“I don’t have to be the next ye, I don’t have to be the next Wayne, I can be the first drake” tsss little did he know
Drake is a jabroni for abandoning the idea of making another So Far Gone mixtape!
Yeah little did he know how much he was going to be a laughing stock in this industry he is a f****** douche
@@therealmitchconnor4275 yeah and your the greatest we know genius coughs coughs
@@greekgold5071 "you're" a f****** genius 🖕🤬😂
@@therealmitchconnor4275 Yet bigger then you could ever try to be.
surprised this is so rare. but also not surprised because not many people care enough to dig deep and find these old videos. shoutout the people on this video rn
Too much free game to be out here not making progress
Prec8 it🙏
Man that 2008-2010 Drake before Take Care was some real special shit like it was amazing and I can’t believe I was a kid when Drake first came out like maybe 10 now 21 seeing Drake is mad crazy
Drake had mixtapes out before he blew up Room for Improvement and Comeback Season!
AY WE'RE THE SAME AGE
Calvin Payne 3 same i remember older people playing shit like so far gone and thank me later
I definitely feel you on that , I’m that same age and started listening to Drake around that time. Idc what ppl say ,he is One of the 🐐’s . I know every song man.
I like Old Drake , I like New Drake it’s all the same to me, he’ll forever be my favorites Artists ALL-TIME. “I Feel like I’m The Greatest of my Generation”
I was 16
He needs to rewatch this🥺🥺 this beef with other rappers is really saddening 😢
Miss this is a sport 😂
He really don’t be starting it tho lmaooo
So if a man is getting jumped;
He's a clown for fighting back?
He doesn't need to do anything except be a good father and beat these allegations. Even if he doesn't want to make music anymore. TF.
@@lesanececilwhy he gotta mess with Wayne girl though
@@christothecore3038he smashed before Wayne was even with her
He changed the game more than anybody and I know it
Alika him or Kanye...
Can’t get forget kanye...
Without Kanye he doesn’t even exist.......
Young thug and lil uzi vert really changed it
@@sbrooks904 without jay z kanye doesn't exist
This man didn't know it at the time but he was going to be one of the best in the game
the best in the game
@@johnwickkkkk1 He Knew.
That's the crazy thing.
He knew fasho
Nah he definitely did. "The game got these old hand prints on it, but Imma be the one to pour cement on it, and start over.."
Drake will forever be one of the greatest, he created a whole new genre of rap and led the way for many more to make more lyrical and sentimental rap music
drakes Weezy’s impression is hilarious
When he was describing the mind To mouth process that was crazy, he articulated that so well
Right!
Decade later and he's on top of music . Goat of music not just rap . He'll be remembered as the greatest artist of time . He still got many albums and years ahead of him 💀
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 NOT
Yepac Shakur So why are you here then??
HipHopNewz drake fans are like little girls! So I hate somebody cause I don’t agree with him being the greatest? When there’s ppl like Kendrick, Jayz and Kanye that are light years better in every way
Easily one of the greatest rappers of all time. But music? Top 10 easily just based on numbers and impact but goatV? Nah
Exactly what a Gen Z would say.
damn 2009 is when I first heard him.. What a time...
To be alive
That time is So Far Gone
I'll never forget the first time I heard him on Best I Ever Had on 95.7 Jamz in Birmingham, AL, way back in 2009. Where did all that time go...
first heard him in 2009-2010 on the song forever.. good times
I'm right there with you. Knew the game had just changed.
Woooow what an incredible journey. This man has been tru so much what a journey.
Now he’s the best in the game.
10 years later he is one of the biggest artists in the World
We can never connect the dots looking forward, only when we look back will it all make sense
This young man is going to be one of the best someday
Yes hopefully he raps the same and don’t change into a singer
wow, this was great. I love watching the "Before they were real famous" interviews like this one. He seems real humble here, just happy to be there. Drake before he became one of the all-time great rappers in the past 25 years.
drake always gives credit to where it’s due & it’s very evident he puts lots of value in loyalty. that’s why he’s one of the greatest fr
10:37 for those here in 2024
I heard some of Comeback
Season, I'm Ready For Ya/Still Fly in 2009ish? It was a burned CD in the car from a buddy. I turned to my mom and said this dude is going to be the biggest ever. She still remembers the moment to and I'm actually pretty proud of it.
This is the Drake I remember but I know people grow and change with time but again this is the Drake I remember and what made me a fan as a preteen/teenager.
Now he one of greatest ever and he still going strong
Drake haven't changed at all, and it's incredibly amazing.
he has changed so much wtf u mean
@@420speedweed how would you say he changed ?
It’s crazy, that “track with Ye and Wayne” he’s talking about is probably “Forever” 🔥
Happy to know I lived thru his success, what a journey
Deserves an oscar for acting like a rapper for 15 years!
In the role of a lifetime
Best actor of all time.
After seeing so many videos on my algorithm because of y’all, I come to the conclusion that this guy is the same guy. He’s never changed, but you believe what people tell you and I’ll do my research.✌🏾
Same nose 👃 here.
Ended up turning into the greatest musician of all time
Factsssss
Yessir🗣🗣
Legendary video right here timeless💯 The rest was history ✨
BB ELLLL DRIZZAAYYYY
Everytime he sits he will forever look like "Wheelchair Jimmy"
What he said about writing is so true
This was back when Drake was up upcoming at the time and he had his break out moment with so far gone I look at him now he is the biggest superstar in the world with a large number one hits lotta number one albums just everything is killing it is huge and of course his wind awards to show Drake is on top of his game probably the biggest hip-hop star out right now like he’s dominating the music industry Along with Arianna grande so yeah it’s great
Very happy for him and he’s still great but compared to his older albums you can tell he lost substance and love for the music at least like he used 2 but then again when your dominating the game for years I can see where it can get tiring and you lose ideas and that passion scary thing about being on top is you have no one to chase so you start to get complacent and therefore lower your quality and standards because you can but never the less he’s already a legend and one of the greatest artists ever imo love Him forever has some of the most timeless music 40s crazy with the production he was just destined to make it
agree with everything your sayin. He made it.
Absolutely I’m happy for Him and hopefully I wish him More success and more blessings in his life and in his career and he will never stop doing this until the day he dies
Thought this was Lonzo Ball
KJay they do favor.

