I recomend you to look into the work of Cesar Zuiderwijk, Drummer of Golden Earing. He does some realy classy solo's on Radar Love(sadly I cant find a true drum-cam of it) and there are some masterclass solo's floating around on CZcams. Very underrated sadly but he's an icon of his time.

Junna is now in HAGANE ( the Band Reborn) she's a famous Drummer in Japan ( was in band call trident). She's not the only one. They're is a lot of incredible talented drummer in Japan : HARUNA ( Lovebites) Akané ( Band Maid) Murata Tamu ( Nemophila), NATSUMI ( BRIDEAR) Marina ( Aldious) NAO (Maximum the hormone) and many mores.

Junna is the former drummer of the Japanese band called "TriDENT" (left the band in 2020) formerly known as Girls Rock Band Kakumei. She was on Canada tour with "FATE GEAR". She is 24 (some people mean 27?) years old and started in the age of 15 to play drums. AND YES SHE IS AMAZING!
After 9 years of playing Drums she‘s able to play like THAT? God, I’m so bad. I do play Drums since 1993 (I was 15 back then) till today, and I‘m by far not THAT good, BY FAR! 🥴😂 Thx for the info, Philipp 👋

Junna is the most lovable drummer ever. I honestly consider her one of the top power drummers out there today. She just joined a band called Hagane. She is 27 today. I grew up with a great drummer too! At the age of 4, he got his first drum kit, because my parents were tired of him using all the pots and pans. My younger brother was incredible from the get go! His bedroom was padded with carpet underlayer foam, my bedroom was next to his, and i tell you, his drumming was soooo great that i never tired of it!
This girl reminds me of him when he was young, around 8 or 9, and he would express the same facial expressions lol!

Maybe it’s just the isolated mix that makes it obvious, but anybody who thought she wasn’t actually playing the part is deaf and/or blind.
It sure seems like she is, but I'm also like: where are the mics? It sounds too dry and clean to be some mics off camera, it sounds close miked.

Other drummers I recommend are Senri Kawaguchi (The Jazz Avengers), Haruna (Lovebites), Akane Hirose (Band-Maid), Tamu Murata (Nemophila) and Kanade Sato (Muses, Koiai).
I second Akane for sure. The chops of that whole band are awesome. Definitely check out Band-Maid
Tamu Mutata is my favorite. Chika from Hanabie and Nao from Maximum the Hormone are also great.
Roni Kaspi is super good too. Her new pop stuff doesn't showcase it, but her jazz drumming is mega
Nagisa who took over for Junna in Trident is also a beast.
