Broken Window Wiper Motor Repair Fix Tutorial

In this video I show how to easily repair a intermittent freezing wiper motor for a Audi TT on budget. This is a very common issue on older vehicles (VW Audi Skoda & Seat) that have been sitting for a while. The problem is usually caused by and corrosion the electrical contacts, causing short circuits. The video shows a step by step procedure to curing this problem.

Something I like to do on those wiper mechanisms, is to pull them further apart and grease those pegs, where you put the copper slip on. Take it apart, clean it, maybe give it a little scotch brite and then put it back together with a generous helping of grease(don´t put copper slip or ceramic grease in there, that will seize up over time). Your Wipers will go quite a lot faster and there will be less strain on the motor.

Работа сделана на 50%. Почистили электрическую часть, но ничего не сделали с механической частью трапеции. Электрические контакты подгорели из-за повышенной нагрузки на трение в трапеции. Ржавчина снаружи на трапеции диагноз, что ещё вал и втулка тоже заржавели и там повышенное трение и двигателю тяжело прокрутить трапецию. Водитель не убирал листья, грязь на пластмассовой защите возле валов дворников, поэтому сырость и влага и она попала на трапецию снаружи и на валы внутри механизма. На эти валы крепятся поводки дворников. Отсоедините электродвигатель от трапеции, пометьте метки маркером предварительно, чтобы потом собрать все правильно и попробуйте вручную прокрутить трапецию. Она должна крутиться легко, в противном случае разбирается механическая часть, смазывается. Там стоит уплотнительная резинка на валу, она пропускает воду и вал начинает ржаветь. Надо разбирать все чистить, смазывать и ставить резиновое кольцо новое. А так это не надолго, скоро контакты снова сгорят. Плюс контакты чистить надо резинкой, ластиком канцелярским или надфилем, а не наждачной бумагой, они сгорят очень быстро.
