She seemed like such a down to earth person and was so beautiful. She and Al had such a wonderful relationship. I read their story recently and it really broke my heart how she died so tragically. I remember seeing coverage of her death when I was 13 with my mom. I had never heard of her then but my mom told me a little about her. It didn't leave much of an impression then (enough that I remembered it after all these years) but at 13 I didn't think someone who was 38 was that young. Now at 35 after re-discovering her again recently on an old episode of "227" I looked her up and was very saddened to see she died so suddenly leaving behind such a loving husband and 7 year old daughter.
And it was so beautiful how her beautiful mom had a family talk every week. She would ask every child how was their week. That is soooo touching. I wish we would have done that in my family growing up!

Our CIF championships was like the Western Conference championships in basketball. I miss my friend and I will always miss.
