- Here's the race video from the Tulsa Tough Blue Dome crit. Ended up being a pretty chill day in the group until it got very un-chill in the last 10 laps. Unfortunately I crashed and broke my wrist.

Dang sorry for the broken scaphoid. I've broken same bone and it is a very annoying bone to break, also very difficult to heal properly if it ever even goes back to 100%. Hope it recovers fully and quickly and you're back to racing soon. Love the vids!
Thanks! Me too.
My G, your videos are insanely fun to watch. Keep making them.
Awesome. Will do. Gonna make a teammate record the races I’m missing so I can still post some videos during recovery.
epic video. sorry about the crash. cheering for a good recovery!
Thanks buddy!
dope playlist... nice riding
Way to send it. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy experiencing that with you. Also, that last mega pass was epic.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery ! Thanks for the awesome footage.
Great race video. You guys are crazy that looks so dangerous!
Awesome footage! My heart rate went up just watching this. Good recovery.
Spiked my heartrate just watching at work. Great video. Good luck w/ the recovery and future podium hunting.
Thanks!
Music hyped me up...glad that I found your channel!
Finally had to watch this after all the hype on the Bonk Brothers Podcast and boy did this video deliver! Great stuff!
Love it! Thanks for watching!
Yep. Rode my last crit in 2001. I miss those inside jumps (you got 20 riders on that last one!) but I don't miss gettin merc'd by a noob chasing a bottle of gatorade and a free carwash. Plus medical, plus bike parts, plus plus plus. Still, thanks for letting us watch!
Dude this video is 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for coming to Tulsa and putting on a show! Good luck with the recovery 🤘
Thanks.
Awesome dude. Great video too.
So sorry this happened. I’m in Tulsa and this race has become so notorious for wrecks I passed on it this year. I hope you heal up fast and come race again next year. Cross is coming!! #dadwatts
Love it! Thanks!
You just earned a new sub!(: Nice POV-Angle i like this better than chest-mount ANY DAY also nice HUD and editing. Watching well produced content is just way more pleasing than badly produced content no matter how good of a video idea it is. Keep up the good work!!!!!
Awesome. Thanks!
Best on your recovery. Ride on!
I came for the crashing, yelling, and swearing.
That’s right! Haha
And you’re all outta yelling and swearing? 😂
but bailed from shit music
I am happy this is still part of the race and kids nowadays are not too soft. Raced almost 25 years ago and we had fights while racing.
@FITNESSOVER45 this was in Tulsa.
Bro you had it! Best wishes to you. That was so exciting to watch.
Yea. I felt good. Haha. Thanks.
Sick video! thanks for sharing. good luck with recovery
Thanks
That was very entertaining! God bless! Heal up quick.
Great clip - Thanks. A friend and fellow cyclist with Rennie Janse Van Rensberg. This the first decent footage I've seen of this series being based here is RSA! :-) Get better soon! Crit racing soooo hard! Full gas for 60mins plus!
Thanks!
14:01 - Total bummer about the crash, but I lost it when I saw Ricky Bobby make an appearance. Well done.
Glad you liked that! Haha
Bro, first video I’ve seen of yours and I’m subscribing. Your editing is 🔥 and your turn 1 IQ is 500+
Haha. Thanks for subscribing!
Great pass! Get well completely! Had a broken wrist bones 18 months ago but it was not diagnosed right away. It got better but it sometimes still clicks when servicing my bike.. Anyway, fun video format.Usually I do not favor in-video captions. Here is optimal amount plus music choice sounds good.
An amazing POV video
Shame, you was doing so well
Speedy recovery bud
Thanks. Appreciate it.
Dude that was gnarly! Very un-chill indeed! Hope you make a speedy recovery!
Thanks. Already back to training!
@@DrewDillmanChannel Thats great! Good job!
Beautiful cornering, passed 'em by the dozens. Sorry about your wrist, but it was cool to see such a great turnout in both the field and spectators up in T-town.
Thanks man.
Damn, sorry to hear. Always have good content, learned a lot, especially over CX.
Great to hear this. I’ll keep ‘em coming.
That's a crit race of epic proportions. I've been involved in racing for 20+ years, I feel for you and it sucks. Keep doing what you do brother.
Appreciate it!
Great video. Great racing. Speedy recovery
Thanks!
Great stuff! Nice touch with the Ricky Bobby clip
Speedy recovery, amazing video.
Appreciate it!
