I put the cheese on the bottom dough then the thawed meat balls, then sauce, and the bottom crust cooked better. The sauce on the crust makes it doughy. Great recipe 👍

This looks delicious Kristin, but did you know you can take an S.O.S. pad to your Pyrex or other glass baking dishes to get the baked on oils off? It'll take a bit of elbow grease but they'll come clean and look like new again. 😊
Baking Soda makes a great soft scrub. I use it with white vinegar, spread tge paste and let it sit 10 minutes. It will soften the hardened oil and make it easier to scrub off gunk. I use this on outside of my pots and pans to keep them clear of buildup.
😮 I use them in casseroles all the time. If you're concerned just put the whole bag in microwave for about 5 minutes. Poke a hole in the bag first. That's what I usually do. They are fully cooked just need to defrost. I've tried browning them first for the extra flavor but they tend to be overcooked then. 😮

Yeah. This was hard to watch. It's so easy to make all of this from scratch. Yeah you'll have a little more work, but it's going to taste so much better. Making dough, sauce, meatballs and shredding cheese doesn't take long at all.

Wow! Looks great! Technically, it's a stromboli because the sauce is already inside. That's according to my Italian friend. Either way, my mouth is watering! If it were me, I would add onions, and mushrooms. I like supreme style. That's me.
I made this and it was very good. Gets even better the day after and it's reheated. Just an fyi, it's a 2lb bag of meatballs. I made the mistake of buying too big of a bag and have some left over. I did add some seasoning salt, garlic powder, oregano and basil to kick the flavors up a bit.
I like the fact that everyone can add whatever you'd like and make it your own.

I am concerned about those frozen meatballs heating all the way through in the the time it takes the crust to brown.
They still taste great frozen ;)
