It's a pleasure to watch these pilots doing their job. So calm and collective.
Pilots are are some of the coolest people alive. So calm and composed with so much skill; They're the rockstars of the non-musical world...

Was hat das damit zu tun. Umgangsformen müssen immer sein, egal ob Kapitän oder nicht. Denn ohne die anderen hätte er auch nicht den job.
@@bowlchamps37 Clemens hat schon recht, im "Leben außerhalb" des Cockpits sind solche höflichen Umgangsformen nicht selbstverständlich. Deshalb fallen sie hier so positiv auf.
Mir wäre es zu dämlich, bei jedem scheiß "bitte" zu sagen. Freundlicher Ton reicht bei sowas.

Im Cockpit wird, aus verschiedenen Sicherheitsaspekten, sogar abgeraten die Höflichkeitsfloskeln anzuwenden. Klingt schön, ist aber nicht vorgesehen.
Ein guter guter Captain äußert sich durch andere Eigenschaften.

actually there is great engineers capable of making planes that can land like this, pilots just do nothing...

My Soft Little Pillow When i land on a plane i first think on the aeronautic engineers that made so advanced and incredible machine capable of flying ad finding a localizer for a runway. After it i think in the pilots who land the plane. I dont admire pilots i admire aeronautic engineers.
Pilots do have merit. But the people whoe really make this possible are the engineers. Who made a it, who prepared it for an emergency, who is the father and have the real merit. I dont thinks that is the pilot i think they are the aeronautical engineers. I dont think im talking trash, i think its the complete true.

Love the amount of communication in the cockpit. They talk casually, "the ground gives good braking performance" right after touching down.
Totally awesome. I never get tired of seeing professional pilots handling magnificent jet aircraft. We take it for granted but it's a real privilege to ride these fantastic machines.

Love these vids with this crew very very professional and set standards for all new pilots. Sad to see this awesome captain retire and now passenger 747s are all but retired as well. Civil Aviation will never be the same after this year's/2020 pandemic. 747-200 400 and the new 800F will remain the queen of the skies. The B747-400 is an engineering masterpiece & The B747-8i is engineering perfection.
the 747 is an old plane, the cockpit of the 747-8 is completely outdated, Airbus A380 and A350 are 2 generations more modern.
This captain is amazing shame to see him retiring but i hop ewe still see this channel

Lufthansa pilots and German ATC have the best English among all the non-English speaking ATC/pilots. Heads and shoulders above even Air France.
It's kinda sad watching these retirement flights last landings... but I am sure those pilots had great careers and took literally thousands of people around the world with their safety for-front. I top my hat to your Mr Pilot.

That last landing will be bitter sweet. I think I'd be rather upset about it
Winter landing this time with not too good viz and snow on the ground -- but like coming into a shopping mall with no place to park! Guess that happens everywhere! Frankfurt is a very busy European airport, so guess it's not too surprising -- I see a Romanian airline ahead, Lufthansa still rolling towards the terminal, and no place to park! They have to wait for that "pushback" to open up a position! Busy, busy. I guess this captain is retiring also, so was his final flight with a no-accident career ending. Very nice. Good luck, Captain!

To end your career with a landing like that must be very satisfying. Perfect technique and no float! We all do good ones and we all do bad ones. Most fall somewhere in between. But when you do a bad one, the only cure for the irritation is to do a good one. To not have that possibility would bug me for the rest of my life. :D
what a great team =) I always fly from Germany to South American and I always fly LH and KLM, both of them have great standards and since I am afraid to fly are the only ones I really trust ;)

Superb visual effects, the best I have ever seen. You did not tell us it was the captain's last flight before retirement. The captain was so proficient he made everything look easy, the sign of a real expert. The poor second officer looked a little tired though!

at 5.54 there is a Qantas 747 in background .. Qantas last flew to Frankfurt April 2013, so this is an old video.
