This is SO COOL!!!!!!!!
They did an excellent job, and they got so much use out of it.
Y’all did a beautiful job on your van! Such a lovely home for Philly, too ❤️ 🐾
Thank you so much!
Nice and simple, would make a good rental van.
Personally, I would not sink money in a new van these days with electric coming so I purchased an old larger rv with a decent ford engine, more room, more comfort once i am done remodeling/fixing , all for way less $ and way less complexity when it comes to repairs.
Fair enough!
👍
Thanks for checking in.
That's a great home you have built, congratulations. One question I have regarding dogs and national parks in the US. I wanted to make an extended tour with my dog, mainly visiting national parks, national monuments and state parks. Then I heard that dogs, even on leash, aren't allowed in national parks, is that true? And if yes, how do you handle this? Where I live, national parks are open to dogs, they just have to be kept on leash.
It varies from place to place so it’s always good to check with them or on their website first before booking a trip there you he wouldn’t want to be surprised and asked to leave
Great build! I am about the same size as Rourk and building my own van right outside of Philly right now. Any chance you guys could tell me what the dimensions of the shower is? I was thinking 25x30 for Mine would be good but don’t want to waste any space
I believe their shower is the 25 x 30. There is additional information in the video description that might be helpful.
👍 👍 👍
Thanks, Kay
Nice job! I’m curious do you break the bed down every day or is it something you get tired of and just leave it made up?
Well, that’s a really good question. My guess is that they would break it down every night because that’s only like living space unless they swivel the front chairs.
I see a lot of full timers switch to a fixed bed that’s why I’m curious.
Betcha they leave it down. I have a Solis van with a Murphy bed and I'm one of the few on the FB page that puts it up.
Sorry a hard watch, nice van
Can you tell me why it was hard to watch so can understand what the challenge was?
8 months of teaching in europe
Oh wow that’ll be perfect
Van life has become convenient because of renewable energy and gadgets/devices that can utilize it.
Absolutely
You leave your house empty for 2 months?
Some teachers have apartments in the city and they rent them out in the summer when they’re out traveling
Why build another van if you'd build it the exact same way?
Because if they’re not gonna be using it for the next couple years while they’re buying a house, what’s the sense of having it sit around and they may need some of the money for the down payment in the house. Life changes sometimes you have to give up things to gain others.
hhmmm...there are always tweaks and improvements on the second build of anything. Watching these videos & gathering tips on what to do and not to do, is why my very first minivan build is so good! @@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures
Most teachers have to make income during the summer. Do research. Or just recover.
Many teachers work from the road. They have Internet connection. They can do online classes. You can’t just assume they’re not working if they’re out traveling.
