- Today I take you through some zero and low waste swaps I have made when I had my kid. I wish I had done moe in terms of sustainability while raising a child, so I also include some things I wish I knew before having kids in terms of reducing my waste and my child's carbon footprint. As you all know, having a child ranks among the top most carbon heavy things one can do, so while I do not advocate that people stop having children to reduce their carbon footprint, these are the things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint while still having children.
I also want to stress that I definitely do feel privileged for being able to make these swaps. If you are not in the position to invest in these products, please do not feel inadequate. Instead, focus on another area where you can make a difference in our world.

I totally agree on the secondhand stuff! Yes, right now during the pandemic it’s been harder to buy secondhand because no one wants to catch the virus, however, when I had my two kiddos, everything was pretty much secondhand. Even now, it kills me that I’m wasting so much money on clothes for them at a store. Thrifting was my happy place 😭😔 sorry for the rant! Haha thank you for the tips! Just subbed❤️🤗🤗🤗

Hello, just a little recommendation that is in no way coming from a mean place, just an observation. Maybe it didn't bother most people, but I work in the post production audio industry and lav scratches are the bane of my existence, lol. If you tend to wear your hair flipped over your left shoulder you should attach the lav to the right side because your hair was laying on top of and rubbing on the lave causing an annoying/ distracting scratching/ rustling sound. Like I said, my comment is not ment to be mean at all, just a recommendation for the future (tho this video is a year old now, so maybe you've already addressed this in future videos.)
