@@Marku912Every time I hear this I remember the foreshadowing at the end of future redeem.
When Lanz and Sena were talking about how they were going to miss each other it finally dawned on me what was going to happen. And that destroyed me
Same, I hadn’t considered that the end result of defeating Moebius was that the worlds would split, so when I realised that’s what was happening I was distraught
I thought they just meant that they all would be going their separate ways and not traveling together anymore. How wrong I was.
I too realized in that moment the lyrics and their scene destroyed me
Oh my god, same here. I cried a lot during that scene. I just want the DLC to release as soon as possible, so I can cry again.
Me too. I didn't cry throughout the whole game until this song started and I realized what was happening. I was bawling throughout the entire ending and for a good half hour afterwards
This song is actually about Takahashi rewriting the plot to Xenogears for the hundredth time in a row

It's beautiful how Takahashi's journey the past two decades with the Xeno series is actualised in Noah's final monologue in the base game, "Sometimes you might run astray, you'll stop, maybe cry out in frustration but you know that's alright, for the roads... they go on without end. So look up, face forward towards your chosen horizon and just- walk on."
Not only is the ending a message to all of humanity both within the fictitious story and our own reality to appreciate our lives, live within the moment and not be afraid of the future, but also through the story Takahashi is literally speaking to himself. He critiques how he has been reusing ideas from Perfect Works over and over again for Xenosaga and the Blade trilogy, creating his own "Endless Now", but now with the defeat of Z (a byproduct of humanities fear of the unknown) as an artist, he and his team can finally move on.
The Story DLC closes out the Klaus Saga (with presumably the true union of both worlds connecting everyone from 1, 2 & 3) and with XC4 and beyond, we're moving into completely new, unknown territory unbound by the laws of Perfect Works and judging by all the letters/interviews it has everyone at Monolith Soft excited for the future. XC3 is a true masterclass of a title. nothing short of a beautiful work of art. I truly love this game and this whole franchise man.
I’m with you bro, reading your post gave me a even more positive outlook on the game if that’s even possible. Fav series of all time and can’t wait to see what’s next! 🎉
i already loved the themes in this game especially but putting takahashi's mindset in perspective with those themes makes me appreciate them even more. whenever developers and writers do things like this it truly makes the final product a work of art.
That was a beautiful way to sum up the ending’s symbolism and the future of this series. Whatever Takahashi has planned next, I’m looking forward to what comes.
Reading this comment after Future Redeemed has been released is pretty funny. Some excellent points, but I don't think the conclusion is correct. Considering the motivations of the main antagonist of FR and also the now famous Radio Scene, I don't think the takeaway is that they will just turn their backs on Perfect Works and classic Xeno.
In fact, I think I will take the meta-narrative theorization one step further. As some might know, Soraya Saga tweeted a couple of months back "Hey, who wants me to write?". Now, go look up the lyrics for the ending theme of Future Redeemed (Future Awaits). Read them as if they were Takahashi's words to Soraya Saga. Am I massively huffing on hopium and copium? Definitely. Am I crazy? Maybe. All I'm saying is, it's not impossible.
@@xenohead9513 Never said they were turning their backs on Perfect Works only moving on from reusing it's framework. The radio scene strongly implies they will be connecting some loose ends across Xeno in order to tell a wholly original story for the next saga, an untold story Perfect Works was never able to tell.
Also, lord you don't understand how badly I want Soraya to return and co-write the next saga, the dynamic duo between Takahashi and his wife is straight up unparalleled. I would do ANYTHING to make it happen dawg. When you consider Blade 1 was originally supposed to be outside the mythos of Xeno before Iwata stepped it, it makes sense why she didn't return.
Since he already started the Klaus trilogy without her, it only made sense to solo it. Now though? The time couldn't be any more perfect for her return. If she does, I have no qualms saying the next saga will top the Klaus Trilogy with ease and hell become a FKN piece of art just like Gears. AHHH the games will be on the next Nintendo console too, why did you tell me she tweeted that? Now I FKN NEED IT.
Quick thing I want to point out:
When the worlds split again, you can see that Mio’s flute is still with Noah.
The worlds will come together again, through the magnetic attraction created by Klaus’ experiment.
They will walk together again.
They were once one world after all.
