World Peace Bell in Newport, Kentucky

This bell chimes noon every day, and swings occasionally. I wouldn't be surprised if it chimes midnight on New Years, though, because that was when it first chimed ever (January 1, 2000, at 00:00).
This is the largest bell in the United States (and the occident). The rest of the interesting information is at the beginning of the video (size and other facts).
The "V" on the striker stands for "Verdin", the American casters of the bell (Paccard also helped cast the bell).

Du hast beinahe Recht, denn das d° ist der hier sehr dominante Quartnebenschlagton. Ihr eigentlicher Schlagton ist A. Große Glocken haben eben den störenden Quartschlagton, der den Schlagton häufig fast verdrängt. Wenn du dann auf den Unterton achtest, hörst du später auch den wahren Schlagton.
