2:40 Takes long sip from tea. Smacks lips. "That's too hot."
I don't know why, but that utterly cracked me up. Great video.
I must try my hand at making something similar to this building because it’s absolutely amazing!!!
One thing that I think you may want to try is making trash bags from actual trash bags. Basically you cut out a square piece of trash bag about 2.5”-3” and fill the inside with whatever you want, modeling clay, scrap pieces of foam/cardboard/paper, aluminum foil or a small stone. Then you twist the small bag up and superglue where the knot in the trash bag would be and that’s it. It’s a pretty simple and effective way to represent trash bags for your terrain and diorama builds.
Thanks! I'll have to try that out sometime. It seems like it could save a few steps.
Man this is super sick just as a piece of art. Hell I would consider this more of an art piece than I would wargaming terrain. Excellent work dude
Thanks :p
Wow.!! Amazing work!! It is great.! And the lights were the same as in the video game.!!
That's pretty good. Good set piece!
If you're spending as little $ as possible I'd suggest low voltage LEDs, wire, battery pack, and a soldering iron. Using white lights keeps it simple and you can paint transparent colors over them as needed. Also rock molds and hydrocal30 will give it weight, strength and the added esthetics.
Like the use of tissue for tarp it's similar to using gauze wrap for camo netting.
A cost effective tip, roll aluminum foil smooth (under cue ball or similar) then using a ballpoint pen to crease to create Tin Roofing or Siding effects.
Thanks for the comment! Those are some good tips. I've been picking up LEDs around the holidays for cheap. I should probably buy a soldering iron at some point.
I'm making something like this for my scorpion's habitat. He's an Asian Forest scorpion, and I want a kind of Fallout Capitol Wasteland theme, so I'm making it a little less desert than, say, Fallout New Vegas, and a little more swampy forest. I'll be using an aquarium sealant to make sure it can handle humidity and is all non-toxic for Skippy, and if i have to replace peeling "posters" etc. that get too humid, then... well, that post-apocalyptic, and it was all cheap to do!
One of those "tarps" would be a cool doorway. I was thinking of using oilcloth, but this might be easier.
That sounds amazing :p
That looks really good. The gaps behind the siding is a nice touch and helps sell the dilapidated nature of the building.
Thanks! I'll be making a few more buildings in this style for sure.
Wow! Love it! Am certainly going to adapt this for Necromunda. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! :)
Very cool! I reinstalled, but another good game for inspiration is Rage 2 if you can get it cheap. It's pretty fun and has a ton of cool looking structures :D. Great job on the watch tower
Fantastic build!
Thanks, Glad you liked it!
Great build 🧩
Thank you!
This came out amazing, and I learned some cool new techniques. Awesome video!
Thanks :)
This is a cool channel. Thanks for putting in the work.
I try :p Thanks for the comment!
Your channel definitely deserves more attention.
I'm getting there. It just takes time :p Thanks for the support!
@@hauntswargaming not a problem! I hope to see some maybe Fallout themed stuff one day! You got a talent for this post apoc stuff!
@@CawmeKrazee I do have a lot of post apocalyptic ideas that could fit the fallout theme whenever I get around to making them :p
@@hauntswargaming exciting! There is a full on Fallout Miniature Skirmish game! So if you ever want Fallout stuff for videos :eyes:
@@CawmeKrazee I'll check it out. I'm aware of it but I've never looked at the rules or anything. I want to do a post apocalyptic home brew narrative campaign at some point, but I'm not sure which game system I'm gonna use for it yet.
Really awesome stuff! Really resourceful.
Thank you :)
Damn man. I love building sci-fi terrain and after watching your last few terrain builds I think I'm going to tear most of mine down (their several years old) and completely redo them. Your details are amazing. The trash bags and tarps are great ideas and really done well. Spreading the scraps from the build around the edges really blows me away though. It's a combination of "wow that just really works" and "why the fuck have I never thought of that?"
Post apocalyptic builds are a lot of fun :p Glad to hear you found the techniques useful! Tarps/random fabrics are pretty much a terrain hack. They make everything look better.
Absolutely incredible build!!
Fantastic build mate 👍. I love it, the details are amazing. Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks man!
Very nice
Thanks :)
Really cool build man, always looking for more ideas and inspiration for my own builds. Deffo subbing, can wait to see more, also really enjoy the editing and humor, made me laugh a few times spesh when you drank the hot tea 😆
Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed it :p
Frickin AWESOME!!! 👍
Thanks man!
Absolutely amazing terrain build! This is very much like a post apocalyptic build and I love the materials that you used! Subbed!
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
Wow
Great work love the build!
Something you could try with the final completed shot is a wide far back shot showing the entire piece in frame.
Again love this build and will definitely have to try some of your techniques.
Thank you! And yea I should have taken more pics of the whole thing. I think I was having a hard time getting the whole thing in frame since it's so tall. I'll try and take some wider shots next time I do a Post Apocalyptic video. :P
amazing
Great work, really inspiring :) Thank you i am going to catch up on your chanel !
Thanks man! I appreciate the support! Glad to hear it's inspiring:p
🔥

Fantastic build!