Drake is the goat 🐐
Now everything he releases is a banger and releasing care package with some of his best shit days in the east vibes tonight
I love how you can hear him finding his voice in real time. He has a New York accent that he turns on and off.
I don’t hear a New York accent and I’m from New York
I honestly don’t hear an accent right here he just sounds like american suburban if anything
This interview is Gold a Gem 💎 😊
Artist of the decade
He literally always had the same voice. 😂😂😂

His smile is Everything😊
Acting is definately a passion of his
He's actually super chill. Met him a few times. Interesting dude, even outside of music.

8:38 - Damn, doesn’t get more 2009 than a Blackberry 😆😎✌️
Was just in my freshman year of college when Drake made his mark. Crazy how time flys.
Remember this guy in my class saying “Yooo, we finally got one. Drizzy Drake Rogers is officially signed eh”, lol.
It was a big win for us Canadians 🇨🇦 at the time.
The 2010s was finally the decade we got recognized globally.
I hope this decade brings much more success ✌🏾
Aubrey Drake Graham very inspirational You can’t deny his talent you can’t remove his success .It’s sad people don’t like him because of what they hear and not what they know🦉💜
So humble it is crazy
GOAT! He mastered expressing what he thinks in his raps clearly
What a time 🙌🏽
His first mixtape was ‘room for improvement’ then ‘comeback season’ then ‘so far gone’
I enjoyed this interview.
I watch this, then the 2019 Christmas interview with Rap Radar just to see the process, the growth over a decade. 👏🏾👏🏾
I listen to Drake 24/7
Perfect interview young Drake because old Drake is EVERYTHING you projected in this clip. Go ahead young Nostradamus.
That kid is gonna make it some day.
Damn this was a good interview
My goal is to keep it timeless' you did that Drake!! You're a 🐐 now

This guy will really make it one day. I like his humility. Someone should tag this fellow from T Dot ya know.
Drake rocking a Ralph hoodie
Jenny my thoughts exactly actually I’m watching him and I thought look at him from RL to Saint Laurent
ralph lauren is swag, if i was rich i'd still rock polo
Shut up my god you just another whiny negative Nancy if that what people can afford that’s what they can afford don’t talk down on them and no one has time to find the next supreme early on these are regular folks your talking to
@HipHopNewz everyone entitled to an opinion, but urs is wrong lmao
This is when he was dating sza 😂
Salute.

