Thank you for uploading this tutorial.
Carried out this repair today, and was 100% successful.
Probably saved myself hundreds of pounds by doing it myself.
Once again.....a Big thank you 👍
Did it myself, saved a few hundred dollars. thanks for the video
Many years after you placed this video - I used it today to solve my problem with wipers slow on Dodge Caravan.
Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to make and upload this video - it gave me the confidence to pull my entire wiper assembly out and do what you did, except I used a blowtorch on the bearing to get the shaft out. The problem was exactly the same though. Cleaned it up, packed it with grease and now it is like new. Thank you!
Easy as 1, 2, 3...Thank you for this extremely detailed video.
I was super skeptical of the file, but it worked like a charm! Got my rear wiper off and cleaned with with only an airbag, mallet, adjustable wrench, file, grease, and a porch step! Thanks for the hacks; I don't have many tools with me!
Just finished servicing my car thanks to this video. Very useful and informative info, subbed.
I tried this but my VW Golf looked totally different! So I set fire to it!
damn that sound really angry😂
Thanks for this video... Simple. Detailed. Solves the problem. That's it. Thank you.
Thank you! Helped me fix the wipers on my moms car. And saved her some money.
Fantastic run-through! Helped save me from buying another wiper linkage. Rather tricky without a vice, but once the pin was was out, it was a breeze to fix and reassemble.
loosen the battery clamp because a bolt can fall into the computer box and grease on the axle and if it is very tight (that's how I did it) drill a hole in the side of the aluminum to get to the axles.
This guy needs to do little league baseball commentary... great voice, understanding, knowledgable. Thanks.
Nice job on fixing..JB weld ,quick steel ..ext...all this stuff will work fine - getting to understand how to fix it with little to no money spend is GENIUS. GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey buddy!
I fixed my car's wipers yesterday.. Thanks to you for sharing your valuable knowledge. 🙂
OO I love you 3 Brennan Rd of junkie
Omg...my wipers did that and it drove me crazy!! Thanks!
Great How To Fix! Thanks. I was assuming it was my motor and you saved me from buying a new one and still having the problem.
Thanks for your video. My VW Golf wiper mechanism seized and the assembled geometry of components were very difficult to remove in that state. It's tricky enough navigating the assembly out of it's space under the windscreen when you have the option to position the linkage to it's flattest state but it was a real puzzle pulling it out with the link arms set at 90 degrees. Once out, it took lots of heat and penetrating oil before I could disassemble the drive shafts from the phosphor bearings. One was easy but the other well and truly not wanting to move. Cleaned and put back together, it all articulated freely now with putting it back into position easier than removal. One heads up I learned - close the bonnet before testing wipers because the Golf has an inhibitor switch that prevents the wipers working with the lid open 🤣🤣. I spent ages testing fuses before cottoning on 😎😎
I want to see more videos from this guy!!
Great video, thorough explanation and relaxing voice! This problem just pccured on my 2013 Golf TDI with 253k km: wil service the system tomorrow for Lord willing!
Dude! Seriously? That is a lot of work. 😵💫 Thanks for the vid.
Thank you so much. I was wondering why my wiper was going so slow and very juddery sometime. This completely solved my issue☺️
Recently had same issue with my Audi haha on a motorway in a rainy day … was a nightmare not a day . But when I got home managed to take apart and now works like new !
Lots of really good info. Thanks for the education, very well explained.
Thank you very much for this informative video. Excellent tips, great audio quality, and great video quality. Deeply appreciate it. Keep up. I gave you a thumbsup....
Finally, a good video on this topic..
Unlike the other video talking about this topic like 3 year old kid speaking english. Well done
Really liked your commentary! Great video. Lubrication is everything right
You are wonderful, thanks a lot. Greetings from Costa Rica buddy!!
