The genius is he has a laugh with his friends and actually has fun, by using fifa. He could replace Fifa with any other game, it's just that the audience understand fifa. The actual content is the storylines, not the game itself. Also people like Danny Aaron's and Angry Ginge make the entertainment from about entertainers, not the game they are playing.

The problem is everyone seems to think that it's incompetence by EA. It's not. They know exactly what they are doing, it's on purpose. They don't need to give 2 shits about the gameplay itself, the problem is beyond that. They creat the problem which is "gameplay" but they offer a solution called "meta players" and you need to spend money for that solution. EA, as a company, are insanely good. They stoped being a gaming company a long time ago, they are a casino football theme park/skin company.

The main developer there is a weirdo and idi...t, but the game is still alright. Doesnt change much, only making squad updates, but you can play it via xbox game pass.
Apparently this year they promise major change in engine and stuff, but fans are sceptical.

The others who have evolved past fifa i still watch are the likes of Vizeh, Maqwell, FNG, to name a few. The rest I unsubscribed because it’s the same stuff every year.

I remember I started watching your channel in fifa 17 when I was looking for sbc solutions for the league and nations sbcs. Slowly I saw less uploads till you didn’t even show up on my recommendations. Early 2023 I was just on CZcams and randomly I thought “I wonder what happened to vizeh. Did he quit CZcams?” So I search up your channel and I see videos pop is that aren’t fifa based which caught my eye. I started watching some of them and they hooked me. So I guess I can understand what you mean about the transition being hard but I’m glad you came out the other side much better imo.

Just when the world needed him the most, he returns with another video talking about Fifa (I know it’s called EAFC now but whatever).
I’m glad you’re talking about Fifa and your experience with the franchise. Been watching you since you first started the Burnley career on Fifa 18 (still get a kick from your adoration of Dean Marney!) and I can say that you’ve definitely grown as a person, seeing that you have your own business and that you’re passionate about it.
Speaking from someone who is a huge Plymouth Argyle supporter and was a huge fan of Fifa career mode ever since Fifa 13 and trying to find ways to have fun despite EA not caring about it and favouring Ultimate Team all the way to EAFC 24, I started to see the cracks that were beginning to show when I started playing EAFC 24 career mode.
Coupled with the fact that I didn’t want to play UT (with all the gambling promoting and stuff) and that i wanted to stop playing video games like EAFC, I decided to stop altogether and focus on the things happening in real life like looking to make stop-motion animations and other hobbies.
So I have you to thank Liam, for you opening up about your own experiences and talking about EA’s predatory ways of making money off us simple folk.
Ive been playing Fifa since 06, only reason i keep playing is my love for the sport and interest to take a low club and take them to the top. Been doing it since i was 10. I used to play ultimate team a bunch but since fifa 20 not really fun anymore... the game is soleless, i want a new game to come out and compete so EA can get a taste pf reality and hope they make a good game...

I took a loooong break from Ultimate Team, from 2018 to 2023 i hadnt played ultimate team. I started in 2013 and fell in love instantly. When i came back from that break i realized so much had changed for the worse. Untradeable items, everyone has special card items from the start of the year, SBCs you can do daily just to get cards other people call " fodder " so they put it straight back into an sbc, completely changed division format, etc. Take me back to the O.G. ultimate team and just add Evos to that.

I don't think you understand how insane it is to see a Vizeh fifa video again. Thanks for also coming out and speaking on this. Nick definitely needs support for a lot of the flack he's caught. Inception another one who always calls them out for their issues, but what Nick has done now is a massive catalyst for *hopefully* large change in the long run

I sooo agree with you, CZcamsrs making money off other people's packs through shareplays so they don't have to spend money on them is a massive part of the problem.
You don't need to spend money on this game in particular have a good team. Content creation on fifa has become stale and unimaginative.
They call the videos by the name of RTG yet they don't go for glory they give up or use negative excuses when they can't achieve glory.

Gone are the days when students and teenagers in asian countries used to connect computers and laptops and play fifa, nfs and counter strike as a team using lan. Those experiences led us to be better as a gamer and taught us more about networking and technologies. All these new generation multiplayer games teach is to get lootboxes to win. Essentially making even young kids gamblers. So glad you picked up this issue brother.

