The most impressive about the Eloy's technique is that he can play for 1 hour straight without lose the speed and the precision. THE MAN IS A MONSTER !!!!!!!!

I play drums too (far, far, even further, far away of being as nearly good as these guys) but I can play a 2hrs gig without loosing speed and precision. And I don't talk about playing doom metal, where you hit the kick and then wait a week to hit the snare. But not talking about slipknot lightspeed tracks either

Eloy played when he was 16 years old with Andre Matos, which was the former vocalist of Angra, another metal band from Brazil. Eloy comments that in some of his COVID-19 quarantine videos, were he tells his story since the beggining. I’ve see so many drum videos of him and he needs to be in the drummer hall of fame period!!’ Speed and power plus precision , think about it Brazilian percussions are no joke, deeply rooted in samba, jazz just like he mentioned so not only is he precise but his ability to to use his body isolating limbs with ease due to his background in jazz and Brazilian percussion!!! He’s a national treasure I think!!
Eloy got my total respect and admiration when he played flawlessly Phil Collins! A completely different and complex genre and he simply nailed it! Even he honoured his dad! A total Class Act!
As someone with not a shred of musical talent, I am always blown away when I watch talented drummers like you and Eloy. The neuromuscular coordination it takes to play the drums like this is insane, to say nothing of the strength and endurance. Realmente Marlon, ele pulou essa parte da história do Eloy, ele não ficou parado e “Do Nada” foi parar no Sepultura. Antes gravou com o Saudoso André Matos.
Eloy is absolutely awesome and deserves the praise! What he done with Sepultra since his joining in 2011 has been otherworldy, and as much as I loved Jean I think it was a big upgrade for the band to have Eloy join their ranks.
There is a gap in Eloy's history here. Before he joins Sepultura, he was kindly invited to join Andre Matos' solo band and record the album "Time to be Free" with him. By that time, he became more popular amongst metal heads across the globe, traveled around the world with the band and got more notoriety with other drummers. After touring with Andre Matos is when Eloy became part of Sepultura family and became an even bigger drummer. I totally recommend people to listen to Time to be Free from Andre Matos so you will know a different Eloy

Incredible precision for a SINGLE bass. The 'skins' response time has a very finite limit to react and contract, yet some how he crushes 'the space between the notes',for a super clean double beat,...as for the rest of the kit, God!. Awesome.-Thx

First of all, congratulations on this video. I've met Eloy back in 2012 while Sepultura was on tour in Greece and we had some beers. Very humble and low profile person. All of Seputlura members are real humans down to earth. I would like to see a reaction on George Kollias :) I'm sure you know him, he is a fellow Greek that has great career on metal world and his speed is compared to yours (now in 2022) where you've evolved so much. Eloy is such a beast of a drummer Ive seen him live with Sepultura and it was amazing I was a fan of Igor and couldnt believe how much better those songs sounded live with Eloy on the drums. Thats exceptional situation when you compare it with some other cases like Slayer after Lombardo etc.

As someone with not a shred of musical talent, I am always blown away when I watch talented drummers like you and Eloy. The neuromuscular coordination it takes to play the drums like this is insane, to say nothing of the strength and endurance. I love your videos, and especially appreciate how the mutual admiration within the community seems to flow.
I first heard Sepultra in grade school, and loved "Ratama"... You know it! I stopped for awhile, but seeing this, and on Drumeo recently, whoa what a drummer!

Uma informação que talvez seja pertinente pra você é que, quando ele tinha apenas 17 anos, Casagrande foi baterista do ilustre Andre Matos, e além de fazer vários shows, chegou a gravar um CD com nosso saudoso maestro do metal. Considero esta uma etapa muito preciosa na carreira de Eloy Casagrande.
Realmente Marlon, ele pulou essa parte da história do Eloy, ele não ficou parado e “Do Nada” foi parar no Sepultura. Antes gravou com o Saudoso André Matos.
E fazia parte da saudosa banda Gloria também.
Eloy is absolutely awesome and deserves the praise! What he done with Sepultra since his joining in 2011 has been otherworldy, and as much as I loved Jean I think it was a big upgrade for the band to have Eloy join their ranks.

There is a gap in Eloy's history here. Before he joins Sepultura, he was kindly invited to join Andre Matos' solo band and record the album "Time to be Free" with him. By that time, he became more popular amongst metal heads across the globe, traveled around the world with the band and got more notoriety with other drummers. After touring with Andre Matos is when Eloy became part of Sepultura family and became an even bigger drummer. I totally recommend people to listen to Time to be Free from Andre Matos so you will know a different Eloy

Incredible precision for a SINGLE bass. The 'skins' response time has a very finite limit to react and contract, yet some how he crushes 'the space between the notes',for a super clean double beat,...as for the rest of the kit, God!. Awesome.-Thx

First of all, congratulations on this video. I've met Eloy back in 2012 while Sepultura was on tour in Greece and we had some beers. Very humble and low profile person. All of Seputlura members are real humans down to earth. I would like to see a reaction on George Kollias :) I'm sure you know him, he is a fellow Greek that has great career on metal world and his speed is compared to yours (now in 2022) where you've evolved so much. Eloy is such a beast of a drummer Ive seen him live with Sepultura and it was amazing I was a fan of Igor and couldnt believe how much better those songs sounded live with Eloy on the drums.
Thats exceptional situation when you compare it with some other cases like Slayer after Lombardo etc.