Great video, good job on the filming and editing, fun to watch, except the crash..OUCH! Hope you make a full recovery.
Thanks. Back on the bike now. Comeback initiated.
This looks insane. :)))
That was intense.
Oh man. Team mates were spot on. heal good this summer for next
Yea. Wishing I was with them on the sidelines for this one.
Dillman well done with this video felt liked I was in the race the music, caption even how you pointed out the debris on the road. Peace!
Awesome. Glad you liked it.
I’m glad you’ll be back for Cx.
It’ll be a smaller than normal cx season but I’ll be out there. Natty champs right down the street from me!
glad to see your video editing finger still works! at least you'll be back at it for cx season
Yea. Definitely took a little longer with one hand but we got it done. Haha.
Awesome video and superb bike handling skills...
Thanks!
Great video - I'll stick with "fighting rocks/mud/slippery roots" up here in the Pac NW. Get well - keep up the good work.
Ahh I broke my scaphoid in HS football, low blood flow area of the wrist so easing recovery is crucial to get a good mend on the bone, follow your surgeon's recovery orders learn from my mistake 😉 I had a fibrous union of the bone because I returned to activity too quickly, very little ROM as a result.
We train so hard and to be taken out of competition is always tough, I feel for ya but sounds like you're staying positive and hopefully on the trainer in a few weeks or so🤙
For sure. Thanks for the encouragement and advice.
Always loved 8-corner crits, they take some bike driving skills to do well.
Great video!
Thanks!
hope feel better now, great race
Thanks!
People making up excuses for no finishing the race💀
Speedy recovery!
🤣
Sublime overtaking skills!
Had to look up sublime to see if it was good or bad. Haha. Thanks!
@@DrewDillmanChannel LOL, you got some super good crit skills, but very unfortunate to be taken out by the crash! Cool race video though!
Never seen a race before, been wanting to get into cycing but sheesh this looks intense! Hope you have a speedy recovery!
Don’t let this scare you away. It’s awesome. Haha
Get out on an early Sunday morning on a 4-Corner city block that has 2 or less stop signs and is right turns.
You can practice cornering, ramping up speeds when heart rate is already high and maintaining speed in and out of corners.
Stay Vertical!
Scaphoid break is tough. Heal up man. Don't try to rush the recovery on that one...lots of horror stories of folks getting it wrong.
So I’ve heard. Haha.
Oof!!! You were going so well!
Get well soon. Please dont rush your recovery.
Gnarly but great vid! Heal well. Prayers up.
Thanks!
I broke my index finger like that last month watching tv and drinking beer
Life is dangerous
Never raced on Friday. (Cat4forlife) but I love to watch the racing Friday. Sketchy is an understatement. I really like the Saturday course at Tulsa tough. One of my favorite crits to race.
love it
Heal up quick man!
Appreciate it!
Lol, the Ricky Bobby analogy was a great reference.....
You race like I do. I start near the back so I can see what’s going on, herd some cats, and roll up hard and fast.
Payin' the dues sucks.
There were alot of guys setting up for the finale.
All the best in recovery and returning back to the field.
Thanks!
Great video, great race buddy. Recover soon. Best regards from a brazilian a ex-rider.
Nice...jeez #85 taking his hands off the bars 5:20...Indiana Hand Center calling
Dude that’s crazy. recently fractured my scaphoid as well, had surgery I start PT in week. Heal quickly 🙏🏼
You too man.
I watched one huge crit in person. After the screaming in agony, ambulances scraping people off the pavement, hundreds of thousands of dollars of busted carbon fiber because of one guy's bad move, I knew I'd never crit race myself. I do time trials, MTB, gravel, triathlon... but no way with crit. Can't imagine throwing my bike and money and bones away like that for no reason.
I’ve since transitioned to more gravel focused racing.
Background music makes me hyped for racing
Glad you like it.
How you guys get close to one another send me chills. Arent you afraid your front tire gets knocked and you have a crash cz thats how l broke my clavicle. Quick recovery
Yea. It’s scary for sure. It doesn’t feel as close when you’re in the race.
@@DrewDillmanChannel oh l understand. Do you do long distance races?
Some smooth riding.
Broke my scaphoid in 2020. Listen to the doc. It heals like crap. I was 13w in a cast.
Oof. Thanks for the advice.
