Over this last year I’ve switched to cruelty free and vegan skin care, and I also refuse to buy from any US company that sells in China because of the animal testing they do. Right now I’m loving Jane Iredale and Paula’s Choice. Now that I am 13 months into my gray hair grow out I am also paying more attention to my skin. Also, thank you for your channel it really helps me stay motivated to live true to my values and embrace who I am

I really enjoy all your videos and think your outlook on life is really relevant. But I totally understand that bashing out videos weekly or whatever and getting stressed out about it is so the wrong thing to do. So totally support your attitude that less is more and I am sure your grandmother would approve! BTW I am 56 and went grey about 2 years ago. I have a short cut because it suits me better than long hair and love not colouring my hair any more. It’s in a much better state because of it. Love your cats!!!💕💕💕💕

Thank you for such kind support! I am trying to enjoy life, which doesn’t always involve the internet :) I am so happy that you are happy with your hair choice!

I appreciate how you voiced it's important to use up what we already have or that using something in sustainable packaging isn't sustainable if it doesn't work for our needs!
My current favorite cruelty free vitamin c serum is the Dr. Brenner's one. It's affordable and comes in glass packaging. But I also really enjoy the Purito Centella Unscented sunscreen because it's more affordable, the filters are ewg verified, and it has no added fragrance. I've heard SO many good things about Tamanu oil and it's on my list. So is the Good Molecules niacinamide.

These are amazing pieces of advice - thank you!! I will come back to this post when I run out of the Vit C serum to try what you suggested :)

I just discovered your channel about a month ago. Your content is so important and has made a difference. About 20 years ago I was one in a group of maybe 5 who would protest the circus that came to Philadelphia each year because of the animals. They needed a voice. I did what I could at the time and as history is showing we can finally see it really did make a difference! I’m grateful for people like you who are helping me realize that I’m not alone. We care about animals and the environment. And we do what we can to make a difference. I’m probably 90% vegan and do my best with sustainability and recycling. But I find I’m mostly having trouble with plastic. I want to live without it but it seems to be overwhelmingly impossible. Thanks for your educational and inspiring videos. I’m looking forward to many more!

I understand the difficulties in finding good products- I prefer them to be vegan, package free AND scent free!

thank you, it is very useful! I can also recommend Lavera, they have skin care and very nice make up line as well.

I have switched to almost all cruelty free/green beauty products within the past two years and am still on the hunt for my holy grail products, especially in skin care. Satin Naturel has a really great and affordable Retinol Serum, which also comes in a dark (violet) glass bottle to protect it from UV light. I find it diffuclt to find organic beauty products that are not packaged in plastic and don't break the bank at the same time. I guess this is the same everywhere around the world. I am a fellow youtuber & silver sister (in progress) from Germany.