Yeah, the characters keep stating this during the ending sequence. Their final words to each other is that they’ll see each other again.
Yes but as explained by Eunie, everything that isn't originated from the same world "won't last". So Noah's flute disappeared.
To be fair, we still don't know if the attraction of the worlds is due to Klaus, the absence of the conduit or just a natural phenomenon from what I know. That would also imply Klaus tried to kill them all LMAO.
I hope too they will meet again someday though.
insert Alvis ending quote here
@@kyurei4478 I think its just a natural phenomena that resulted from Klaus’s experiment splitting the world into two different worlds, since they were originally one world, I think it’s natural that eventually they’d be drawn back together.

One word description of that whole sequence: Bittersweet.
The long explanation:
The thing that got me was a culmination of many things:
Lanz playing it as cool as possible for Sena's sake
Eunie's never ending trollfest
Mio and Noah's moment
Monado Rex, Poppi, and the photo of XC2's party (Chad Rex)
The party running towards eachother no matter how futile it is
Riku and Manana's faces
Tiaon falling to his knees as the cliff grew bigger
"I promise"
Basically everything
I did not notice taion on his knees until like the 3rd or 4th time watching it. The thing I love about taion is how he tries not to show emotion but little moments like that show how much our boi cares
I never noticed Taion falling to his knees the first couple times. Broke me when I did.
And to think everything started with a proposal script for Final Fantasy VII, barely 25 years ago…
Thank you, all of you!
If Xenogears became Final Fantasy VII, then the Final Fantasy VII we all know & love wouldn’t exist. And worse, Xenoblade wouldn’t exist either. Which would mean Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Shulk, Fiora, Melia, Rex, Pyra, Mythra, Nia, Noah, Mio, & many beloved characters wouldn’t exist today. I’m so glad Square Soft rejected the original proposal of FFVII because we now live in a world we got FFVII & the Xenoblade Series. The 1-2 punch of discovering Rex’s “I love you… and all you guys” was actually a statement of intent followed by realizing this game was doing the Kingdom Hearts 1 ending but even sadder absolutely destroyed me. I was laughing like crazy one minute then on the verge of crying the next. What a game.
Funny you make the Kingdom Hearts comparison because both endings of the land between partners drifting apart *also* both lead to both parties forgetting about each other (except for deep within their hearts!)
The Origin reboot for XC3 and Chain of Memories for KH (i know that's a sequel and not actually the ending of 1 but i think it's neat how far that parallel coincidently goes)
It's always fun to be a victim of Takahashi's genius. Even when you're blinded by your own tears at the end of yet another adventure.
4:38 “this goodbye is not the end” it better the heck not be the end I wanna see these guys in the dlc
Yeah I really hope that the dlc is the true joined world where things are natural and everyone can meet again. It’s also implied that Rex and maybe Shulk’s gangs are alive before Moebius messed with everything because of what Nia says to the picture at the end.
@@poogiekoko shulk is definitely alive since we know the endings of XC1 and 2 happened at the same time. if rex is around, shulk most certainly is

Lyrics:
I assumed our time was forever.
Naturally, seemed forever.
Those happy days we spent together.
'Cause you were always beside me.
Then suddenly I realized these happy days won't ever last.
Out of all the souls we greet in fact how we met was a miracle.
I see you peacefully, you're in your dreams.
Everything seems calm and free.
I know if we want this warmth to last forever again let's go back to that moment of day.
As time goes by and we all change.
And not just us, the world keeps changing.
But little did I know that this was coming.
'Cause you were there always smiling.
I wonder how you'll be in the future.
I wouldn't know it's hard to figure.
But by accepting this feeling inside will eventually create a miracle.
I see you smiling there so peacefully.
And cheerfully I see you talk at me.
These happy days must carry on.
So once again let's go back to that day to where we met hand in hand.
I see you peacefully, you're in your dreams.
Everything seems calm and free.
I know if we want this warmth to last forever again let's go back to that moment of day.
I see you smiling there so peacefully.
And cheerfully talking at me.
These happy days must carry on.
So once again let's go back to the start.
This goodbye is not the end.
I know until we meet again
Our feelings will remain the same.
Together as one 'til we find ourselves again.

@@hjt091 He is 15 in XC2 proper. The photo is likely around 5 years after the game's main story based on how the characters look.
