You should use your connections to try to interview or at least ask a question or two about this directly with the players
😂 the players don’t want to talk to this 🤡 hahahahahaha
This will stop when these companies start getting sued. That's false advertising and lies. Prism needs to get sued. Then they wanna charge so much a box. Never again will I buy anything prism. What a joke. Thanks I appreciate u 🙏
$850 for a hobby box with no other big RC QBs is wild af.
ya crazy people are paying to chase these cards and they may not even be real.. No idea why they dont have a rep watch them sign
Sticker autos suck! Never invest in that crap.
Panini and or Fanatics should sue the crap out of those players for breach of contract.
if the card says it was witnessed in person by panini the consumers need to sue the crap out of them too
I work with will Macdonalds girlfriend, he’s the jets 1st round pick last year. She was telling me about how he was signing all the stickers and cards, so I asked her if anybody was with them when he signed these…. She said no we were just at his apartment by ourselves. So he easily could’ve had someone sign them if he wanted to. We’re talking about a 1st round draft pick. So the whole “panini guarantees this auto” is the biggest bs lmfao they don’t guarantee shit. These guys are all signing with nobody from panini around. Panini sends these guys sticker sheets and cards to sign and they sign them in there apartment while playing Fortnite drinking beers, nobody around. And some cases they’re having other people sign for them.
Snitch @@EatinGoodOsrs
@@EatinGoodOsrsthere is a really big difference between guaranteeing and witnessing. The latter would be a lie, but the former could be satisfied with a replacement card.
Isn't that what the Panini Authentic stamp is for? 😅😅
PRIZM NEEDS TO GET REAL AUTOS DONE IMMEDIATELY AND REPLACE THEM FOR ANYONE WHO PULLS ONE ❌
Isn’t it the players fault? Sounds like they get a bunch of cards and have their friends or people sign his name on them.
You mean panini?
@@santaclause3487 No its on Panini, it clearly states that all autographs are 'witnessed' and guaranteed by Panini, this is only on them.
They won’t there complete scum bags and we as ppl need to stop lining there pockets
Agree! 👍
I pc the Steelers and noticed at least three very different looking signatures on the DeMarvin Leal rookie autos, and this was across three completely different products, none of which were even Prizm. This seems like it could be more of an issue than we may have thought. I feel like it’s possible some athletes may be getting family members, friends, managers, etc. to sign for them.
ya need a stack of kordell stewart cards?
@@arresthillary9502 I appreciate your offer very much, but I already have endless Kordell Stewart cards from buying big steeler lots.
The fake auto thing is huge. I think the card companies are going to need to change things to ensure that the players are the one's signing these cards. Also, they will need to make it right if this turns out to be true. Otherwise, I see a lawsuit coming. Glad to see you are hosting some great events at the store. Cheers!
Just do on-card autos and get a representative to witness it like Topps does.
I know a place run the MLB and he has three signatures. Signs one with full name, another with full name and adds his number and a third where he just signs his initials.
Hi Geoff I need help I just was at a show today and found a Jalen hurts rookie in a dollar box and looked at the name and it was cut off and it seems it’s a mega error card. I guess my question is what is it worth😅
All Auto cards need to be signed in front of reps for the Card company and filmed. After each Autograph hold it up to the video front and back. It is easy to stop forgeries by timestamped video evidence. The cards can NEVER leave the card Rep’s control either. No one else even in the room.
Interesting PSA authenticated at least one already. Makes you wonder if that one is fake, then just how many random autos are slipping through as authentic.
A friend i play poker with i have a pic of his brothers anthony richard green scope prizm auto and it looks COMPLETELY different then both those autos, its smaller and squished kinda close together!! Really wondering whats up now. Its psa 10 but he didnt have the auto graded.
I’ve been calling this on Leaf for yearrrrs. I’m afraid these are not real which is not great for the product or Panini but I also believe they’re not the only one.
