Hey brother, I just watched your video of you telling your story. Your drumming style and technique by far the best I've ever seen, but hearing your story really hit home with me. I am a drummer as well, and I also suffer from depression. I am currently dealing with 2 injuries that could possibly keep me from playing for the rest of my life, so that adds to my depression. But watching your videos and hearing your story inspires me to keep pushing myself to do better and improve everyday, regardless of what the future hold in store for me. Everything happens for a reason, so thank you for sharing your story with all of us. I really did make a difference for me and other as well I'm sure. Thanks again.
I'm just your average Joe here but I wanted to thank you for sharing the but that you did. I can understand that depression too.. I've been dealing with that a lot lately and a few years ago I had a random injury that caused me from being a very strong and in great shape man to a very weak and depressed person. I love feeling strong and practicing MMA but I can no longer do that anymore... Just never hang your head low my brother. You make sure that you make the most of what you have and be grateful for all the things in life whether that's good and bad. God bless you friend

@@AlEx-gd8cs well, if you have working eyes and ears, you would know that this is for real, all you have to do is look at his movements and match it up to the audio, very simple actually.
So basically this guy is like one of the best drummers alive.
He himself said in a podcast that he doesn't believe that. He's met numerous pro drummers and he may be top of the class techanically (because of the insane practice) but he's known many who, for him, are musically unreachable. Musicality behind a drumset is not something you practice, it's inner talent. But he says he still practices and tries to learn from the best.

Lol, it’s so true, he did a video of his backstory, basically practiced drumming every day since 12, not to be a in a band, but just to get better at drums. Then went to college to study other stuff, but played drums for money, and was expelled for missing too many classes because he was drumming. It all worked out tho!

I've had reconstruction of both feet and can barely walk now. I stare at my drumset in my living room daily. I'm beyond depressed been alot of death around me and it doesn't stop. I barely listen to music anymore. I'm crushed!! I used to play Christian rock in my ch7rch Jesus is my only light in this insanity. You are awesome to watch Dude.❤😊

I dont work in software engineering but i do work on providing technology solutions. Our company has been pushing agile for years and all of us scoft at it because we never saw the value in it. If anything, it flattened the management structure which in turn put more responsibility on us to deliver. Now we are managers, team leaders and technical SME's

But i think there is value in stripping down a drum line to let the rest of the song breathe. There’s a reason people praise even terrible drummers like Lars Ulrich, because the emphasis should always be on the songwriting over everything else.
Probably the most impressive AND coolest drum performance I've ever seen in my 36 years of life. The skills are top tier, attitude is bad ass, flair is creative and flashy af. What's there not to love?