When I saw her pop out of the machine (which I noticed looked a lot like Tora’s shield) I immediately screamed “POPPI!!!” I was so happy to see her. I’m glad Tora got a bit of a cameo in a flashback
This was like the best relationship in Xenoblade imo. Mio has way more layers than Fiora (sorry fiora it's true), and Rex lacked the maturity to have something like this since he was still a kid.
i felt the same way bro, when the prison scene was my fave in the game
Counting the story to go with it, this was the perfect ending. One with a sad but in a way happy ending.
I like fiora but lets be honest, Melia would be the better choice for Shulk. She got more character development and is even in XC3 now.
Yeah it’s not that I don’t like Fiora, she’s just not as remarkable as the rest of the xc1 cast.
I agree wholeheartedly. Yet personally, I love Fiora. But I do agree that she was pretty one-dimensional. I would've loved Future Connected to show a little more of her later, but alas we only got an image or two of her in the credits. Fiora could've really used something extra too, like, at least show what Shulk and her are up to at that point in time.
And on Rex... if you've heard this song in the cutscene it's supposed to be in, then you know what I wanna say. But in XC2 itself? Ohh yes you are 100% right.
Truly was the Xenoblade Chronicles.

I've never played Elden Ring and I'm sure it's amazing, but damn, did this game feel ROBBED at that Awards show!
Alvis: "I see it. one day, all life will walk towards the future together. Hand in Hand."
Probably the best game of 2022 tbh so far. I regret not giving this series any attention until now but I am so happy I played this game. One of my favorite games of all time tbh.
Play all the games 1,2 and torna as they are all interconnected.
Elden Ring is a much better videogame imo so it's still got my vote. Xenoblade games have always had really interesting worlds with crazy plot twists about their origins, but this one fell completely flat on that front, so it's knocked down quite a few points for me. Gameplay too was great, but there were just so many little things that piled up to make it ultimately not my favorite. Money is absolutely useless, the collectopedia and collectibles feel completely neutered and might as well not even exist, gems are utterly boring farm fests and constantly checking to see if you have materials for any new ones, classes punish you for playing what you like since it's more effective to switch off once you hit level 10 so you constantly have to change up your party (which was fun in its own right, but I didn't like the lack of freedom that I felt), chain attacks are laborious and aren't as satisfying or tactical as 1's nor as bombastic and complex as 2's, having no way to fill in the map except by huffing it on foot was annoying especially in Erythia Sea, combat starts to simplify into just mashing fusion arts as often as you can and switching between every character to constantly use everything they have because saving things for the right moment isn't as effective as just facerolling every single fight while dropping a thousand healing zones and Interlinking any time you're about to die, among other things. The gameplay was definitely amazing, don't get me wrong, but there were definitely things that stuck in my craw and I wish weren't in the game at all or just had more substance to them. Not to mention the absolute joke that is chapter 6 and 7. After the emotional roller coaster of chapter 5, we get the most boring, uninspired, and tiny snow level in the whole series, a throwaway side quest that's mandatory for some reason, the Cloudkeep turns out to just be an invisible house cube just sitting randomly off the edge of a cliff, we get an exposition dump that basically says "yeah the world just is this way because it is, no particular reason at all", and then we're saddled with a fetch quest to pick up pieces of metal that for some reason we couldn't find before even though we've been to all of those places before. Oh yeah, and then to cap that off we bring back yet ANOTHER character we were told was dead only to then kill them off right after that too. Then chapter 7 is just a big-ass hallway leading to a fight with most uninteresting villain I have ever seen in any videogame ever. Even the giant robot fight fell flat because there was really no reason for it to be happening other than that the writers wanted a mecha scene cuz it's a Xeno game. Everything up to and including chapter 5 was great, like tear-jerking great, and the very final scene also made me cry, but yeesh, there are a lot of doodoos crammed into the final portion of this game.
Elden Ring, on the other hand, literally never annoyed me a single time. I genuinely have zero complaints about that game, it was completely engaging the entire time, and I just wanted more by the time it was done, so it's 100% GotY for me.
@@Tohlemiach thats coo homie. anyways i loveeee xenoblade
@@Tohlemiach I think elden ring/souls in general probably has the best gameplay of any game I've played. But in terms of stories and characters xenoblade is my favorite.
