I have an explanation as to why the smaller terrain manipulator generates more resources. This comes down to the way NMS handles resource acquisition. I'll use the mining laser as a basis then carry the explanation over. Resources are generated per tick based on the damage dealt. The resource generated this way will always be the primary resource, the secondary resource is only generated when the object is destroyed. Now as to the way this works with the terrain manipulator is that hitting a patch of copper will always generate between 1-5 or so copper. This doesn't care how big the patch of copper deposit that blasts away is, so a smaller area means you get more mining ticks which means more resources. In the same note if you're trying to upgrade your mining beam for maximum yield, +resource% will give you more than +damage because more ticks get boosted.
Edit: wanted to add in that while blasting resources off planets with your ship is good for speedy collection, you would receive a larger yield from actually landing and clearing it out by hand because again, more ticks means more resources.
Well today I learned, thanks for the in depth explanation!
Did you know there is an exosuit upgrade in the anomaly and it resets in every system you go to
I did, you can get 2 easy upgrades per system with that one and the space station one
wait where?
@@onbekend1631 right at the back where you can buy base building parts and other blueprints for a bunch of stuff 😊
@@BunkzGamingI would love to know more info on this too, I didn't even know
Awesome tips! You may know these but jic; have an Atlas3 pass then dump the lower 2, have an indium drive then remove the cadmium and emerald drives.
Damn. Been carrying tge cadmium and émerillon drives around this whole time. Also to not damage the tech I your exposait before tge core, pack em up into your cargo storage and just reapply them to your tech slots after the jump.
@@tzzeek Well it works but you loose adjacency bonuses. Once you have ship with high enough class and tech inventory you might as well keep the upgrades to boost adjacency bonuses.
@@petrnemec1421 light year distance? I think it's about 900 extra light years if I remember correctly. You're right, once enough inventory slots are opened, it wouldn't hurt to keep them.
Praise the sun.
literally died on my hardcore save because the Robo hound sentinal jumped through the ground where i had
buried myself ...
You can use normal black holes to reach the galactic core fast too. You will not break your ship anymore if you use them
The whole jet pack/refiner thing has me livid, I damn near punted my cat when you said that
😂😂😂 hopefully the cat came out unscathed
For warping to the next galaxy, I always keep the same cheap ship to warp, you do it with your freighter, just select the damaged ship in your freighter before warping (warp with your freighter, not the ship), and just plain ignore it because it will always be available in your freighter later for the next galaxy warp.
2 people explain this 2 different videos, it still makes no sense to me? is it it a bug where you go to new galaxy you lose everything? I went and lost nothing?
It only happens when you go through the center of the galaxy and warp to the next, not if you use a transporter, get a ride with another player or the anomaly@@33mavboy
Pro tip: if you want tens of thousands of ferrite dust and carbon in a few minutes, find one of those wierd planets with no trees and tons of rocks and use your starship weapons, preferably the positron or infra-knife and just blast the surface. Go slow so the resources have time to render in and just shoot. You'll end up with massive amounts of ferrite and maybe carbon depending on the planet in just a few minutes. Super nice for massive alloy structures!
You don’t have to block off the tunnel to escape the sentinels. Just dig in for a bit and wait
FWIW, it seems to help if you dig a ways in and then turn, forming a bend or crook. Reduces line of sight. Also, this may not work if a quad (robot dog) pursues you; they've clipped through dirt to pummel me in my own tunnels more than a few times.
Dig a little deeper and you will not get hit
They can still spot you even if you leave a small opening
Yep. I've also found that the deeper you go, the better (if you're too shallow, they'll keep detecting you), and like mrmarano said, I go a ways in, then take a right and then just sit.
I just downloaded the game, and im about to go in fully blind, except for this video.
Thanks for some of those ideas, life quality ideas are my favorites.
😊
Did u have fun :)
@@badmorty5164 sure did 🙂
I’ve just bought this game and I’m LOST as fuuuuu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
See why you made this vid. Thank you so much, super helpful!! I've played for years but I definitely learnt new stuff from your vid. Keep up the good work🎉
Thank you for the tips
bit struggling
Played on and off from(when multiplayer was actually a thing) ps4 and now on pc, just started a new game and it gave me a paradise planet on my first galaxy.
It really has come a long way, but i still dont have any real goal other then the travller quest thing but i dont fell any drove to play
Didn't know a nutrient processor has a shulker box ability, noted for my playthrough
All those people who say "it took you that long to figure it out?" Needs to remember that there was a time when they didn't know either
Another really fast way to make units is to take advantage of the economies of various systems. Make a storage container and put the manufactured goods in it in your freighter. Once youve got a bunch just hop from system to system and sell super expensive while buying really cheap. Of course theres the frigate expeditions and those are really fast too but just another method in case youre interested.
once you mine an ore node with the manipulator you can also restore it with silica and harvest it again xD
Thanks for the tips bro, very simpel but useful 👍😁
Good job!❤
Oh and dont forget about the power diversion in your starship. You can go so much faster with power diverted to engines and so much more damage with power diverted to weapons and take so much more damage with power diverted to shields. I know on PlayStation it's the up arrow but idk about pc or xbox
Personaly, I did not know that you could unlock crafting blueprints on the space anomaly until couple weeks ago, primarily because I was not looking for them. I was looking to unlock them long ago to make a Fusion Ignitor farm. At the time, the main (if not only) way to unlock blueprints was to visit manufacturing facilities on planets surface and get a random blueprint after giving the correct answer to the terminal. It took me more than 20 hours just to gather all the required blueprints for the ignitor.
At the time, I was kind of frustrated that you could not at least choose which blueprint you are getting, but the search for a manufacturing facility made sense. I feel like they made the game way easier for beginners (for better or for worse) but is does not feel so rewarding anymore to be unlocking the blueprints you need.