So I do know that DTR had a family member helping him sign stickers because of the amount of autos there were to sign. So wouldn't surprise me if AR did the same or changed his auto to get done quicker
As a collector of Nick Bolton (former Mizzou and Current Chiefs LB) I can definitely tell a different from early rookie Bolton Autos and his current Auto. He changed his auto to just a NB with some squiggles in between/over them instead of a more traditional signature probably due to the amount of cards/stickers he was being asked to sign. Totally wouldn't be surprised if this happens more often. Never had a Bolton Auto not get at least authenticated.
As someone who would work with UpperDeck i would get the cards (or stickers) meet with the player and usually a manager or pr person and watch him sign. On jerseys i would take photos of the player putting on several jerseys to then verify that it was player worn. Letters of attestation and photos to verify signing was legit. This was even done with what you might consider pretty low players or older former players. You may wish to check and see if procedures have changed for panini and topps.
Upper deck does it right. Panini is a joke.
@@Supercardbrosnv Yes panini trusts too much and I wonder how many are signed by mom or girlfriend:) Trust but verify!
Has anybody got any back where they said they are not sure?
He’s right about Prizm being so delayed. Prizm coming out midway through the season eliminates a lot of the fun for me. Everyone knew Wemby was going to be a star but, no one knew Podiemski (?) from tye warriors would become a player. Part of the fun of collecting cards is having a card you thought wasn’t going to be worth much blowing up.
Not sure how much PSA can be trusted either though. An autograph I have and I know who did it and is 100% legit, PSA and Beckett claim it has been doctored. The auto is from the 1990's by a lesser known golfer. No one would forge, or doctor, the autograph in question. I have all the provenance to know it is 100% legit. PSA and Beckett are not 100% trustworthy either.
Fake auto's are even more collectible....love to get one of those.
First big question I had, and I just got through the intro, is are we sure these cards were pulled from actual packs that were put together by Panini? Or were these cards that got purchased from somebody online as a single card? Also, I could honestly see someone's autograph being a little bit different if one is 5 inches long on a jersey and the other is 2 inches long on a card. So the scale may affect how some people make their signatures. Also, I think we need to start questioning PSA. Stop putting so much trust and faith into them. They take up to two years to send their cards back sometimes and they are very very inconsistent. And constantly make shipping/order mistakes.
Mahomes auto now is different than his rookie auto. Sauce Gardner has 3 distinct autos. Just because AR's autos are "mutating" doesn't mean they're not legit. Plenty of precedent. There has to be something analytical added to it to give it credence.
I have a question about Topps. I have a lot of singles from the junk wax era, and was wondering how do I tell if it is Topps Tiffany or regular Topps.
Original Topps back is plain brown-ish.... Tiffany is light and very bright in comparison.
@@mikerukavina4551 So would Topps Tiffany be yellow?
@@mikerukavina4551 There's also a different number of dots I believe on the back. I don't remember exactly, but check that out as well..
Ink much brighter on back of Tiffany
@SpencyJames ish....depends on the year. I know 86 Tiff traded is almost a vibrant pink....87 I guess could be considered a very light yellow, almost white.. Been a while since I've seen 1. I can't remember when they stopped making them. They also have much glossier finishes on the front.
We need fewer autograph cards, go to on card autos and get them signed in person.
From the 2023 Rookie class, I’d invest in Bedard (even though Hockey never gets mentioned).
The mention of @JxmyHighroller is on point. His videos are fantastic!
Also, young guys change their signatures ALL THE TIME. Look at some of the early sigs from Trayce Jackson Davis. His are all over the place and you can literally see his thought process as he shortens his signature the more times he needs sign it 🤣
The i is missing on the spectra preview of Richardson on the panini site, just saying
Maybe they dont care about quality control Aren't they losing their rights to print sports cards????
Pretty sure the one you said was authentic was just the card graded a 10 and not the auto graded.
The player, himself or herself, can verify 🤷♀️
Big fan of Geoff and hope to visit Cards HQ but the guest at 2:33 "I have no idea what I'm talking about I'm just saying stuff" doesn't make me wanna watch the rest of the segment necessarily. For this topic, I'd get a panelist that authenticates autos.