Elden Ring , HFW and GoW might have something to say bout that
I love the main theme of Xenoblade being that the uncertainty of the future is scary, but you just have to keep facing it.
There will probably never be anything that strikes my heart as much as Xeno does. I just don't understand why everything hits so personally and manages to completely pick me apart. It's like a drug, these games allow me to let out all my feelings good and bad and just express everything I have bottled up.
I'm genuinely distraught that I'll never make anything that can touch as many people's hearts as Monolith has. The Xeno series is one of the most important things in my life and I don't care how people think that sounds.
It's devastating that I'll never get to play any of these games for the first time again but I'm blessed to have been able to even play them that first beautiful time. If you love these games I love you and I hope the best of you in life forever. Whatever it is you want I hope you find happiness and peace in a world that allows you to choose for yourself.
What about Enel?
I think part of it is just the brilliant writing. The xenoblade games are some of the most philosophical games I've ever played, and they do so with so much tact. Combine this with relatable and well-written characters as well as the OST and you get a truly unique experience. They really make you think about your own life and reconsider yourself. I totally get what you mean when you say they're some of the most important things in your life.

This game broke me more than any other xenoblade game
Yeah, with all the other games they had a "your love interest will die, but hey we can bring them back and make the main character happy" with Fiora getting her body back through that one device of which I don't remember where it was found or who worked on it and with Pneuma returning with the touch of the core crystal. This one just simply shows them being separated with no way to currently see one another again and it gives you the bitter sweet sadness but at the same time that weird sensation that yeah they will see each other again, but who knows if we will get a chance to see it. So I say this game definitely hit the nail dead on for the story and the character's relations.
@@TorchicEX at the very end, it seems to show them back to their childhood but without the time limit and Noah hears a flute playing the Agnus melody, I personally believe that was Mio and they lived happily ever after
@@ChrisJohnstonVA I think that that's absolutely the implication they were going for with that yeah, since the one "flaw" in the way Aionios worked as a world was that no matter what Noah and Mio would meet and fall in love, so it makes sense that it would happen for real this time
@@ChrisJohnstonVA that could be him hearing things tho, the last time you save mio talks about forgetting about how noah looks, if they went back then there would be no reason she would forget.
@@geezus7833 who can say, really? I hope the DLC expands on what happens after or something
It took me 75 hours within 9 days. I enjoyed all of it. Lmao my parents might be mad at me for ‘wasting’ 9 days of my summer break, but im totally fine with it. Absolute masterpiece.
You definitely somehow managed to put the main story on pause enough for sidequests…lemme guess, affinity 5 in the city for FastWalk? I just couldnt hold myself and went on for the finale and got it in 70hr >_
@@Luc_ienn 5 hours were for the 2 postgame hero quests if you know what I mean. So yeah actually its somewhere around 70 hours for me too! I did do a lot of sidequests tho
time enjoyed isn't time wasted!
i finished mine in 60 hrs lol. but i managed to almost all the heroes except the assasin robot hero
@@mr.leroysmith7012 around the point when we first meet the Annihilator, I did get immediate flashbacks to 1 and 2 wrt missing sidequests so I ran and tried to up some affinity then. I’d likely have finished this game a lot shorter than how long it did take me. Tbh reviewers calling this game a 100+ hour endeavor felt a little weird, it’s definitely the shortest Xenoblade to beat
What an amazing story. I understand that what did not click with many was that it did not give all the details about things, but it is meant to be an exercise of association and reading between the lines, for there is so much symbolism and big background things that build the world
[spoilers]
Meobius was mankind's self-sabotage, the demonic personification of fear and ego. The lesson of the ending is not about killing your ego, but purifying it and embracing it as a part of you. That is why N's "wrong" decision was also okay, because he represents the most primitive part of the self that wants to strongly survive and preserve what is most precious to him, and then understanding came from his higher self (player Noah), and as they got to be an entire being again he got purified and with M could get to return to and purify the collective personified entity Moebius through what they learned
(Or something like that... this game's philosophy, psychology, and even spirituality is a BIG ESSAY)
It gave all the details. Rather blunty too. Most people just don’t pay attention to everything first time through
Eh, from the top of my head the problems with XC3 story are:
1. Not enough involvement from XC1/XC2 cast.
2. Johann arc was predictable and not really interesting. Didn't have any reason to go back to being good and save the cast.