I didn't know this either and keep running across things like those storage barrels that require key passes to get in. Those barrels are on the first planet you start at but with over 30 hours in, I have yet to run across a way to get a key pass for them. Then I saw them here in the video and volla!
The only one I didn’t know was the one about hiding from sentinels on your pet
Ty
I figuerd about the sentail 1 by begin high and digging up a structure
Now I just need a tip on how to get crystal sulphide for yhe expedition without swimming, cuz I am legitimately TERRIFIED of the ocean 😂
Like phobia-scared?
@@Hadzmat-Gaming yeah straight up lol I actually almost said phobia level at first 😂
I've not tried it myself but you could try shooting from your starship into the ocean? Works on land 😂
Dang well I’ve heard the no-man’s-sky oceans can be scary but remember it’s just a game beem you can’t get hurt
@@Hadzmat-Gamingit’ll be hard to break fear, it’s not something you could just go “well you can’t get hurt from looking down this skyscraper” but people with a fear of heights would be shitting themselves even if you told them that
Well every time my brother's ship breaks down. Well I'm the one that got to take care of it. So any tricks will work. Because he's driving me nuts. 😂👍
Bro the terrain manipulation is so clutch on sentinels lol
Is hyperdrive range, at 979.5 good or ?
I found a sentinel ship named flameborn
For an extra Exosuit slot, when you enter a new system go to the space station (of course) then call in the Nexus .. each new system lets you buy another slot there.
Mine does not have the option to plot courses to resources. Any idea why? It's a PS5 and Multi-player enabled. Appreciate any help.
much more creature variety and much more detailed creature behaviour would be infinite fun!
For the s class ship you can also upgrade any lower class ship for nanites its not cheap but it will still give you the around the same stats, as a wild S Class is did this to a sentinel ship that looks like an X Wing because it was better than the first design of sentinel ship i found and each solar system, so if you hate the design look for another planet in another solar system that has a dissonant planet, my first ship one i saw looked like a rectangle and looks like a flying rectangle box no wings i didnt like it so i just used it for unit grinding 😂😂,
Id also like to point out wild s class stats for the starships are randomized meaning it could be worse or better than an upgraded S Class
So I'm maybe 5 days new to the game and I'm starting to get into endgame stuff (avoiding the main quest because everything else is way more fun) but I've hit a snag. I've been trying to get sentinel interceptors, but I get caught in dog fights on step 2 gathering mirrors. It feels like they just despawn unless you do very specific things. Am I crazy? If I reload the save on the planet will they respawn?
I had an issue gathering the mirrors as well, took me a while just wandering around trying to find those sentinels to hunt. Never tried the reload option but worth a shot I guess
Go to your settings... disable multiplater...
Edit difficulty settings to where building and resources are free...
Use the echo locator on a dissonant planet, on the computer, choose option 2.
Do the basic math and then choose option 1 and enter the glyphs left, top, then right. in order that you solved them....
go find the ship...
then just click the things needed clicking and claim the ship. Save... edit settings back to normal.
500 hours in... you can plot a route to a resource? It's like something I might have know, but forgot... super useful.
It seems you can't do that anymore? I'm trying but I can't plot a route.
Интересное видео. Ещё бы английский знать - вообще здорово было бы 😁
As far as im aware, s-class ships in outlaw systems have worse stats than other systems. While i was hunting for interceptors, i went to two outlaw systems, found an s-class interceptor within minutes, only to find out that both had worse stats than my A-class interceptor - as in 15/20 inventory and stats less than half my current ship's core stats
Had you upgraded your A class ship though? That would make sense. I have a B class ship which I don't use that often that dwarfs standard S class ones because I'd upgraded it without upgrading it's class
FASTEST WAY TO GET NANITES: Go to an outlaw station and buy all the contraband and tech and weapons suspicious packets. Open the packets and save the modules. Go do missions in the meantime. Every time you come back to the station buy mor suspicious packets. Once youve got a bunch of suspicious modules sell them for a boatload of nanites. I earned like 40,000 in less than an hour and a half
Nooo I didn't know about the jetpack refinery 😭
Actually the digging a whole and hiding from the sentiels you don’t have to close it but beware dog looking ones can get in
I heard that the stats of the s class in pirates systems are always on the low side. So it is a deal breaker for me. Not sure if it has been patched though
Even if that were true they could always be upgraded 👌
👍👍👍👍
And honestly I don't know nothing about the game. So I'm guessing all the way through. 😂👍
Why do you want to go to the galactic core and jump to a new galaxy? Is the new one going to be better than the one you are in?
Isn't actually that much difference apart from Eissentam (10th galaxy) it contains far more lush planets than other galaxies
@BunkzGaming it just seems weird to me. Billions of stars and people are all still looking for the same few?
I'm sorry, the jetpack is a refiner?!?!
It sure is, great for refining stuff on the go!
@@BunkzGaming So it does seem that the starting jetpack is not a refiner. Is that an upgrade I need to install, or am I a dummy looking in the wrong spot?
@@aamry yeah you need to install it. You can get the blueprint from the exosuit upgrade station on the anomaly 😊
@@BunkzGamingGlad I came across this comment section because I would've gone nuts clicking on things trying to get it to open up.
The audio on this video is gash
Do you think the game is worth 80 dollars for my Xbox series x
I duplicated my way to victory, No joke so far, I am almost at a 1 billion Unita
Guessing they still work those glitches? I'm at 2 billion units, keep going!
@@BunkzGaming The portable furnace glitch, it’s my favourite I duplicated so many things 😂
I've been playing less than a week and know all of this.
Congratulations
Here is your medal 🏅
