    🔐Schlage Kwikset Sargent and Yale locks should be used on your front door. Lock pickers and criminals will have a hard time picking any of these locks. The only way you can stop brute forced entry is with a good surveillance camera. Subscribe to my locksmith channel to learn more🗝

    You don't need a six and five pin of each, get the six and use a 4mm spacer. For decoding with the spacer you need to shift up so #2 is your new #1

      You’re so welcome I’m shooting a video renaming locations in the expensive briefcase I might as well use it seeing as I paid just under $100 for it. I use lacquer thinner to erase the original names of the pics and using a silver sharpie for my list of pics, you’ll see in the video. Thanks again.

    You can go ask your Local Locksmith he might have a pile of goodies just waiting for you to come by and get I buy mine on sale from various Lock and Door suppliers and I always have in the past purchased extra cylinders when I’m buying for a job, so I have extras You could stop by your local Lowe’s or Home Depot and see if they have old locks that you can come by and get when they accumulate if you ask for them they’ll be more than happy to give you them. There’s lots of old hardware, especially at Billings being torn down, oryou can even stop in at your local hospital and see if they’ve got some cylinders or things of that nature laying around in there boneyard make sure to sanitize everything with Windex. Have fun and keep watching my videos for more door lock tips.

    I've used my Lishi Y11 and Y13 in wafer locks and they work just fine. They work in both clockwise and counter clockwise tension. Makes cutting a new key so much easier than decoding it by looking down the "unlocked" picked keyway.
    Give it a try sometime.

    Don't buy a Lishi M1/MS2 tool expecting to decode Master Lock padlocks without a lot of trouble. The pin decoder chart wasn't accurate and didn't provide the correct cut code for my locksmith to make a working key.

      @@doorandlocktips A locksmith told me that the problem isn't with the Lishi, it's with the Master Locks because their tolerances are so sloppy. The pin settings don't always match the pin decoder chart on the Lishi.

    • @doorandlocktips
      @doorandlocktips  Před 4 měsíci +2

      @@noneovyerbusiness4909 oh, I see what you’re talking about. That’s a common problem that’s not a big issue you have to cut three or four keys anyway when you’re making a duplicate key when you read with lishi it’s with every manufacturer that you will read the key on lishi pick I don’t care if it’s best or Sargent or whatever doesn’t matter you’ll never get the accurate reading the first time you may just buy accident but really you’re gonna have to cut maybe five or six keys before you really get one that works I should probably make a video of that every manufacture just put your mind arrest of every Lock will have this issue. It’s not just that master lock. Thank you though I see what you’re talking about now not a big deal.

      @doorandlocktips  Před 3 měsíci +1

    • @doorandlocktips

      To buy all of the car lishi’s you’d spend around 5000 bucks and I have no use for any of the car lishi’s. I don’t work on cars and you can pretty much pop open a car lock with the yellow finger tool so I wouldn’t bother with them at all that’s just my personal feelings I don’t work on cars so I don’t really mess with those Lishi’s.

    I don’t see why you can’t cut a key to code maybe your code machine is off you know you have to calibrate those machines from time to time I can cut a code by any of these Lishi pics they may be off slightly, but you just cut another key with a little different depth on it Kind of matching what the lishi says and matching with the lishi says and it all works out for me I’m not experiencing the same troubles you are with the lishi pics is what I’m trying to say so I’m guessing your code machine is off why don’t you buy a regular padlock from a reputable supplier and pick it with the leash pick and see if the code matches the key