Thank you appreciate the easy video, my problem was the linkage both pins where severely seized, so I soaked the whole unit over a few days in penetrator, cleaned up with a wire brush, applied a little heat and wiggled it till the pins popped right off, flushed out the gunk, sanded the pin, lubed and good as new.
Very useful. Thank you. You’re message, just take your time, makes the difference.
Cheers for the vid. I have no tools for that so good to know what the mechanic has to do so I don’t get overcharged for it...
That was a very good tutorial!!!
Explained extremely well👍👍
That was exactly what I wanted to know. 🙏 Thanks
Great video mate.
I tried out your method on my Toyota Landcruiser ang it worked perfectly!!👌
Great tutorial. Works for B7 A4 :)
good work man, plus muuuch patients. Thanks it made my day.
Good video easy to follow many thanks 👍🏼
my B5 is having this problem and i was looking any video in general that can help. Glad i found this thats for a B6/7. its still the same as a B5
Thanks! I solved my problem with your help.
Thanks a lot, you saved me a time. Big like .
Thank you. Very useful video.
Even if you just gain access to the joints to spray them down, it'll probably do some good. The blades and the plastic portion are easy to remove. I added some lubricant to the joints, cycled the wipers for 10 seconds and the wipers have regained full speed.
great video, great explanation, great English, and great manual skills / loved the video (y)
Awesome very instructional a very educational thank you.
Nice tutorial such a gentle man thx man 😃
Very useful video! After watching this video, I decided not to do it myself at home. But I knew what's going on and when the mechanic talked about how to fix and how much it would cost I knew if he was honest and if the price was fair. this video really helped.
Great diy fix it for good instructions..Thank you boss
Had this problem, seized solid, didn't have to strip it apart put in vice plenty wd40 and work it back and forth until free. Good video, thanks
Great video!!!
WD40 where water and debris seeps down into mechanism, then Blaster silicone spray to add more permanent lubrication.. Doing this over span of a few days and it will work its way down into stuck or corroded mechanism.. then works like new. Don't have to disassemble anything.
Soooo cool thanks this helped me alot👍👍👍
I thought u quit making video good to see u back
👍 thanks for the comment, appreciate it.
Good job explaining, but you should use a liquid like "Blasters" to free up the mechanism, not oil, as oil has no additive that can break free that sized up pivotal joint. Could possibly even get something like "P.B. Blaster" or other brand (ask parts store manager). Might save lots of labor. You either maintain it or you will replace it! LUBRICATE!
TƏŞƏKKÜR EDİRƏM....ÇOX GÖZƏL DƏRS ALDIM SİZDƏN. AZƏRBAYCANDAN SALAMLAR OLSUN...🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿👍
Maan you are the KING! The way you walked me through was awesome. Like a kid holding me holding me dads finger. Without removing the computer it was like great. Now the only problem is how to work on the frozen spindle without a vise? 😅That's asking too much? Well I got to try for I have no vise.
Had the same issue. I placed the mechanism on a heavy bench and G-clamped it to the top surface. I clamped mole grips onto the lever to get more leverage. I had to use a blowtorch to ease the bearing up. Worked a treat.
Thank you for the tutorial :)
Awesome video. Earned a subscriber
thx. master :) it was very useful .
cool, I will give it a shot
Thank you!
Good job
This is good to know thanks
Awesome video, I liked the JB Weld fix! That's knowledge that can translate to other wiper mechanisms. Thanks bro' !
"Be carefull, you don't wanna break a...") Hahahahahahaha! Good stuff
Thank YOU!🥳
good job!
replaced my wiper assembly today but the wipers were seized in the up position and it took me a while to realize i needed to reconnect the wipers and push them back down so i could get the damn thing outta there. very important info if ur doing this.
Great video thanks.
Hey, just asking..but was your Grandpa the tannoy-guy in 'Grand Central Station' whose job it was to say..
"All aboard!"
Respect to you Sir, either way you inherited a fab voice.