3. A villain with barely any involvement in the story, no motivation other than being the representation of people's desire which doesn't even explain why he's so powerful (At least Jin, Malos and Zanza power scale made sense).
4. Since Aionios is not a real world, everything was undone by the end of the game, as if everything that we went through didn't happened at all since possibly both worlds got unfused (doesn't mather if they co-exist now as different planets or went back to being completely separated).
5. Visiting and releasing Colonies from the Moebius was a rinse & repeat each time. They tried to mix things up a little, but it was repetitive.
6. The Nia and Melia's sidequest shouldn't have been left to the post-game at all.
7. The Moebius idea was wasted since they weren't relevant characters at all. Sure they were there as antagonists, but none of them really had any relevance compared to Dickson or the Torna gang. They were basically nobodies.
(Be free to kindly reply. My criticism may sound harsh and unjustified but the game did leave a sour taste to me).
Well said. I don't think it's bad to have a narrative that leaves things up to interpretation in some ways. This game's themes are so rooted in the narrative focus itself and I love that about it. They feel like a bigger part of it because the whole game is about what it means to live and eventually die, and dealing with the struggles of it. It's a concept that's been done plenty of times before but I feel this game handled it beautifully.
@@Samuelkuchle i agree with all of your criticisms, but for me I still absolutely love the game. Reading fan theories helped me realize there are more answers to our questions in sidequests and by replaying…again I agree but if you look at it as a stand alone game it makes it easier to see how wonderful its best aspects are, and it truly makes for an incredible game.
@@chrishooker3710 Yeah, that's true. I've been reading on Reddit about the sidequests stuff and that's sure very interesting details there.
As a stand alone I think it's alright. Solid 8/10 game.
Well, here we are everyone. The Klaus saga ends soon. We’ll have to move on, and find new things.
But this is somewhere we’ll belong. In the memories, an Ouroboros, feeding off these memories. That may feel Moebius, but as long we keep walking on, the spirit of the future will stay with us.
"We’ll have to move on, and find new things."
Spotted somebody that definetively isn't a Moebius!
“This goodbye is not the end, I know until we meet again”. The party saying their final goodbyes as they desperately run towards each other only to be separated by a cliff promising that they will see each other again one day. I really hope in the new story scenario that comes in the dlc isn’t about the past like torna (though I have hunch it will be about the original founders) but rather about the future, will they meet again? Noah and mio’s fates were intertwined with each other, no matter how many times they were reincarnated they were always together and to have the final outcome them never seeing each other again feels so bitter sweet, they had the choice to keep things the same and stay together forever but they chose what was best. I don’t like the idea of the heroes being punished for doing the right thing unless somewhere way in the future it does pay off (like how Adam sealed away pyra/Mythra but they end up meeting Rex and it ends up being a good thing). The lyrics themselves hint towards this not being the end for the characters that there is a future where they’ll meet again, I really hope we get to see that future
need a future dlc. it would be thematically consistent
Hopefully the DLC main story will tackle the future and the Hero quests will be about the past. Like BOTW
Actually, I think the rewriting of both worlds instead merged them together. My only evidence for this being the Post-credits cutscene where young Noah hears what is apparently Mio playing both the Kevesi and Agnian of-seeing tunes.
I'm not crying, you're crying!
I am 😭
Ok first and foremost can we give a round of applause for Sara Weeda for doing such an amazing job with the vocals for both this and A Step Away.
Going back and listening to these lyrics I realize that they’re right. At least for me I didn’t realize what was gonna happen because everyone was smiling until they started to say goodbye. I had thought(naively) that now everything could go back to normal(which it technically did) and everyone could live a happy life. Also the part where it says “If we want this warmth to last, forever again let’s go back to that moment of day” felt a bit like how everyone started to wish a bit for the endless now because then they could spend together with the ones they love or at least that was my interpretation or a call out to the audience about how this story can’t go on forever and needs to end eventually.
