    Hello Brother , At first you tried to rotate the shaft , but actually the rotation was mainly stopped by the motor , because the mechanism used their can transfer the rotary motion in one direction only that is from motor to the wiper main shaft, motor cant be rotated by rotating the wiper arm . The rust may stop the motion but rust cant apply that much of resisting torqe that you applied to rotate it in your first attempt.

    Very interesting. I had to do the same with a Citroen Zsara Picasso here in the UK. I think these wiper mechanisms are built to fail. The seal on the wiper arm is poor. On Citroen and Renault water seeps past the seal and stops the wiper parking switch from functioning correctly. Consequently the wiper just parks anywhere on the rear screen. Not
    Only that, the wiper activates when unlocking the car. I love french electrics 🤣🤣 What did with mine is wrap a small amount of insulation tape around the spindle directly below the wiper arm to try to stop water and dirt/salt getting into the motor housing. I have a new motor unit to fit when this one fails completely.

      I've done repair to sealed rear wiper motor for Synergie / Evasion / ulysses / 806 - all have integrated washing fluid pump . you have to destroy nits but don't warry wiper motor is mounted to back hatch with metal plate it cover motors and keep shaft and cover on place . The problem is in rusting shaft of wiper. To make it good you have to sand it with paper of 1200 and then 2000 then heavly lubricate it with good hydrofobic greas / lubricant that is also tempemerature protected ( works in wide temperatures without loosing consistance ). Most problems are with wiper motors integrated with washing fluid pump it keeps getting in to shaft - most important is maitenance - every time you hange wipers blades you have to rememeber to lubricate shaft it the place it gets through cover of mechanism.

    helped me a lot for disassembling mine, thanks! now I have cleaned everything - just wondering which grease to use for the gears & shaft?

    • @InsideOutElectronics
      @InsideOutElectronics  Před rokem +1

      Happy it was useful ! Please use non-Lithium grease as it can seize again. PTFE or Silicone based will work

    Друг, просто у тебя машина не обслуживалась, вот он и закис))). И я бы не рекомендовал использовать смазки на основе лития в присутствии воды.The shaft is made out of steel but the gear reduction housing is made out of aluminium, so it will corrode over time again and will gonna stuck. Можно нацепить манжету из сальника)

    • @InsideOutElectronics
      @InsideOutElectronics  Před 2 lety

      Да я уже в курсе о литиевой смазке, но разбирать уже не буду, если закиснет тогда буду думать. Манжета на месте всегда бьіла, все равно затекло и закисло. Спасибо а совет

    I have a problem. I cleaned that part u cleaned because it was ceased and rusted. However it didn't turn. On further inspection, the motor which has a threaded bar only turns so far anti clockwise. Should this motor be able to turn in one direction continuously? Or should it only turn the platic cog a little bit

    • @InsideOutElectronics
      @InsideOutElectronics  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes the motor should turn one direction, the mechanics will turn this into back and forth motion

    I have powered the motor, shaft rotates, but when I switch ON the wiper in my car, it does not start wiping. I check if I have 12 V coming to the motor from the car, and the answer is yes. Maybe you know where could be the problem?

    How did you end up getting the shaft that was stuck out? I’m dealing with the same problem you are and can’t hammer mine out. Thanks in advance!

    • @InsideOutElectronics
      @InsideOutElectronics  Před 3 lety

      I was using lock jaw pliers, rotarting and hammering it out. Also i used PBblaster to chemically loosen the rust.

      @jonathanmcauliffe784 Před 3 lety +1

      Inside Out Electronics I don’t have a PB blaster and rotating it didn’t work. I was using a ton of WD40 and a hammer to try to knock it out but the metal casing cracked and broke before the shaft came out. Ended up buying a new part

    Dude you skipped the most important part, you didn't show us how you hammered the shaft out, was there any sealing to remove before hammering, did you have to remove the gear first and then hammer it out? you skipped the most important part and how you put it back too, for that reason your video is worthless sorry

    • @InsideOutElectronics
      @InsideOutElectronics  Před 8 měsíci

      Thank you for watching! Yeah...it was messy Ive used P-Blaster, while protruding end of the shaft was locked in vise I was rotating the whole assembly to force it moving. Than when it started moving I release the vise and hammered it out :D
