    Thank you for all of your hot choco bomb recipes. They are really creative. I love that you put ganache in it. Honestly every recipe i saw just put cacao or instant powder and some marshmellows and call it a day.

    Yours are so pretty. I love the gold you used in the salted caramel video. So, when you let them sit upside down, all of the chocolate doesn't run out? And do you only coat the mold one time? And do you let them sit at room temp or refrigerate?

    • @kellyfredericks2326

      Refrigerate as in, while the chocolate is hardening.

    • @Areesa
      @Areesa  Před 3 lety

      Thank you! If you pour out all the excess chocolate first, when you let it set upside down very little will continue to drip out. I find that just one coat works great with this method and gives a nice thin, even layer. I let them set in the freezer because I’m impatient lol, fridge works too! And then stored in the fridge once they’re all done 😊

      Thank you! Try microwaving for just 15-30 seconds at a time and stir in between, stop when they're almost melted and let the residual heat finish them off while stirring. If the microwave isn't working for you, try a double boiler over very low heat (again take it off the heat just before it's fully melted). Hope that helps!

      From my experience rice milk is very sweet in hot chocolate, with the sweet chocolate it could be too much. Toasted almond milk is delicious in hot chocolate, I love the taste of nuts with chocolate! Barista soy or oat milk should work as well, again they just shouldn't be too much sweetened. I hope this helps. :)

    Hi i have a couple questions.
    1. How would you keep these. I assume since their custard/ganache that it might need to be kept in the fridge.
    2. if giving them as a gift how long do you think these would last? a week?

    • @Areesa
      @Areesa  Před 3 lety

      Yes definitely keep them in the fridge! The peppermint one should last about a week, the other two only a few days.

    Hello Areesa, I just saw this video yesterday and was floored. What an Awesome idea! I had heard of these before but didn’t know what they were. I do have a couple questions for you tho. When you said to use Cocoa, are you talking about a powdered mix like Swiss-miss? Also how much would you use of the mix? Also, what is the amount of Milk you put in the mug? Do these need to be refrigerated after making? And when I tried melting the Candy Melts, they didn’t melt well at all. They clumped up and the tiny bit that did melt was thick and lumpy. I added some Butter but it still didn’t melt right. I have had this happen several times. I have tried melting in the Microwave, on the stovetop and double boiler with just a little water simmering over low heat and it was a waste of money. Can I use the real Coveture Chocolate to make the shells or do I need something heavier to set up? I want to make these for belated Christmas Gifts. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong with the Compound Chocolate cuz right now, I am frustrated with it. I tried it in the Wilton melting pot again, with no success. And one last question, can you use any kind of Liquor inside the bombs? I think the Kailua would be Awesome. Thanks for the info and video. I love making things for gifts to family and friends even if they are late. I just want them to look nice and shiny. Merry Christmas, JilliBean

    • @Areesa
      @Areesa  Před 3 lety

      Thank you! I used (unsweetened) cocoa powder for this, I find the mix too sweet with the add-ins. I used around 12oz of milk for each. Yes they need to be refrigerated. I use compound chocolate, not candy melts...I find a big difference in taste and consistency so stick to that (it's also called melting wafers). If you use couverture chocolate it'll taste great, but you'll need to temper it first. I haven't tried it with liquor but I don't see why not! Hope that helps :)

    • @Areesa
      @Areesa  Před 3 lety +3

      Thank you! Sure! I’m assuming you mean the eggnog recipe? It’s 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup whipping cream, 2 egg yolks, 1.5 tbsp sugar, and cinnamon & nutmeg to taste. Hope that helps!
