In this video I answer the following TEN questions:
1- What does harf mean? What are the seven ahrof of Quran?
2- Why do we even have seven ahrof for the Holy Quran?
3- What kind of changes/ examples are we talking about when it comes to variations of the Quran?
4- What are Qira’at (modes of recitation)? And is it linked to Ahrof of Quran?
5- What is riwayah (narration) of the quran?
6- What is tareeiq (method) of the quran?
7- Can you have your own method of reading Quran?
8- If ahorf is a similar word to dialect, can we use today’s dialects to read the Quran?
9- Indispensable sources for those who are interested in Qira’at.
10- I am an absolute beginner in the Holy Quran, do I have to know this?

BEFORE POSTING A COMMENT, READ THIS
    Dear brothers/ sisters,
Some desperate non-Muslims have been posting comments here which are nothing but lies, fabrications, and links for video whose sole purpose is spreading ignorance and make Muslims think they doubt their deen.
And some dear brothers/ sisters asked me why this topic? It might make people suspicious about Islam.
    And I say:
    - The sole purpose of this channel is spreading knowledge and truth. It’s not meant to compare religions or criticize atheism/ any other religion.
    - Thanks to Allah and unlike any other religion or ideology, there is not a single topic in Islam/ Quran which, we Muslims, are afraid to discuss or are ashamed of.
    - I have not responded to those malicious comments/ video links because they are too insignificant to spend my time refuting them, they simply do not contain any shred of evidence in them not even to be able to refute them. When you see people, who can’t even read Arabic properly, criticize the holy Quran, then I am done. When you see people talking about Quran's different manuscripts or scrolls, I just pity them.
    - Posting questions is always welcome from anyone, posting an argument provided with evidence is always welcome from anyone, having a scientific discussion is most welcome. But spreading lies just like that will lead to deleting the comment, and if it kept happening it may result in ban.
    - Know one thing .. it IS an established fact, whether you like it or not: The Holy Quran is the most perfect book that has ever existed, and every single letter or sound in it is verified. Doubting the Quran is truly the most laughable claim I’ve heard .. This video shows (some) of the evidence clearly and concisely: czcams.com/video/MEtbT_Nrso8/video.html Watch it if you have any doubt (don’t forget to turn on the subtitles).
Finally .. Keep Learning, Stay motivated and Good Luck.

@@SheikhAlladeen hey Andy, I'm not a researcher and I have not yet looked deep into ahruf and qira'at, It's -to my shame- a postponed topic on my list, I hope someday soon I'd tackle it. I had to start with this statement to make you understand that I'm not here to fight over something I find hard to my comprehension.
as for the first example you gave, I believe you mean Surat Al-baqara verse 10? If that so, I don't see the meaning you're mentioning, perhaps you meant another one?
The second one, Surat Al-anbya'a verse 4, yes, the two verbs indicate two deferent subjects, however, the meaning is still the same, to me at least, which is that God is the hearing and the knowing, whether it's a statement of the prophet Muhammad -pbuh- or a command of Allah for the prophet to say, either way, Allah is the one who inspire the prophet with Wahy to say that. So it's not that much of a case to me.
As for the third example, Al-anbya'a verse 112, the same applies to me.
The Last one and the washing or rinsing the foot during wudu', I had no idea there are two different rules, as for me, a muslim living in an Arabic country, It's been a norm to wash the foot, it's the ordinary thing we do and we learn since we are children making wudu', but I looked it up -thanks to you- and I found that most of the jurisdiction imams, including the famous four, said that washing is how it should be and not just wiping, which goes along with the Hafs qera'a, and also goes along with some hadeeth of the prophet -pbuh- and how he made wudu' himself.
My final point, something you mentioned in the beginning of your comment, that ahruf has no existence in the qura'an, we as muslims don't take out rules from the qura'an exclusively, we also have the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad -pbuh-
And if we went along with that notion of yours, we wouldn't have had a lot of rules of our rituals, cuz Sunnah sometimes detailed what the qura'an mentioned briefly or generally, and if you're right in what you say, maybe we should stop praying our five prayers with that amount of raqa'at cuz the qura'an didn't mention it, and it was just hadeeth or imitating what the prophet Muhammad -pbuh- used to do.
But it's totally up to you to not trust the sunnah, but as for muslims we can't do that.

