I know people make fun of Biden mispeaking and gaffes, especially tonight with "Uranians," which I totally get, but I myself grew up with a speak impediment I had to overcome and I'm still insecure about the way I speak which is really similar to Biden, so when I see him giving a speech, mess up or stumble, then keep going, I actual get happy because it inspires me not to let my ticks and errors overwhelm me.

Man, it's a nice change to hear "tribal communities" casually included in the plans for the next step in national infrastructure and utilities. Like the way he asked people to rise if they were able to do so casually included disabled people.
That's one thing I sincerely like about Biden. It's hard to deny the evidence that he actually listens to other people and takes steps towards some kind of change. Also it's pretty cool seeing someone actively implementing the practices that are usually taught in "diversity and inclusion" training/education right in front of so many people who have vilified those ideas with nonsense conspiracy theories. Like...do you think they even noticed lol?

It's worth mentioning here that one of the key people in implementing those infrastructure plans is Interior Secretary Deb Halaand, the first Native American in the US Cabinet. Personnel often affects policy, and representation like that can matter.

People who try to argue against that on the basis of some bizarre notion of "tokenism" apparently don't even understand the key events that led to the revolution and formation of this nation. If there is any group of people who are tied together historically, economically, ethnically, geographically, etc. who, under that umbrella, have not had proper representation up until now, the most "American" thing we can do is work towards ensuring they are all represented in government.

I'm on no-sides these days, for reasons which are all to obvious. I feel we are in a generation which employs more "tear-jerks", aggressive rhetoric, and to fund and support these wars with our "defensive weapons" - Which last time I observed, causes more innocent, senseless deaths on both sides of our framed positions.
No popular social leader, or U.N. speaker, (or entertaining comedians) should be persuading us to choose which leaders' innocent citizens we "should or should not" care about. What's wrong with this nearly godless world, my citizens?
There has to be a more ethical and sincere moral choice about all this "World Warring", or how may we continue to say we are the miracle of evolution? What is it?
Hypocrisy is nearly an international pandemic. Peace above all, Human Beings.
I don’t necessarily know if they internet is making people dumber, or if people have always been dumb and the internet just reveals to us just how bad it is. Like when random men make random comments online about women’s health that are horrifyingly wrong, completely ridiculous and even terribly offensive. Men, in general, have never been well educated on women’s health, the internet just allows us to read their stupid comments which reveals to us just how bad the lack of education on the issue really is.

I know he's joking about the whole promise of internet for all, but in Finnland, internet is already a human right.
Most of social services connections happens online, banking is online, searching and applying for jobs happens online, everything is online, so it's logical that everyone should have the right to internet.
Internet aka the information highway should be a right for all, period.

We haven't even managed to make healthcare a human right in this country, or higher education, or affordable housing, or freedom not to be murdered by cops. Affordable fast internet is way down on the list.
