    Great video. I'll be getting a new 2500HD soon and my first planned mod was the PPE deep transmission pan, so this video was very helpful. Process look pretty straightforward.

      As long as you have fluid transfer pump, it’s not bad at all.

    They should have let Allison build the transmission and steady just rebadging and then Allison it's actually a GM

      That would have been nice, there are definitely a few issues with this transmission internally.

    Great video but I have a question after reading a service text for the full procedure. It states there that you should let fluid drain from check valve till it has small drip. Did you guys ever have any over fill isssue with it pouring out of the check valve like that??

    Exact video i was looking for. Wanting to do this to my 23 2500. Would you recommend Amsoil transmission fluid as an upgrade or not worth the money?

      No, we have always run the ACDelco ULV

      You do not run Amsoil ATF in the GM or Ford 10 speed transmissions. Amsoil does not make a ULV fluid. They may say they do, but if you look at the viscosity specs, you realize they don't.

    So what is the scoop with the magnets, it would appear the stock pan is equipped with two magnets like most transmission pans out there for years have had one magnet but I did not see nor was it mentioned that the PPE pan has any magnets ?.

    • @dmaxservice
      @dmaxservice  Před 29 dny +1

      The PPE Pan has a magnet on the drain plug

      @@dmaxservice That answers that issue, and easy to do a drain and fill ( between filter changes ) without removing the pan and knowing what is on the magnet to alert of issues.

    The exaust pipe goes under my 2024 L8T and would this work on it?

    • @dmaxservice
      @dmaxservice  Před 13 dny

      Unfortunately we only service the 6.6l Diesel trucks and are not familiar with the gasoline variants so we wouldn't be able to confidently answer that question. PPE's website does not list the gas variant on their compatibility chart.
