2:40 - Actually, it was just one bank, which kept getting swallowed by bigger competitors, who then kept renewing the naming rights. Core States was acquired by First Union, which was then acquired by Wachovia, which was later acquired by Wells Fargo. I worked for Wells Fargo for a while, and I did some of the messy legal work to sort out all these mergers. Interestingly, only Core States was headquartered in Philly. First Union and Wachovia were based in North Carolina, and Wells Fargo’s primary home is in San Francisco.
As a San Antonio native, the AT&T Center is much less exciting than Tim Duncan was, because Tim Duncan was the most exciting player in the league in his prime.

5:51 - To build the arena, San Antonio taxed visitors renting cars. Those visitors will probably not go to an NBA game.
B Sm Houston did the same concept but instead of rental cars they do hotels.
For Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix, that picture isn't of "America West Arena" when the Coyotes played from 96 to 03. (Looks like Seattle). The Coyotes had no blocked off areas and very good attendance for their first five years including something around 90 sellouts even with 5,287 limited-view seats. No one goes to the NEW stadium that is 40 minutes away from downtown
A few notes ...
Not sure if it’s the same for basketball, but one of the reasons the AAC is known as a hangar is because of how high the visiting broadcast booth is, at least for hockey.
Barclays has some obstructed view seats for hockey as well, but not to the level of Talking Stick.
The new arena in Milwaukee is right next to the other two. It’s right next to the Bradley Center, and just past that I’d the old Milwaukee Mecca, now known as UW Milwaukee Panther Arena.
Barclays has more than just some obstructed views. The Isles are better off in Nassau Coliseum.
Though it is interesting to see, for now anyway, the history of Bucks arenas like that. The Bradley Center is set to be demolished, but the former MECCA, niw being run by UW-Milwaukee, is going nowhere.
12:47 that wasn’t a picture of Talking Stick Resort Arena, that was I picture of Key Arena in Seattle. But the Key Arena is getting renovated in 2019.
Great Video as Always! One extra note, personally, they really just need to rename Talking Stick Resort Arena to the Carl's Jr Center. They have like 3 Carl's Jr restaurants in the stadium. Also, not sure if they still do this but if an opposing team's player misses two free throws in a row, as crazy as this sounds, they drop Cheeseburgers with a parachute from the rafters.

Since Five Points won’t do it, I will. The Smoothie King Center opened at the New Orleans Arena and has been the home of basketball, the Hornets/Pelicans, hockey, the Brass, and arena football (Voodoo). Briefly filled with hopes and dreams entirely driven by Chris Paul, the Smoothie King Center is now the most terrifying place to play for other reasons (the Brow’s brow and the King Cake Baby that needs to be launched into the sun).
Dang them Marlins tickets in the seat geek add are Cheap! Probably could rent out the whole staduim for 1 game for this price of 1 playoff ticket!
I’ve worked out with the Nuggets in the Pepsi Center before. The place is really cool, and to get to the training gym you have to go through and underground tunnel system that looks like a vault from Fallout.
As a jazz fan vivent smart home arena isn’t that bad of a name, and the sponsor is pretty big here in Utah, hence why they sponsor the jazz. It’s also acually a really nice ever since it got renovated last year. Still wish it was still called the delta center tho. That’s a cool name
Same with Golden One Center in Sacramento. Golden One is a very well known bank in Northern California and not any worse of a name than Capital One Arena imo.

the ACC/Scotiabank Arena is actually owned by MLSE. Also LCA is great it even has full restaurants in it with reenter privileges.

I live in Milwaukee and I'm actually really excited to go to the new Fiserv Forum aka New Bucks home arena. It's meant for more than just basketball games and there's already been like 10 sold out events there since it opened in August.

The original name for the Utah Jazz Arena was “Delta Center”. It was a classic name for the arena Until sometime in 2006 when it was changed to “ Energy solutions arena”.

I went to my first game at Amway Center in Orlando a few years back...I’ve never seen so many people at a sporting event NOT wearing the home teams merchandise, it was weird!

Note, you never mentioned how before the Amway Arena was a huge disaster, and not even old, as it was built in the 90s. They built it but it was just before arenas started putting in box seats & luxury boxes and such
Seeing the picture of JLA reminds me of just how much I dislike Little Caesars Arena. LCA was hyped up and falls short. It doesn't even have a real goal horn for Wings games, but a recording.

Cool video. Any idea if you’ll do other arenas that don’t have an NBA or NHL team? In Connecticut there are two I know of Hartford Civic Center and Mohegan Sun (SP), in Maryland there is Baltimore Arena, in Illinois All State Arena (formerly Rosemont Horizon and the Midwest home to WWE), Texas Compaq Center (now Lakeland Mega Church), in Tennessee there is The Pyramid (now Bass Pro Shop & Hotel) and any other arena.
