I've had a "functional & fixed" tow hook installed in the front of my C6, but I wish someone made one for rear. Your C5 is perfect for the rear mount! @@joshc1017 just getting a drill in there on the back side of the bumper, had to use a right angle drill and still very tight. The little tool for the rivnut didn't work so well but luckily the bracket pinched them and they tightened up.
Good video! I just received the Track Spec tow hooks, but after posting on Corvette Forums I got a few responses in favor of After Dark Racing tow hooks 🪝 Their kit seems to distribute load better on the framerail than the Track Spec kit. Do you think those two bolts on the VMS kit are adequate?
As long as the car still rolls, the tow hooks don’t see that much load during a tow or winching the car into the trailer. I’d be surprised if they failed.

What happened with yours? These haven't put these to the test yet.