This was 15 years ago, MTV interviews don't really hold weight no more.
6:42 lol
Well said mind to mouth😊
Drake got the best Wayne impression ever.
I was 10 when Drake came out, now I'm 21 and my did time fly
GOAT
I miss this time back when music was alive. Drake was cool back then he still has it here and their but back in the day he put out so much great music.
Rappers act when they enter into their mental space while rapping. As well as Drake . When will Drake be in a movie though. I miss the acting in him
Most prophetic line was "maybe I can be the next Drake." Yup you found your lane bruh, Salute 🫡
Drake was starving here like it or not this drake is a legend and there will never be another rapper like drake
Facts
Gotta respect Drake, Free thinker💡
Damn crazy how far bruh came, like him or not,he has to be in the convo of TBE if you go off of longevity and consistency dudes Dominant.
One day this man is going to be the best rapper on the planet
6:03 Legendary… man Called it
"Wireless Internet". What a time
I pray one day I can meet him and have a song with it him 🙏🏽
These old interviews just shows he’s completely lost touch with reality and his roots😒 lost his humbleness and awareness as well! Back then he owned his insecurities and rapped about relatable struggles and even when he was getting rich he was still relatable. Now he’s about his "gangster" image when he knows he’s never been about that life!
The music industry forces artists to become gangsters or prey with business handling. That's why he said Taylor is one of the biggest ones.
Drake chose to not become food.
@@Edgesofnowhere008 yeah but you can be gangster when it comes to business and really being strategic in the industry rather than actually starting to rap like you’re a gangster in the street who will pay money to get you killed and has mob ties🤷♂️ that’s the difference between him and Taylor. Taylor didn’t start as a sex symbol scandalous type of girl and Drake didn’t start as a gangster but only one of the two ended up changing their image to something they never were in the first place. Wayne told him to rap about girls and keep it Canadian which is what he’s good at and he switched up like Wayne told him not to. The content and subject matter changed when he dropped Scorpion and since that’s album he has rapped like he’s tough and has mob ties which he does have connections but he wasn’t that guy growing up or when he started rapping. And every album since Scorpion has only gotten worse and the subject matter is a big part of why.
Drake in 2024 is still one of the most sensitive and open rappers. Do you even listen to his music? And he still talks like this in his interviews. He’s a bit more cocky but that comes with being a billionaire #1 hip hop artist
He needs to stop drinking though
@@splickaisreal5629 I do listen to his music, every album actually. Been a big fan since 2011 when I was in high school. He is not nearly as open, honest and sensitive as he was back then when he was younger. When in recent years has he put out a song as open and reflective as songs like You and The 6, Too Much, From Time, Redemption, The Resistance, Fear, Fireworks, The Calm, Look What You’ve Done, The Ride, Is There More, Weston Road Flows, Lose You? He has not put one song out since 2018 that are as sensitive, reflective, open and honest as those songs. I mean does he have songs talking vaguely about girls recently? Yeah, but not anything by on the level of openness as those songs I just named. And he hasn’t done a real interview since the end of 2019 or 2020 with Rap Radar lol. There’s a big difference between 2024 “mafia boss” Drake and the Drake between 2009-2018🤷♂️
@@splickaisreal5629 been a huge fan since 2011 when I was in high school and have listened to every album he’s ever put out so name one song as sensitive, open, honest or vulnerable as songs like The Calm, Fear, The Resistance, Fireworks, Look What You’ve Done, The Ride, Too Much, From Time, You and The 6, Redemption, U With Me?, Keep The Family Close, Lose You, Is There More? That’s just off the top of my head. No song since 2018 have been as reflective, open, honest and sensitive as those right there where he’s reflecting on his life and things that maybe he’s done wrong. That’s what made Drake, Drake. Now days whenever he raps it’s always the girls fault, he’s a tough guy who will get Chubbs to shoot you and it’s everyone else’s fault when things go wrong and everyone’s is against him. This is proven by the whole “20 V 1” victim mentality during this beef when people started going at him but he never once stopped to think that maybe he been an asshole and cheating with those dude’s girls or maybe there’s another reason that they’re mad. There’s no reflection or accountability in his new music or just him in general🤷♂️
i haven't liked a drake song for a really long time. but no doubt he's the goat when talking about artists
Where his so called accent just had to run it back he talk weird asf now fam lol 😂
He really ran the next decade of music after this point. And he was pretty popular in the ‘00s when he hit scene.
Not 00s you mean ‘10s… Get it right 🙄
