@@Cafe655a maybe someday you can do a short video about your projects setup and how you transfer that to next action tasks. When I mirror tasks to separate list I loose the context of what projects they apply to really fast.
@@martynasmazeika Each of my projects has a prepended tag with the first three letters of the last name of the client. I have a template for each project (I am a painter...painting interior and/or exterior of houses), so when I trigger a new project from the template button, I then go in and find/replace the template name with the first three letters of the homeowners name using the WFx "find/replace" mechanic. So a task inside a new project looks like this: @ros::@paint::clean jobsite #j #SP-5 #w ...and when that gets mirrored into my WILL DO list, that is how I know which task I am working with.
Great overview, thank you. How do you handle tasks due on a specific day? Do you leave in your calendar and mirror to Not Today if due that week (and then move to Today) or do you leave in calendar ? I’m thinking the former as you then only need to be in the Today node? Thanks
If there is something due on a specific day, I either put a reminder in my calendar or if it is time specific, I set an iPhone notification to remind me so I don't forget. But for the most part, since I scan my weekly tasks every day, and look at my calendar I tend to just grab them and move them to "today" when the appropriate day arrives.
I am very interested in creating a daily checklist. I feel is the one thing missing from Workflowy at the moment. Can you guide me in how you create your repeating tasks in your flywheel?
@@bluebell764 The general principle for creating a flywheel is to identify a situation where you want to do the same thing repeatedly, and as you are doing, start noting down everything you might want to include in the list as you go through the situation (could be a day, a week, an accounting process, a trip planning/packing list, a project management process, whatever)...then go through that list and organize it as best you can to make it the most efficient and useful...then the each time you go through that same situation, pull up that list and use it to guide you...adjusting and tweaking and improving and deleting as seems appropriate...particularly observing how to fix problems and create better throughput each time...then reset the list to incomplete, and keep on using it. It self-improves each time you use it. Does that help? Feel free to ask more questions.

It enormously expands the power of WorkFlowy and is the reason I converted most of my work to be Chrome based. It has a resetchecklist mechanic that lets you do it with a simple KBS

Los alegatos los estructuro e incluso desarrollo en workflowy. Pero, la gestión, sistema de trabajo (sea GTD u otras) y uso de etiquetas, la extensión que mencionas, espejos, backlinks y títulos sería más fácil de desarrollar con Tutoriales o incluso cursos por CZcams que permite el traductor en español. @@Cafe655a estuve un par de semanas y desinstale Slack porque la vi como distractiva y dispersa. Pero, tengo claro que es el mejor lugar para saber más de Workflowy, así que la instalo nuevamente. Entre las opciones de app de comunicaciones, me gusta más el concepto de Twist (más simple, limpio y enfocado, pero menos abierta y estrategia que Slack)
I use WFx's PowerPack "CreateYear" mechanic. It lets you create a calendar for any year. Wow, that's elaborated. How big is you base? How long does it open?
I am running around 150,000 nodes. On first open on my PC, it takes around 15 seconds, then it is instantaneous.
