I'm surprised you didn't mention the "Makers Wanted" Bahamas Bowl. Elk Grove Village, IL (The town where I went to high school) was somehow the sponsor of this bowl because yeah, nothing says Bahamas like Elks and an industrial park in the suburbs of Chicago.

I ran a Battlefrog once. It was in the middle of summer in the desert of SoCal, so yeah, it was over 100 degrees that day. The race was fun, but there were only 600 racers. (The same venue also hosted Spartan and Tough Mudders in much nicer weather-thousands showed up to those.) I was surprised to see them sponsor the Fiesta Bowl, but they never held another race after that game, so I guess they were going all-in on that one.

Utah played West Virginia in that bowl two years ago. Nothing gets my blood pumping like watching a 6-6 Utah team take on a 7-5 WV team missing their starting QB on a Tuesday the day after Christmas at like 11 am in the middle of a freaking blizzard.

For some reason I always thought that the Battlefrog Fiesta Bowl sounded like a pretty cool name.
That is, until you realize that it sounds like a bootleg knockoff of Battletoads.
Can we at least make the Birmingham Bowl an honorable mention? History doesn't look favorably on Alabama in any way except for college football
They listed the compass bowl in Birmingham. It's still the same game but I don't think they've had a naming sponsor for the years it's been called the Birmingham Bowl. If it were anywhere other than legion field they might actually sell some tickets. Not many people want to go to a football game in the hood anymore.

The sheer number of names that could be added to this list is astounding. I remember less than a decade ago attending the PapaJohns .com Bowl (yes, another "dot com" game) in Birmingham. And my school's history includes such gems as the "Carquest Bowl" back in the mid 90s.
I've been to the Poulan Weedeaters Independence Bowl game. My alma mater (TCU) played in it during my time in school, and Shreveport was close enough to drive to to be able to go. The stadium was a pit then and it's probably worse now, and if I recall correctly, it was the only game the entire bowl season that it rained during the game. The first half was a monsoon, but we played anyway.

the Astro Blue Bonnet bowl in the 70s in the Houston Astrodome, has gotta get some kind of honorable mention. It was always on at 9 or 10 PM on the Friday before Xmas when i was a kid. When you had 6 channels any kind of game was something to look forward to. Lousy name though!

I actually went to FAU when they played in their bowl game. We were PISSED that our bowl game was essentially another home game against a no-name team (no disrespect Akron fans). In 2017 we were undefeated in Conference USA (this does not include losses to teams outside C-USA like Navy) and on the verge of being ranked in the Top 25. We were expecting a decent bowl location against a team like FSU. Some think that Lane Kiffin showed no mercy against Akron because so many people criticized him for taking a head coaching job at a “bottom of the barrel school”. He definitely saved FAU’s program 👌🏻

MagicJack also once was the name of a WPS professional women’s soccer team. Yeah, that’s right, not just the SPONSOR of the team, but the SPONSOR doubled as the ACTUAL TEAM NAME 😑

the glass bowl games played from 1946-49 as Toledo won the three of the four games only losing to cincinatti at the final game of which was ever played. as the city of Toledo was sponsoring the event as the city itself was known to make glass products. the most notable game from this bowl was between Toledo won against new Hampshire 20-14 with the max attendance was 13,500.

Jacksonville Native here to tell you, the second picture of a beef o Brady’s is from here in Jacksonville and never in my life growing up did I realize that Beef “O” Brady’s was supposed to be an Irish pub, but I remember in 2010 I was 11 and we watched the taxslayer bowl from inside a beef o Brady’s, it was awful
I was at the taxslayer gator bowel when Indiana Hoosiers played them Tennessee volunteers and Indiana Hoosiers lead the volunteers at one point 22-9 but lost 22-23. I cried at the end of the game.