This is a great message, I never bought packs or played UT but its really worrying how out of hand it is. There's a great young lad who sits near me at Argyle home games and I'm football friends with his family, he loves fifa but he is only around 10-13yrs and all he talks about is packs. The problem is rife among the younger generations and there isnt enough discourse or pressure to change it. Personally, I'm in the very small overlap between football fans and nerd/geek so I like Magic The Gathering (trading card game) but thats exactly the same problem - as is pokemon/yu-gi-oh - its sinister, vindictive loophole exploiting by large conglomorates to prey on the nievety and reduced critical thinking in the (still not fully developed) brains of CHILDREN to lure them into pseudo-gambling. I hate it. Thank you for committing your voice to a valuable message. I highly recommend anyone to read up on the work that the charity The Big Step do for more conventional gambling issues in sport
Great video mate. I used to save up pocket money to buy $50 worth of fifa points back in the day (12-15 years old). Am now 20 and wouldn't even consider giving this company money but I still have friends that are spending $100-200 a week, easily over $2k just this fifa alone. I always tell them to stop throwing their money away but they shrug it off. It really is heartbreaking. EA taking advantage of children and normalising gambling addiction from an early age.

I've always preferred career mode so while I have played a little bit of ultimate team here and there, I have never spent money on fifa except for buying the game
I used to buy fifa every year without even thinking. Hated the game but it was what everyone else did so I did it. Now the only football game I play is FM and it’s so much better.
I wish CZcamsrs who made videos of them using fifa points would age restrict the videos (it is literally gambling).

I liked your point about the game becoming a casino at the end. The devolution of Ultimate Team over the last decade is a good analogy for how dopamine abuse (packs, promos and shiny new cards) can fry someone's brain. People wanted more and more, and now the game mode is irreparably ruined. It also feels like a disgusting trap to get kids hooked on online gambling with packs, only for the footballing world to be infested with online betting apps when they turn 18 a few years down the line

In FIFA19 I used to tell my mother “Can I buy a pack for €5?” She used to say yes most of the time, then I’d spend another €5 without telling her. I’m ashamed of myself but I was young and stupid, now I don’t even buy the game cos it’s shit.

This latest edition is the first one I had no problem never buying. Last two I bought at a discount 5 months after release. Its a shame. I have always had enough liquid to spend 2000-3000 in points, and they've lost me. So CLEARLY its hurting them, I can't be the only one.

Last FIFA game I put alot of hours into was FIFA 20, mainly due to the first UK lockdown, having so much free time. Because I was being paid on furlough, I spent more on it then I should have really and at the end of the day, I felt cold and empty, and this was FIFA 20..
These days I only ever play FIFA when I've got mates round and we play friendly games, and I've never bought the game, only using the 10 hour EA Play free trial or when it comes onto EA Play permanently, I dip into UT very occasionally but never spend any money on it and for me, it's become an overwhelming mess

This is the last fifa I will own. I bought it release date and stop playing it 3 weeks later. I trued to play it again and tied 2-2 via two last minute goals from overhead kicks from center backs
The only time I've played fifa is when the previous editions go to game pass. Never stolen any money from my parents to buy packs, even when i was much younger and the naive temptation was there. I get my football enjoyment from playing football manager and watching football. The gambling aspect is why friends of mine still play, instead of wasting the money in casinos they do it on fifa instead.
I hadn't played a FIFA probably since FIFA 10-11. The first one i played was 98 and i have fond memories, but when I tried 08, it was special, it was something else. I was going through a dark phase, the love of my life broke up with me and having FIFA 08 around became my Coping mechanism. I would spend days, playing manager mode, trying different players, teams, strats, it was such a great escape and helped me move on. Got FC24 and my god! It's not what I remember, the Career mode experience feels so half assed and empty, there's less leagues from less countries, i can't see the overalls of the players anymore. It feels more like a chore and as time is wasted than actually enjoyed. From videos I've been watching, it seems like they went down that micro transaction path and just send to fuck all something that was so dear to me. I wouldn't hold high hopes or a candle for EA. They've always been sketchy, but it's so sad that something that at one point felt so good now feels so empty.

Yep I was that little kid. Fifa 13-14 ish when I was 14 ish, kept begging my man to let me buy fifa points. Must have spent over 200 quid at least on them. It’s quite sad how EA clearly try to target the younger audience.