    • @Mai_fouad
      @Mai_fouad Před 2 lety +4

@@SheikhAlladeen just so you know, in Egypt, we have several official institutes that learn different qira'at, so it's no secret or they're trying to hide it due to the reasons you think might create a debate, the learners even get some sort of a degree called "Igaza" in that qira'a or in ten qira'at, and the most well known qura'a in Egypt have records of different qira'at as well.
PS: it's not called "someone's qura'an" cuz that indicates we have "different" versions of the qura'an, like the bible, however, it's called "qura'an with someone's rewaya" or qira'a if you like.

The work done by javed ahmed ghamidi and his student Dr. shahzad saleem regarding the collection & transmission of the Quran are good enough for me.
Most of the ahadeeth regarding the collection & transmission of the Quran have serious flaws...
These seven qiraat are a bunch of rubbish and the only correct qirat is that which the majority of the muslims hold in their hands today from Arabia to indonesia.
The various other qiraat are mostly found in parts of africa. A close look at them will clearly reveal the degraded arabic used in those qiraat and the changes that the people tried to make in the book of Allah.
That only Qirat is named after Hafs, but he learnt it from someone else, I cant remember his name, who taught that the variations of Qiraat are wrong.
These other Qiraat are a bunch of rubbish and considering them valid, would cast serious doubt regarding the authenticity of the book of Allah. Its time now, to reject them and call the spade a spade.
The Quran itself says in surah al qiyamah -
      اِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا جَمۡعَہٗ وَ قُرۡاٰنَہٗ فَاِذَا قَرَاۡنٰہُ فَاتَّبِعۡ قُرۡاٰنَہٗ

      I know your pain brother.
I am not a Muslim scholar, and my local school dint really teach about qirat and 7 dialeg of Qur'an.
So when non-muslim come to me, and say Qur'an has many version and he give me the proof. I became doubt about the Qur'an, because my local school only tell me 1 Qur'an to read.
But I know, Qur'an is the word of God, and if the word of God has many version and different meaning than thats not the word of God. (Alhamdulillah Allah swt guide me, if not I think I will became a atheist, Alhamdulillah ya Rabb.)
Aahh... I wanna cry when I think about it, because how many love Allah SWT give me... He dint leave me alone...
So I googled about the version of Qur'an, and the internet answer alaways say there only 1 version but has 7 different dialeg.
That make my doubt gone, but when I watch this video, Alhamdulillah, and Insyallah, I Will never doubt the Qur'an anymore.

    Assalamualaikum brother,
I seriously can't tell you that I'm so shocked 😲 and happy 😊 to know that Allah the almighty has revealed the Qur'an in 7 ahrof and 10 qirat... This is so amazing just for the better understanding for the people and also to challenge the disbelievers... See I'm a 17 year old and I'm a budding hafiza and while reading the Qur'an on my phone as well as mushaf I always wonder why there's a difference as I use indopak script and uthmani also... But now with the help of this video my all doubts are removed and my eman on Qur'an has become more powerful... Seriously I want to thank you for this video... This video means a lot to me

In my opinion, if you had added the conditions of an authentic Qira'ah (conformity to the consonantal skeleton of the Uthmanic codex, sound chain of narration to Prophet Muhammad pbuh, and consistency with the linguistic rulings of Arabic), it would've been the cherry on top! I hope Allah will reward you plentifully. Aamiin.

The main points the presenter made was
      1. To make it easier to read in one of the seven dialects.
An example given was color and colour. If it was to make it easier for the reader then it would be consistent across the whole version of the Quran. If a book had both colour and color in the USA version of the book I would call it a mistake.
      2. To deepen the meaning.
The presenter gave the example of one aya having a version of having fought or having been killed. His explanation is the difference adds another dimension without contradicting one another.
The Quran is supposedly written in clear Arabic and this is an obvious contradiction.
