and second point regarding general public support for Hamas, it is because PLA were and still are corrupt to the core and are labelled as sub contractor of Israeli regime, also Hamas was initially helped by Israeli govt to counter PLO. I think you are missing a few points here. Afghanistan is huge compared to Gaza. It's distance from the US is large as well. Logistics are much different compared to Israel and Gaza. Also it has been a decade since 2014 ,if Hamas has learned more about a ground invasion, so has Israel. The relative improvement in technology is vastly superior for the Israelis.

What about the babies Israel killed by cutting off food, water and electricity to Gaza? That is a war crime and against international law.
Today there was probably a premature Palestinian baby born in Gaza, who was placed in an incubator. And the fuel for that incubator was cut off by Israel and that baby suffocated to death.

Its funny why no one questions why Isreal keep expanding? why not respect peace deal with Palestine and expanding in West Bank and reducing Palestine to smaller and smaller area. So true. Everyone is getting polarised between Palestine and Israel when the fact is that neither are fully wrong. It is such an icky situation and people need to stop picking sides based on their religion or political affiliation. 1) When Hamas attacked Israeli civilians it's called terror attack but when Israeli forces/settlers have been killing Palestinian civilians it's not called terror attack why double standards and Hypocrisy?

If you say one group is good and the other group is bad. then you are overlooking the evil done by the good group and vice versa. Both Israel zionist and Hamas are terrorist. There will never be peace in Israel until they accept the true Messiah Christ Jesus and return to him. Because he was the ultimate gift God the Father promised to the Israelites and since they disowned him, we gentiles now get to call their God, who is actually our God, as Father via the son Jesus Christ. It's indeed a dilemma for Christians whether to support the ancient promised people of Israel or the suffering innocent lives of the Palestinians (Not that all of them are innocent, as the damage is mutual). Where would God stand now is the question. The Holy Bible says that the Lord of Hosts will always stand by Israel as a wall of protection but that the same Israel now is the confusion. However, God is unchanging even though the people change. This is once again a tribulation period for Israel, may be. But our God is also the God of the entire world, so he won't be sitting silently watching, if innocent lives are being targeted for the sake of corrupt politicians.
