mentioned in previous videos.
Ooh, I get it! Cheap wick means less braided wires, and less braided wires means less solder wicking capability. Am I right?
I use toilet paper to clean up boards, the best stuff for this job... cheap and efficient
Why not mark the position of port to desolder on the underside with a sharpie prior? You can erase the sharpie mark with alcohol afterwards.
You know Murphy's law? If you are trying to mark the position with the sharpie it's either you mark the wrong spot or the sharpie has run dry...
@@marcianzero_yt True hahaha.
I think he meant its the display port for the receiver lol. That is one expensive receiver but bet it sounds amazing great work.
Who need a mirror!? Ahhah support
Mic battery died
Alex : what can you do ?
Sono anni che dissaldo in questo modo, ha scoperto l'acqua calda
Making mistake is part of a human being. That's a fact sir. Hehe.
عم اتخبت حيطان عشان بطارية يا زلمة؟
What 9 isent enoth
You would go far in my field. Especially prosthodontics and endodontics. Attention to the smallest detail is paramount for the large detail prognosis which most overlook and cheap out on. Not you.
Solder wick is good but many times I have watched you tubers struggle to use it because they don't use any flux! No wonder they struggle even with good wicks! 🤣
Flux is everything for me. 🤣
thats a kvm board
it's actually the board that sits above the back half or so of the amplifier in an AV surround sound receiver.
That line "punched few walls in the process" got me to laugh so hard that my pee came out, I had to run to the bathroom 😂🚽🤣🏃♂️🏃♂️
And if you look to your left, ladies and gentlemen, you'll see a wild Alex in his natural habitat.
You gotta turn on subtitles and read. It gets messed up with low melt solder. Lol
RIP mic battery
Ladies... Do your makeup 😂😂😂

You must be so bored of having to explain in almost every video why you use low melt solder.
