- I found this online dollar store called ShopMissA that sells all their makeup products for $1 and decided I had to try it out! So I replaced my entire everyday makeup routine with $1 makeup products, including foundation, concealer, eye primer, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, bronzer, contour, face powder, and lipstick. What do you think? Would you try this?

Ok so at 3:16 Safiya talks about the foundation comments. While working on a homework assignment, I see 'Brenda Rose', and my eyes go wide. That is my mom's name and it put me through a state of shock. I then read the review and realize it sounds like what my mom would say. I decided to go check so I wouldn't make a fool of myself and my mom started laughing, confirming she made the comment. I didn't start watching Safiya's videos till 2019 but this was pure gold now that she's one of my favorite CZcamsrs.

4 years later Miss A is literally the best thing ever. Their line of products (AOA studio) are really consistently good. Some of my favorite everyday products are from Miss A (including my setting powder). I'll be wearing a face that includes more expensive products and Miss A stuff and more often than not I'll get compliments on the Miss A products specifically. My lashes are always from Miss A. I live and die by one of their primers. I actually reach for my Miss A foundation over my expensive foundation all the time. Money doesn't always equate quality.

My tip for Miss A is to only buy things branded AOA, everything else is a little…eh. But most of the AOA things are great! You should try the beauty blenders, brushes, and LASHES (I love the lashes). :) They also have physical stores now! Miss A has expanded a lot since this video.

Most Korean makeup is pretty great! Also Etude House seems pretty hypoallergenic if you have skin sensitivities--I have and I've never had a problem with their makeup.

Shop Miss A actually has some quality brushes! I purchased 3 sets of 10 brushes (30 total) and they are still in great condition! I clean them religiously (acne and stuff) and they’ve held up very nice! They do smell when you first receive them but the smell is mostly the packaging
i know this video is several years old and so many people in the comments have already said it, but it would definitely be fun if saf did something like this again with their updated options. and also buy a bunch of lipsticks. as a treat.

I have one of these stores at my local mall and it is honestly so much easier to gauge how good something will be. My favorite things are their hand lotion, cuticle oil, and highlighters. I use their little eyeshadow single compacts for highlighter. Very nice for the price :)

Erika Mayén, yes, it arrived the day after that comment! I’ve only tried the light pink sponge so far and it worked OK, was very dense, and it seemed to soak up quite a bit of my foundation. Right now I just use it for one of my skin care products. I really like the light purple “precision beauty” sponge that’s at Wal-Mart though! -Has been my new fav!
The brushes at Miss A are nice. I bought a 12 piece set for $10. that to me is a major win. And if you need extra brushes they are only $1!!! The liquid lip products are nice.. I even ventured off and tried the metallic lip and was pleasantly surprised. Never used the complexion products because I'm a chocolate girl and didn't Like the color secretion. Btw I went to their store not the website. The bath bombs are bomb!

i did not pay shipping. there is a Miss A store about an hour from me and i was at the mall so i stopped in to check them out. the products are nice for the price. i only purchased the liquid lip sticks in matte and metallic (including this bomb gold metallic color that i love). i also bought a variety of brushes including a 12 piece brush set for $10 (the set i bought had a large fan brush in it and i was super excited about it because i saw a similar brush at Sephora for over $20!!)The makeup sponges(Beauty Blender knock off) are my absolute fave. i have the largest or 2nd to largest sponges and i use them DAILY. i also like the HD Eyeshadow brush its angled and works great at building intensity. i also grabbed some black liquid eyeliner which is nice (not a big liquid eyeliner fan but i gave it a try it was only a buck) and a lip liner which isnt bad reminds me of the SmachBox liner that i love. if you decide to order from them the brushes are worth it, bath bombs are BOMB but i would avoid the complexion products if you are a chocolate girl because the color choices are slim to none. hope this helps and answers some questions