The ending of Xenoblade 3 is the only in thing in my life that has ever made me cry out of sadness and smile from happiness at the exact same time
After about 165+ hours of playtime, I can officially say with the utmost confidence that this game is my new favorite in the series. And that's saying a lot, considering that I held Xenoblade 1 in rather high regards for being my favorite JRPG ever played. Xenoblade 2 was fantastic as well, but there were some things holding it back from me loving it as much as the first game. But Xenoblade 3...just clicked with me in all the right ways.
A dark and mature story that always kept me on the edge of my seat, and with moments that made me laugh and cry more times than I can count. A well-rounded cast of characters that feels really human with fun dynamics and wholesome chemistry. A world the mixes the ones in the first two games that creates gorgeous locales that are both familiar and new at the same time. The voice acting is a huge improvement in comparison to the second game.
The sidequests are probably my favorites in the series next to X and Torna. They offer so much world-building and lore with tons of quirky NPCs and likeable Heroes that join your party. And I can't forget about the the incredible soundtrack that houses some really bombastic battle themes and peaceful/ambient area themes. And I love how the flute is a major part of the music, much like how it's an major character trait for Noah and Mio as off-seers. And a complex/fun combat system that adds the best parts of the gameplay from 1, 2, and even X to some degree.
Between this and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, it'll be hard for me to say which is GOTY material for me. On top of other exciting Switch games coming out soon like Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
I’d still say 1 had the best plot and my favorite soundtrack but damn, 3 was so so good in so many places. Can’t wait for the dlc
@@brycecartwright2403 Xenoblade 1 had a great plot, but man...I'm glad to have played a JRPG where the protagonist(s) don't hog up the spotlight for about 70-80% of the story like the first game does, and lets the other main characters have their fair share of screentime.
Xenoblade 3 has probably spoiled me on what I expect from future JRPGs in terms of characters.
@@The_Admiral_Angel hard agree, I loved all of the main characters and even most of the side characters and heros
This game ends with such a powerful theme. We literally defeat moebius who created suffering for everyone from their desire for the endless now. Yet we the player, find ourselves wanting Noah, Mio, Lanz, Sena, Eunie, Taion and the pons to stay together forever - thus we become the thing we swore to destroy, moebius craving the endless now.
Bravo
When they started running towards each other... they didn't have to be so cruel T.T
All of these 6 characters are some of the best we have ever had in any JRPG ever. Brimming with personallity, each one standing out so much. I love this game man...
now the wait for the dlc story.... god im hoping either its going to show what happened to the cast of 1 and 2 in between the events of those games and 3 or if its going to be about the gang in 3 finally being able to be together either way Im sure I will ball my eyes out I cant wait.
Plot Twist:
Its a continution of XCX
I'm hoping for the former, and then we get the latter in the next Xenoblade game :)
There seems to be a lot of hints that the story dlc may be an epilogue. I feel like we really don't need a prequel dlc like Torna from XC2 as most big question we had were answered in game. The way they made the ending seems like they want to expand on it in the future.
I hope for the latter, though a part of me has this fear inside me that it's gonna be about the first ouroboros
I am also hoping for one of these. Or perhaps a mix of N and M back when everything first happened where we got access to all the founders, being sorta similar to the former idea but through some different perspectives along with some of the original casts perspectives. I only say that because unless I am wrong weren't the original founders supposed to be like Shulk, Fiora (represented as Dunban), Pneuma, Rex (represented as Zeke considering I think they said the statue had an eyepatch but only because they couldn't show Rex and chose Zeke for some story reason that I don't quite remember) with N and M? Please correct me if I am wrong because I would love some clarification.
That last scene with this song playing ? Pure evil. Oh Monolith how you hurt me, I'm crying again just remembering them running.
I like to imagine xenoblade chronicles 3 is one of the only games where the characters are happy you hit new game.
When they started running towards each other, the floodgates were destroyed.
Probably my favorite insert song in all of Xenoblade, and that's seriously saying a lot.
In terms of lyrical songs Xenoblade is absolutely stacked. I will always be a Drifting Souls stand, not to mention One Last You bring a gut punch at the end kf Xenoblade 2. But Xenoblade 3 isn't slacking either, between One Step Away and Where We Belong, the composer is a mad man.
For me it's either drifting souls or a moment of eternity.
To this day no game or movie book, anything. Has made me feel this much emotion at the ending as Xenoblade Chronicles 3 I plan to reply to this comment if that changes.

