He was very selfishly cocky I saw and felt it.. although understandable part of the sport
I remember watching this live on TV. I couldn’t believe it! Tremendous performance.
Am BACK 4 years later !! B. Johnson should had been disqualified. He is a loser. Couldnt grasp a DEFEAT LOL
1) Yes, she was roided up, but Krabbe had dudes.....! 2) Yes, OJ was a great track and field commentator....!
Still at it
Great race Mark..!! To God be the glory
😮 Jamaican always claim 🎉

Congratulations to the Nigerian team, my home country! Congratulations to Gwen Torrence, my second all time favourite female sprinter, after Evelyn? And finally, congratulations to the Great Evelyn Ashford!
Do you have the 800m NCAA Mens 1989 Outdoor Championship ?
At what point in the race did Michael Johnson feel the injury ... exactly at the same point he felt a hit to his pride.
Lo mejor es hacerse el lesionado si ves que no vas a llegar primero…
Didn't Edwards and Williams drop the baton in the 100 relay at the Olympics? Disqualified?
Lewis, Mitchell and Montgomery would later test positive for illegal drugs.
There are some Olympic records which will most likely never be eclipsed. Al Oerter's 4 Golds in 4 successive Olympics. Emil Zatopek's 3 Golds in the Helsinki games where he is the ONLY athlete EVER to have won the 5000, 10000, and the Marathon; which he entered at the last moment, NEVER trained for, and beat the top Marathoners in the world for the Gold.
pretty good
As my dad told me when I was a little kid, The 400 is the USA's event.
We miss you pre
Maybe the most beautiful runner I've ever seen! Thin, strong legs just lifting ridiculously high and out.
Way to go! That’s my friend
Was it Allen's choice to run in the long relay or did something happen to warrant his inclusion?
🎉
On top of how great they were from the social/political point of view, running 19.78 in 1968 is insane. 19.78, while slowing down to celebrate, 55 years ago.
He was my hero. Watched everything he did. One of my bucket lists things to go to Hayward Field. Missed that, but maybe I can make it to the new one!
Jim Muchmore do you have any footage of UCLA making history for running a SUB 3:00 in the 4x4 in '88
Great race Why did she act like she didn't want to be interviewed.
4:19 Mizuno was and STILL a great product in racewear! 🐦
wow
yesssss!!!!
what I could never understand was why Gray didn't move up to the 1,500 after Seoul ...
He did run 3:42 at Modesto in 1990. czcams.com/video/8-CEOTldua4/video.htmlsi=uG66FresfVsKB1Gr
Carl 4 gold medals only jessie owens did it 1936.carl is the best
Privalova's anchor leg was so crappy. Even freaking Pauline Davis had a faster leg, LOL! No idea what was wrong with her at these Games but she was awful when usually she is running up with Ottey, Torrence, Devers (in the 100), and Perec (in the 200).
Sickness
Lewis penultimate step entry and take-off step touchdown phase vertical alignment are ideal on many of the jumps in this contest.
Such an articulate lady. I wish we could have seen more of her through the 90’s.
The Chinese were doping every athlete they had on on the books. This was confirmed by their national coach when he defected to the West. He said kids a young as 11 years old where being given performance enhancing drugs. It was disgraceful.
He has such a great smile. 😊
All the Chinese were done for taking performance enhancing drugs. Kids as young as 11 were being force fed them. They couldn't compete legally so they decided to compete illegally. Their own national coach admitted it later. They all should have been stripped of their medals.
U.S. so called black athletes are destroyed by lack of knowledge. The U.S. flag was established in 1776, they were in Slavery in 1776, they're worshipping their enemies' flag like it theirs, it's not their flag but the flag of their enemies, they learned the lies that flag represents losing their heritage not knowing who they are or where they come from. Everything they need they have to get it from their enemy, they're still in captivity
Lewis actually ran a very impressive race, considering his age and his injury struggles of 1995. He was "only" 0.32 seconds slower than Johnson. To put that into perspective. Losing to Jonson by 0.32 seconds would have won him silver at the world chanpionchips a few months later. Interestingly this race does not show up on the official IAAF homepage.
I'm Ben Johnson brother. Lewis was dirty.😅
North African Amazigh legend ♓🔥👏
Running against yourself.
Mike Marsh look like Quark off Deep Space Nine.....