Would you rather I lie and say I’m a forensic handwriting expert?
Being asked to sign things 100s to 1000s of times, your auto will get shorter and simpler, too.
To be honest “Club House Signatures” have always been in the sports world historically
I heard about the Richardson fee days ago at time I was happy I only hit silver and green pulsar of him, but I'm sitting on a DTR this is very disappointing considering Ive spent thousands on prizm this year trying to build my son's a collection, hoping they would not only keep them entertained and happy but investment for there future, they love the hobby so much, very sad :(
Baltimore's sticks are hot but pitching wins championships.
I got outta a PSA 10/10 DTR Mosaic Auto #/75 bc when I was researching his autos across the sets I noticed a few very different versions across the sets & in same set so seems Prizm is following suit.
Anyone need a Thurman Thomas auto opinion I got you lol
Box replacement should occur.
Having that many prospects and young players on one team will likely harm their prices and not help.
Searching for Will Grier autos!
Reminds me of Tommy Boy "But why do they put a guarantee on the box? Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me."
Dorian Thompson Robinsons auto on the left looks like yaya diabys!
I'd go straight to Panini. That AR card is no small card.
Is it only prizm it affects?
I think the amount of fake cards/collectables on the market today would shock people.
Good on PSA!! It makes me very happy to see a HUGE company in the hobby doing what they're doing!! Thank you PSA
Not hard to believe players have other people help them sign thousands of cards in the crib, wife, brother, sister, etc
Jordan love has 2 different autos as well. One looks like a kids wrote it then one looks perfect. So many more examples but thats just a big one I can think of.
In the old days, they had a representative observe & witness the signings. So, I don't know how Panini can guarantee any auto is authentic, when they're just taking a player's word for it.
In the old days there were like 10-12 max players who signed for a particular company where you could control the autograph sessions… that’s just not possible now.
@@andrewreid895 Well, if they're going to guarantee that a signature is authentic, that should come up with a better plan than that way it is now... have it on video or something.
Many baseball and a few hockey cards were signed either by a secretary or the wife of the player (like Shoeless Joe Jackson who could not read or write) so how can PSA justify any of the autographs they verified?
Like foreal who signs their name 100% everytime ESPECIALLY if they're signing a ton of stuff. They get tired and short hand stuff.
props to the JimmyHighrollers video- T-pott! Totally agree, his video puts Victors potential for greatness in perspective!
Psa should follow cgc’s in house signing, invite the athlete in, people send cards to psa and get signed. Athletes from all sports get on a schedule and just announce them
Imagine signing thousands of stickers. Your bound to miss a dot on a i and your hand finna get tired and your signature is gonna look different. Also some of these kids are still figuring the autos out like there 23 years old they haven’t been doing the same signiture for 20 years I’m 24 and I’ve changed the way I sign things and documents several times already
Doug, please introduce Geoff to Futera Soccer. All on card autos, all game worn patches with details on when the jerseys were used. They do it right. They don’t have licensing but their autos and patches outsell Panini products by 2x to 4x.
I have 0 training in hand writing forensics and I'd question the authenticity...Something funny is going on.
Cant believe they are not mentioning Junior Caminero for mlb prospect lol
When they sign stickers they are probably signing 15 autos a minute they are probably just signing as fast as possible ?
I took a piece of paper and put my signature on it 20x and everyone was different than the other
TuaMan that’s who else Stroud gotta worry about! How we over looking the best qb this season?
I can't help think Fanatics has something to do with these fake autos.
Dang, I love the Kevin Hart on the cards. I want one for sure
Xaiver worthy has like 10 different autos on his cards id be surprised if they all were his.
Panini should sue the player for massive damage
Why wouldn’t Panini catch this before putting the on the card???
Its 2024 you set up a laptop tell playrrs ro turn it on whrn thry sign the cards. Boom done
Panini should go back to just making stickers.
I mean there are products that just have "AR" on it... not even his full name
Great shout out by T-Pot for JxmyHigh Roller putting out the best Basketball data. I'm not even a huge basketball fan and his videos rock!
