I bought a unit about a month ago and was super excited because it had a bunch of shelves in it I really could have used. I had to work that day though, I only work one day a week. Got my money was on my way and the facility calls me to say they canceled it. The original owners went online and paid there bill. I was so bummed and really wished I hadn't gone to work.

Coinstar should be called CONStar. I have a friend who has those machines in most places since 1997. The machine does not kick back all the "UN-modern " and non-current coins. They are thrilled at the "strange" coins and have made decent money from some coins too. I personally don't think they give back the actually amount. I met my friend because I had known we had put in 42,100 pennies and got back less than $390, hahaha and yes I made him pay me the difference hahaha . Most banks have a coin machine and they will count the coins for free. Most Banks will count them right now for free if you don't have an account with them because of the "coin shortage" (cough BS cough cough BS). Think of using a Coinstar like giving every person who spends $10 at the garage sale, you give them a Susan B just for buying from your Garage sale. You worked hard for all those coins, and I mean really hard. Think about this... who gives you a $5 gift card for nothing? I figured you would be the first one to catch on to that because you are so smart about things.

Coin star machine kicks silver coins out. I find them a lot in the bottom so always check when you walk by one. I even found a 1 cent coin from 1848.
I am assuming that you are pulling out all of the old US coins that are 90% silver, correct? 1964 and older Quarters, Dimes and Half Dollars are 90% silver, and worth about 16 times their face value right now (so, a dime is actually worth $1.60 in silver). 1965-1970 half dollars are 40% silver. The coin star would spit them out, but you may want to pre-sort just in case.

That one unit that was up above $1k looked like it had a dust cloth on top of a spray can in front of the jewelry box & not much dust on the furniture but I'm looking at smaller pictures through a 15 inch laptop screen.

Jebus if you didn't already know AR you haven't figured out yet that men's and women both buy those trophies to create separate lives for telling people when they have their own place that way they can bring someone home and tell him about someone who does not exist and get away with it because they are were seeing them once or maybe twice. And also they could be replacing childhood memories it got thrown away or broken for one reason or another. And I once worked in a trophy and Engraving shop that used to buy them from people for real cheap turn around and sell them for brand new making three times to four times what they would of one they had to produce themselves and usually all they had to do was painted and Polished which took three minutes out of an employee's time okay maybe 10 minutes but not long.