So cool, thanks agin
😎👌
excellent vid.. ty
Great video
thank you for this video i fix it in my car it’s the same problem
Thanks
Well Done
It may be a old video but I must say tank you
Hello, Thanks for making this video. I think my wipers may have the same problem. I will try to clean them up as well.
Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Nice slow voice over. Gives you time to think!
Great video.
👍 glad you enjoyed it.

Great video, partner! You’re the man! That good ole’ fashion know how! Thanks a million!
Why aren’t there more channels like this
👍
same junk on E-class Benz... they even made sure to feed the driver side shaft directly with plenty of rain water from the collector.
The lack of any water seal around the shaft ensure the cheap lubricant can evaporate prematurely in direct sunlight and get replaced by metallic corrosion.
Of course $2 ball bearings would make this mechanism last forever.
What is amazing to me is how cheap Japanese car have perfect wipers but on Benz, Audi etc... everything gets sick so fast : nut of my driver arm was loose causing extra-jerky wipers: recommend using thread locker!
Over engineered systems for high maintenance followed by premature failure... sweet !
👍🏻
Try quick steel... dries in minutes and you can sand, tap, drill etc. I love it... just a suggestion
Mine were so stuck that not even hitting it with a hammer with full force worked, ended up breaking at the same spot and will probably just replace them...bummer. Thanks for the video anyway
Good
Need to buy a ball joint seperator (pickling fork) what size should I get?
Great
Thanks for the video, you saved me some money but when I put the motor and mechanism back, the wiper arms are not aligned how do I get it to stop where it should?
For my car I plugged in the wiper motor only, set it to wipers up all the way. Unplug the motor and connected the linkage. Had to move the linkage to fit it in the car. Then pull the arms up all the way. Then plug in the motor. Hope you figure it out.
Nice video, only you forgot to mention what model that is you are showing, most cars are not to different but still would be nice to know ;)
Looks like an audi a4 about a 2005 or so.
Did you break the arm trying to pound the shaft out?
I have the fastest mode wipertis not working at all. Slow and medium mode works fine except the third click the fastest mode is not moving. Is it the motor, the relay or the shift arm stick?
Taking parts out is ez, is just putting it all back that I struggle
I have same problem to the rear wiper . ( A6 4F) you know how can i fix it ?
Does it work the same for Renault clio mk 4?
Thanks, you save me 250euro
Please tell me what is the thing you use at 1:32. Thanks!
Have you tried turning it on and off again?
Hi, My brothers girlfriend has a 2016 Ford Escape. THe wipers turn on as soon as you turn the vehicle on without the wiper switch being turned on. What could that be? Now it sounds like the fuse/fuses my be blown. The passenger side won't come on. She started her car up and the wipers were froze the other day, said it smoked. It is cold here and the wipers had froze down on windshield. My brother doesn't want to replace the motors if that's not what is wrong with it. Thank you for any help you can give.
Great now i know hou if i needt but its stil slow
I am having this problem right now, one has seized, but when I got the mechanism out, there is no clip on top, it is one piece and the arms are welded on, can't pull it apart to clean...
Anybody got like a list of all the tools and stuff required in order to do this?, thanks in advance
On my car that tight bolt thing is rotating freely when it`s supposed to stay put. If i try to turn the part that the wipers mount on top of with my fingers it will turn. The other good one will not move. I am thinking about welding it on the rear where the bolt head is. I really don`t know what the problem is.
Where can you buy tool 1:30?
PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON BATTERY DRAW
and smart German alternators software controlled by the ECU to charge on decelerations only... or simply clamping voltage down to 11.8V courtesy of junko buggy Bosch systems 😂
i drill a small hole in the wiper shaft and put some wd40 then sell it back with grease and it works
the suburban street in Germany must be filled with people having to fix countless car issues 🙂
I recently read a post like:
"VW... turning drivers into mechanics, since 1930's" 🤗
I have 7 vehicles and none of the wipers like like this. Could Identify which vehicle you are working on?