Why the hell hasn’t anyone just asked Anthony Richardson?! 🤯🤯🤯🥴🥴
Good job!
Need to hold the player responsible if not a real auto. They are paid to sign. Imo 🤷♂️..js.. need to ask player publicly.. this could be detrimental in the future in cards
no not the players the company
RothCards Josh sold a psa 10 of Anthony Richardson Prizm Auto and we know he isn't a scammer this is panini Idk if he bought it raw and graded can't remember this is crazy man.... Hope Josh can get things right🤘😔😐🤙💯
a $5.00 card becomes a $5,000 card ??? ... gee ... i wonder why i didn't think of it ????
Sometimes people get lazy with their autographs, I know I do sometimes when I sign things. Also, if you're going to fake something, you'd make it look at least believable, making it look as similar as possible to the real thing. I think players are just tired of signing these mountain stacks of cards and just go to the simplest form they can, or they could have been drunk at the time. Lol
This is why I get autographs in person
Did Mr Beast just walk by..😮😮😮
The audacity of Panini to raise their prices, even though they don’t have autos of the majority of the biggest stars, is just sickening. They’re just trying to make as much as they can before losing their licenses. They couldn’t care less about their customers. The terrible quality control and the 3 year old unfulfilled redemptions tells you that.
Well said!
what if its PSA's fault? what if they changed their signatures?????
Why don’t they just ask the signer?
A young adult changed the way they write their names? This seems like a problem with psa not doing their due diligence on the signatures they are authenticating
What about soccer. Most underrated cards. I bet they pop right before World Cup.
Some have their managers and or someone else in their circle sign for them 😂😂😂
I thought panini said the auto were infact real... The dude on Facebook posted the email from panini confirming indeed it was a real auto
so go ask Anthony Richardson if he signed it ... we all are proud of our signature he'll vouch .... same for DTR !!! Simply GO ASK THEM .... Face to Face another video YO!
Maybe after signing 100s of stickers he got sloppy. Like somebody said just ask Richardson 🤷
broke his arm, had to sign with the left
What if he DTR just signed stickers different than others to see what autograph he liked better? I doubt he cares what people think. What if AR changed his auto? Peoples autos change or young guys experiment with different autos. Happens all the time
😂😂😂if youve been in the hobby since the 90s you'd remember the same thing happened with fleer at the end. Alot of early 2000s fleer autos they wont authenticate either. Seems to be a running theme getting fake autos ftom these companies when theyre hoing under.
PSA didn’t authenticate the other Anthony Richardson auto. The card itself got a 10. You guys twisting things up.
Autographs change in time. And it could be in a very short period of time. Mine changed tremendously when I started signing off on paperwork for a job.
No one's aurograph changes the way DTR looks, that's absolutely rediculous.
This would not be the first time an athlete has had family members or friends sign autographs for him on cards. They send sheets of stickers to them to sign and there's usually no one to witness it from the company.
I cant wait for fanatics to take over!
Prizm proves why you should not be involved in ultra modern. Just buy the goats and the classics !! It’s safe and somehow takes collectors many years and huge losses to ultimately head that direction either way. I wish I would have known years ago. My collection is now ONLY Graded Brady Rookies , Manning , Montana , Rice , Peyton, Messi, etc etc. The low pop or Serial numbered versions are best to get if you can and you’ll like the Hobby again as it’s very tough to get hurt that way
I change my auto all the time
That is wild bro hes tthe pnly good rookie qb that signed in panini amd now the auto is questioned
If these aren't authentic, how can anything Panini has released be considered authentic? They obviously aren't witnessing signatures.
Also, how little does Panini care about quality to put obviously fake auto stickers on cards?
They should get more than their money back. They need to be sued for selling fake autos.
This has to hurt Prizm I don't see how it can't and yes I'm no expert myself but I can clearly see the difference!!
Stickers have to go
You need to bring back the actual physical cards and display them in front of you guys while your doing the show like you used to in the old studio. 😂😂😂
