    If Cerberus had learned their lesson in ME1(don't try and subjugate and control anything), and learned from Shepard in ME2 that things work better when you're not 100 percent in control and there's value in cooperating, Sheperd and Cerberus could've had the crucible ready in secret long before the reapers arrived.
    And after they fired the crucible, Cerberus would be the only military force capable of restoring the mass relays and they could practically take over and rule the galaxy overnight by saving it. And if the Illusive man was really smart, different races and different governments would still be around but only as puppets and everyone would know who saved them and who was really in charge. While not the most moral or ideal situation, Cerberus and the Illusive man really missed out on a very good opportunity to become the most powerful and influential force in the galaxy.
    While I wasn't a fan of Cerberus because they were responsible for Akuze and many other atrocities toward humanity and other races. However the other races and governments blatantly denied a threat that would destroy their people, and in doing so they broke their oath to protect and serve the galaxy and now it was time for a change if we all were to survive. So if Cerberus had the balls, guts, and grit to do what needs to be done to survive, and if they kept their word for being a sword and shield for humanity, I would gladly turn a blind eye for their crimes. At least we would have stability and security.

    I think the Illusive Man not only brought Shepard back from the dead so Commander could hand him over a Collector Base, but also to accupy Reapers when they would finally come, while leaving Cerberus undisturbed towards their final goal - a way of controlling the Reapers. However TIM knows Shepard must be kept on line in case Commander had too many victories - and krogan-turian alliance would be a huge disadvantage towards Reapers; or Commander was closer to destroying the Reapers, which was never TIM's intention.

    Cerberus had so much potential for ME3. They could have been the anti heroes, maybe even helping you at some points. What did they do instead? Attacked the Citadel. Attacked Sur'Kesh. Tuchanka, Grissom Academy, Mars. Bioware took the heroes of ME2 and turned them into Space Hitler. I honestly felt bad about going up against Cerberus in ME3. I liked them in 2. I gave them the Collector Base, the covert operative intel, all that. Then they repay me by attacking the Citadel and for what? Giving humans one up over everyone else? Come on guys. Cerberus was actually believable in ME2 and I often side almost completely with them. The only ones doing anything about the Collectors while the Alliance stood on the sidelines. Don't know if someone has come with something like this before, and i am on a Saturday day off :). After reading some posts here, i was just thinking of an ending, a happy one, where the Illusive man could be standing at the same place as the Catalysis, after killing Anderson, tryning to convince Shep to take his path to control the Reapears, meanwhile the Catalysis doing the same for the Sinthesys, and if you have a really high MS, but based mostly on what you did on ME and ME2, you could convince TIM back that he was wrong, make him remember that he and Cerberus were fighting for the humanity survival since the begining and not to control the Reapers, making him to send his remaining Cerberus troops, as kamikazes to help agains the reapers and also, convince him to use the destroy option, giving Shep time to be saved by Jocker at the very last moment. What do you guys think???. i brought it up this because i still think the way they kill off TIM was just a nonsense failure from Bio, so the way they made Cerberus as the main Villain of the final chapther, instead Habinger. Very sad move...

      @brainconqueror8095 Před 8 lety +2

      No, the existing scene where TIM intercepts Anderson right after exiting the beam works well with the tone of the game. This game's theme was that a victory isn't possible without a great deal of sacrifice. And sacrificing Anderson to take TIM out was the penultimate price Shepard had to pay. Even the ending choices were about what you were willing to sacrifice. Destroy - sacrifice all synthetics. Control - sacrifice corporeality and possibly everybody's freedom. Synthesis - sacrifice the variability and diversity of life for homogenization.

    If it was this good created in the game.
    The way they created the combats in ME1 was just cheesy, it was ridiculous even for the time in 2008. The way they made the combats in ME2 was just awesome, it's the reason why ME2 is probably the best game ever made. But it's such a dissapointment in ME3.
    You saw ME3 wasn't as good as ME2 even by looking at the cover, too much blue, too cold, whilst ME2 was more orange, way way wormer and more appealing in every way. But nobody would have thought it's so lame and obviously unfinished. I hated fightings in ME3 mostly, for it's so frustrating and stupid. The most annoying thing was when soldiers always throw granates in your cover (they did that in ME2 also, but it were glare granades, and it wasn't this much).

      Grenades are a good thing. Without em, you could cover camp forever