I was already crying my fucking eyes out at the bittersweet ending, but then I started bawling even more when the game panned back to all the heroes gathered together, with, Triton nowhere to be found. He was definitely my favorite hero, so to realize he was nowhere to be found in the group due to being a Moebius, hurt.
I like to imagine after the final fight, he went back to Michaba's Canteen, drunk his weight in alcohol, and went out in a blaze of glory fighting the strongest of the unique monsters across Aionios. A fitting end for a Man o' The Sea.
Xenoblade never fails to make me cry
Not a "7 founders" DLC please Monolith.
We have a promise to keep.

the ending to xenoblade 3, without fail, makes me cry like a baby EVERY TIME i see it, and the song gets me feeling emotional. Xenoblade 3 is truly a master in it's craft.
I just realized something crazy. The song ends on an unresolved note, it sounds incomplete and you need something to ground it and resolve the musical phrase. The fact that it ends here shows that the story isn't done, that one day Noah and Mio will find each other again
Man, I cry extremely rarely. I still get the urge to cry when I hear this. Lasting impact.

Phenomenal.
This game's story was by far the most beautiful story in any game I have ever played. The ending was a real gut punch to me, it was also the first game to ever make me cry, and Mass effect 3 hardly managed that. I really felt like I could connect with the protagonists, especially Noah and Mio. Watching them say their goodbyes and then running towards each other, seeing Noah and Mio kiss, seeing all the Heroes from both Keves and Agnus, heck even watching Riku and Manana holding each other, crying, then there is also Melia unveiling Monado REX, and Nia reuniting with Poppi and seeing the photo of the party from Xenoblade 2, it all was a massive gut punch and kick in the teeth. This is what a developer can achieve with the right skill, experience, passion and mindset. They can achieve something amazing and extraordinary. This is definitely one of my top ten games of all time, maybe even top five. And Monolith Soft are now one of my favorite developers. Keep up the amazing work.

If i was able to i would erase the memory of me finishing this game so i could experience it all over again. I have never had so much emotion in a not just a game, but a franchise in my entire life! I just beat Xenoblade Chronicles 3, & man what a masterpiece of a game! That ending hit me so hard that I had some tears in my eyes. Haven’t felt like this since 2 years ago when I beat Persona 3. It was a bittersweet ending, & I loved it! 😭
I’ve been a Xenoblade fan since 2017 with Xenoblade 2 as my first in the series, & I loved it was interested in the Xenoblade Series going forward. Then I played Xenoblade 1 Definitive Edition in 2020 for the first time & I liked it a lot. I will admit that I wasn’t a big fan of the combat, I thought it was kinda boring but everything else about the game was great. So when Xenoblade 3 got announced back in February, I was pretty darn excited & the Xenoblade 3 Direct in June made me even more excited! I got my copy of Xenoblade 3 on Day 1 & played it almost everyday. And I gotta say, I knew Xenoblade 3 was gonna be great but it far exceeded my expectations since I quickly ended up loving a lot of it! Such as the combat system (which is the best combat in the Xenoblade Series in my opinion), the awesome Class System, the amazing storytelling, a great cast of characters (though the villains were meh down were cool like N, M, D, & J), the incredible world design & exploration, the lit music, & the stunning art style. I do have my nitpicks & issues every now & then but they didn’t ruin my experience much since I just kept on loving it more as I played everyday.
Overall & I’ll just say it, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a masterpiece & one of the best games I’ve ever played! With how much I loved it, Xenoblade 3 is now one of my favorite games ever, easily in my Top 5! And it’s my favorite Xenoblade game, as well as my 2022 GOTY. This felt like a special game from start to finish & I haven’t felt this way since Persona 5 Royal. I’m sad that my journey with Xenoblade 3 ended, but it was an incredible one & I’ll never forget it. Someday I’ll revisit this game down the line. Thank you Monolith Soft for making this masterpiece, & I look forward to the DLC Story!
UPDATE: I completed Xenoblade 3 last night by putting another 40 hours, which is now at over 180 hours of playtime! I did everything, including the post-game stuff, & I’m happy to say that Xenoblade 3 is my new favorite game of all-time! This was an incredible journey & I’ll never forget it! 😭