As someone who broke a right scaphoid in a race and got pins. Some advice 1) Get the dr to give you enough pain pills for a couple weeks, not a couple days. 2) Have that pin removed as soon as possible. The way that bone moves, it will eventually unscrew itself and dig into Cartlidge. Get into PT the minute that screw comes out. 3) You'll be in more pain for a week when the screw comes out.
that group was so nervous you just had to know that crash was innevistable. I was cringing the whole time. Sorry to see that !
Yea. I was too. Felt scary the whole time.
Me: "Wow look how high his heart rate is so early into the race! I would die"
@4:03 "Okay then..."
Great presentation. Sucks on the crash and finger. Heal well.
Bummer! Same injury as that euro kid, Pogacar. Heal up brother.
Yep. Pretty sure he had surgery the same day. I had to wait a week. Haha.
@@DrewDillmanChannel on the bright side, you don't have to pee in a cup twice a day
Damn! I watched Snake Alley last night, subscribed, watched your races since then this morning and then I find out that the day I subscribed is the day you're not racing for 10 weeks! Hurry up dude, get through these 10 weeks quickly! Looking forward to more racing!
Oh, yeah, hope the wrist doesn't hurt too much. But is your bike okay?? 😰🙃
This is great! Thanks for watching. Hope you check out the training videos too. Trying to make those better. And I have a go pro to Ferg to record some races so there will still be race videos coming out. Thanks for subscribing! And yes, bike was fine.
These boys were all over the place in the front of the race...scary riding lol
Yep. Agreed.
Ricky Bobby quote FTW! 😂👍🏼
Yes!
“That just happened!” 😂 Ex-Endurance MTB racer here. This vid of yours confirms what I’ve always thought … Crit racers are nUtS! 😳
This is like a movie
Inspiration for my next crit race (tonight).
Alright. Let’s go, have fun out there!
Heal up brother 🙏
Thanks!
Good footage. Now I’m older I can no longer risk injury and end up with a lifelong issues. I just ride alone on the countryside but I miss the crits and track racing.
After a recent crash, I’m right there with you. Haha. This is a dangerous sport.
damn, sorry for you broken scaphoid. But man look at those $$$ bike just flying into the pile up.
When you got to the pointy end of the race the first thing I thought was wow sketchy!! Also thanks for the long version of the video. Looks like you were feeling good and ready to crush it too. 🙁 Crashing sucks. Heal quick.
Yep. Felt really good. Thanks!
Great video, sorry about your scaphoid. Question from a noob: why don’t the riders form pelotons or slip-stream more?
Get well soon brother. Enjoyed the video but couldn't imagine putting that many cyclists in one area and not expecting carnage.
Yea. Definitely a large field.
Can you provide the playlist for this video? Please
I think I just broke my finger just by watching yours!
Haha!
that was not the ending i was hoping for. gd!
Me neither!
Crazy race, I’ve also broken my scaphoid 😅
Bummer!
Ouch!! Broke mine and had to have a bone graph 1.5 years later, that was 1990. Last October I had a Primal Row Carpectomy to remove 3 wrist bones due to terrible arthritis. When you're in the cast, forget you have a thumb and just let your body do its think. Worse bone to fracture in the whole body.
Nice pass at 13:00 . sorry about the break :-(
Heal quickly!
Thank you for sharing and providing an interesting race. I wonder if the music is truly necessary?
I prefer it.
Well crap I was hoping for a better outcome than that, for you.
I raced for about 14 years in the '80s and '90s and we didn't have anything like a GoPro .
I have a bunch of still photos of my racing .
Watching this video, I was starting to get the familiar adrenaline of a race .
I remember when when I raced in the Manhattan Beach Grand Prix, the roads were so wet from fog that people were crashing all over the place.
We had a high speed uphill we're about 20 guys went down and we're sliding up the hill at about 30 mph after a fast downhill.
Makes me want to race again but I am 62, now but still go to the Velodrome in San Diego.
Hope you feel better soon.
6:13 some serious sketch goin on! Thanks for the video man these are great. Sorry to see the crash man. Heal up quick!
Absolutely. Love doing it. Thanks for watching.
What’s the “fast life” song?
Good for the bicycle industry, many repairs and many new parts needing to be replaced
Yea. Good for the medical industry too. Boones to be repaired as well.
🗣Dayum✅
Banging sound track.....and bonus I now know what a scaphoid is...thanks for the vid! You were looking good, until you weren't. I love crits but ... but they need to be called grits.
Haha. Thanks! Glad liked the video.
